Pretty Thing is not typical JA Huss in that there isn’t any real mind-twisting or conspiracy theorizing or nail-biting suspense. However, it was a solid and sweet story. I agree, it was very different, and also very sweet… Since I didn’t expect sweet, I had a little bit of difficulty entering the story at first, even.   I know we both felt a little “lost” in Pretty Thing, wifey, because it wasn’t exactly what we’ve come to expect from Huss. The Takeover Effect was an excellent story on absolutely every level! A boardroom thriller / romance, it kept me riveted from start to finish. Add in a very strong and intelligent female lawyer, and a strong-minded, honest oldest son in charge of his own company coming back to save the family, and you have a recipe for greatness! Story: The Takeover Effect included some very strong, charismatic and career-oriented characters who made me swoon! The Risk was delicious! Reluctant romance is just so sweet – because the buildup makes everything so good. I loved Brenna and Jake – they just kind of clicked. Unbreakable had some pretty good excitement, very attaching characters, and a story that hurt my heart a little bit Unbreakable was full of feels! Some of them good feelings, other, not so positive.
