Review: If You Wrong Us – Dawn Klehr

Review: If You Wrong Us – Dawn Klehr

If You Wrong Us is a chilling psychological thriller, where the characters feel entitled to revenge, not thinking about how revenge could lead to much more hurt for everyone involved. My If You Wrong Us review: If You Wrong Us started out innocently enough, with Becca and Johnny trying to heal together after a car accident took the lives of Becca’s twin sister and Johnny’s mom. Both of them had trouble believing it was an accident, though, and they put a plan in action to make the guilty party pay as much as they felt they had paid, too. Becca was a very smart girl straight A student, and she tutored Johnny to help him with chemistry to help him […]

Review: Rock Chick Renegade – Kristen Ashley

Review: Rock Chick Renegade – Kristen Ashley

Rock Chick Renegade blew my socks off! Jules is the perfect, kick-ass heroine, and Vance made me melt. My Rock Chick Renegade review: I think what I enjoyed the most in Rock Chick Renegade was that Jules actually knew how to fight, use a gun, and take care of herself, plus, Vance actually listened to her when she told him to back off because she wanted to break up with him. Brownie points to Vance for that. Jules’ renegade vigilante justice made so much sense to me, and the way she was ready to not only talk the talk, but walk the walk and fight the fight for what she believed in made me squee and cheer her on. From […]

Blogtour Review: Driven Snow – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review: Driven Snow – Tara Lain

Driven Snow has all of Lain’s trademark wonders, the romance, the laughs, the heartache, the misunderstandings and characters that just make you want more! Welcome to my stop on the Driven Snow blogtour hosted by Enchantress Design & Promo. I am a huge Tara Lain fan, so when I saw that there was a review opportunity for her newest Pennymaker Tales story, I jumped right on it, and I am so happy I did! My Driven Snow review: What was really refreshing in Driven Snow was that both Snow and Prince were accepted as gay by their families, and Snow was out on campus as well. Prince, being the star quarterback of the college was only out to his coach, […]

Review: Rock Chick Redemption – Kristen Ashley

Review: Rock Chick Redemption – Kristen Ashley

Rock Chick Redemption was fucking phat! I especially loved Annette, even if she’s not even officially a rock chick 😀 It took me a little time to warm up to Hank and his bossy ways, but I really loved Roxie – high maintenance and all. My Rock Chick Redemption review: On the run from her ex-boyfriend, a possible drug-dealer and all around bad guy, Roxie arrived in Denver to find her uncle Tex. Rock Chick Redemption started with Roxie arriving at Fornum’s, where the whole gang was there, and she had her first meeting with Tex with the rock chicks and the Nightingale men as an audience. With a half-assed plan on how she’d be able to finally shake Billy […]

Review: Controlled Burn – Shannon Stacey

Review: Controlled Burn – Shannon Stacey

Both Jess and Rick were strong characters, with the odds stacked against them, thus making Controlled Burn both beautiful and a little melancholy. My Controlled Burn review: Controlled Burn starts with Jess going to Boston for the first time, to meet her grandparents for the first time after her grandfather had a slightly bad fall, and Jess’s father was unavailable to do anything for them. Because Rick had been her grandparents’ tenant for the past few years, they were like family, and Rick was quite suspicious of Jess’s motivations for showing up now that her grandparents might have to sell their house and move into a senior citizen community to take better care of themselves. Of course, the fact that […]

Review: Eighteen – J.A. Huss

Review: Eighteen – J.A. Huss

I’m not even sure what I’m going to say about Eighteen! It’s dark. It’s pretty effed up, and it is also a pretty intense and filled with secrets. My Eighteen review: At the beginning of Eighteen, I got to meet Shannon, and most of the time, I enjoyed her. I didn’t really enjoy Mateo, though, because he was so alpha and controlling, when he knew that Shannon had been through hell and partly back already. He was also in a position of power, where Shannon could have felt as if she didn’t have a choice at all. She did have a choice, though, and she made it, even if she wasn’t sure about what to do, or how to deal […]

Review: Mine – Stacey Kennedy

Review: Mine – Stacey Kennedy

Mine is the seventh story in the Club Sin series, and this might be one of the reasons why I didn’t enjoy it all that much – not having read the other books in the series. However, I also found Presley to be very insecure and quite naïve, and Dmitri didn’t really seem all that dominant to me. My Mine review: I do kind of wish I had read the other Club Sin novels before I got to Mine, but at the same time, I really wanted to read this! A short, sexy romp was what I was looking for, and I didn’t really get that, though. There is a lot going on in Mine, and very little of it […]

Review: Rock Chick Rescue – Kristen Ashley

Review: Rock Chick Rescue – Kristen Ashley

While Rock Chick Rescue had a lot of fun and hotness going on, I had trouble connecting with Jet, and found Eddie to be slightly stalkerish in his way to approach her. My Rock Chick Rescue review: Jet is one of those women who ‘has no idea’ how beautiful she is, and while I can believe that this can happen, with Jet, this is taken to the extreme, she can’t fathom why Eddie would ever be interested in her. Eddie is a very hot cop, and part of Nightingale’s friends. While he seemed like a great guy for a while, I found him to be so pushy in cases I would probably have called the cops on him! When Jet […]

Review: Love Revolution – Michelle Mankin

Review: Love Revolution – Michelle Mankin

Love Revolution had a bit too much drama for my taste, even if I enjoyed the characters and the overall story just fine. My Love Revolution review: So, a bit much drama made Love Revolution less enjoyable to me, and so did the fact that we followed two couples instead of one. This made me feel like I didn’t have enough time with either couple, and thus, I didn’t really get to know the characters as well as I would have liked. What little I did to see of Sarah made her seem very controlling, both of her environment (and the people around her) in general, and also over her little sister, Samantha. Luckily, I got to know why she […]

Review: November 9 – Colleen Hoover

Review: November 9 – Colleen Hoover

I don’t even know where to start to share my love for November 9! This author! This book! I’ve gone through all the feels, and now that I just finished reading, tears are falling down my cheeks – and they are both happy and sad at the same time. I have no idea how Hoover does it – but she always writes stories that are just perfect for me. My November 9 review: As soon as I got out of bed on November 10, I checked my kindle to see if my pre-order of November 9 had been delivered yet. And then, I did a happy-dance, made coffee and went outside on my terrasse in my PJ and a thick […]
