Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Dream Spinner ~ Kristen Ashley

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Dream Spinner ~ Kristen Ashley

Dream Spinner was a highly anticipated installment in the Dream Team series for me. Let’s start at the surface level before we delve deep into Hattie & Axl, shall we? Yes, let’s do that! I have to admit that I’ve been looking forward to Hattie and Axl’s story from the beginning – or at least since we met them. There seemed something a little deeper about these two and I was keen to explore it. KA had hinted at Hattie’s history so it wasn’t a surprise. Finding out she had indeed suffered abuse – both emotional and physical – at the hands of her father was sickening. Add to that her previous relationships…bad news. That she continued to expose herself […]

Review : The Boyfriend Project – Farrah Rochon

Review : The Boyfriend Project – Farrah Rochon

The Boyfriend Project is one of the most heartfelt, real, most adorable romances I have ever read! The Boyfriend Project was my first novel by Ms. Rochon, and I’m now a huge fan of hers. This novel is one of my top five favorites in 2020, both because it’s very well written, and because the female friendships started because of a very unfortunate situation for three women. Samiah working in a male-dominated universe also made her so strong, not because she wanted to be strong, but she had to be strong to succeed. In comes Daniel, a new colleague with a big secret, which is when The Boyfriend Project took on a romantic aspect as well. Even if both Samiah and […]

ARC Review ~ For His Pleasure ~ Shelly Bell

ARC Review ~ For His Pleasure ~ Shelly Bell

For His Pleasure was riveting, immediately pulling me into the the story, and it kept me engaged to the end. SBell writes suspenseful and HOT stories populated by fascinating characters and this one did not disappoint. Highlights: Characters Dreama and Cash were a forbidden match made in heaven. They’d both experienced tragic events and came out the other side stronger. Especially Dreama because despite her perceived weakness, she was one of the strongest women – always willing to fight for what is right. Cash was one of those guys who protects those he loves and would do bodily harm to anyone who hurts a woman. Noble. That’s a big commonality between Dreama and Cash. They’re both noble. And I adored […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ This Man Confessed ~ Jodi Ellen Malpas

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ This Man Confessed ~ Jodi Ellen Malpas

And here we are with This Man Confessed, the final installment of the This Man trilogy – although Malpas released #4 earlier this year. What do you think, wifey? Shall we read #4?  I definitely want to read #4, as I got that this summer as well… Now that I’ve come to really enjoy the story, I’m ready 😉    Finally we got the character development we were both wanting. Did you think it was worth the wait? Yes, it was worth the wait in many ways! But if I hadn’t already bought all three books, I’m not sure I would have bothered. I’m glad I did, though. Because we did get that character development, and we finally got to […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review: Beneath This Man – Jodi Ellen Malpas

Blogger Wife Chat Review: Beneath This Man – Jodi Ellen Malpas

Here we go again, with the second book in the This Man series by Jodi Ellen Malpas, Beneath This Man. I don’t think either of us were incredibly impressed with this installment, wifey, what did you think of the overall story? I felt like this was a filler story of sorts. Not much happened until the last third or so. However, the writing still made it compelling. I *had* to keep reading to see what happened next. Why do you think that is? Malpas also infused more humor into this installment and it was welcome. And that last third? Wowza! What did you think of the events and revelations in that final part? I agree! It totally felt like a […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review: This Man – Jodi Ellen Malpas

Blogger Wife Chat Review: This Man – Jodi Ellen Malpas

What did you think about the first meeting between Ava and Jesse? The sexual tension and chemistry was palpable, wasn’t it? Wowza! It was there from the very beginning and never seemed to wane. That Ava was dumbstruck when she walked into Jesse’s office almost had me giggling. But I also felt for her because she’d never experienced anything like it before and she certainly didn’t know what to do with those feelings.  I actually really enjoyed the sexual tension that was totally there from the get-go. It was a bit mysterious, and it was so strong I could feel it very strongly myself! What about how he kind of tricked her when she went back to The Manor? That […]

Review: Mystery Man – Kristen Ashley

Review: Mystery Man – Kristen Ashley

Mystery Man is classic KA! Very, very alpha male, lots of humour, love, suspense and squishy heart on my part… Story: There is so much going on in Mystery Man, some of it good, some of it bad, some of it ugly – all of it pretty amazing. Once I got over Hawk’s bossiness and Gwen’s waffling, I fell in love with them both. And as always, Ashley brought out the big guns when it comes to turns of phrases that made my heart turn over! Gwen’s sister was so much trouble, and she didn’t seem to care that she put her family in danger with her antics. Good thing that Gwen was on a lot of hot, alpha-men’s radar. And they […]

Review: Lethal Lies – Rebecca Zanetti

Review: Lethal Lies – Rebecca Zanetti

Lethal Lies is fast paced, filled with danger and delicious romance, even with a serial killer on the loose who will stop at nothing. Lethal Lies is filled with action, romance, secrets, and lies. It’s a fast-paced adventure with ties to both the past and the future. I somehow read this before the first book in the series, but I still loved the story, the characters and the plot – that’s testament to how good it was. Zanetti’s world is a dangerous place, where the mysteries of the past try to catch up with the blood brothers in the present. I love this whole universe, because Zanetti always manages to keep the world building on point, and the characters that […]

Review: Deadly Silence – Rebecca Zanetti

Review: Deadly Silence – Rebecca Zanetti

Deadly Silence was packed with action, danger and romance, and I couldn’t set the book down until I had finished reading! This series is even more fast paced than the Sin Brothers series, and that’s saying something. Deadly Silence is the first in a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series, and I do think it’s important to read that series first to get some of the things that happen this one. Especially when it comes to some of the mystery surrounding the blood brothers. And there is so much action in this story it was at such a break-neck speed it was hard to catch my breath more than once! I enjoyed both the backstory and the present story, both were important […]

Review: Kaleidoscope – Kristen Ashley

Review: Kaleidoscope – Kristen Ashley

Kaleidoscope had some beautiful metaphors, but Emme and Deck didn’t wow me as much as other Colorado Mountain couples have. The main thing that made Kaleidoscope less enjoyable to me was that in many ways, Emme was just too high strung and high maintenance for me. I did get why at the very end, but by that time, I didn’t care that much anymore. I totally loved Deck, though, and the connections he had both with the rest of the Colorado Mountain men, and with the Rock Chick guys. One thing I love with Kristen Ashley is the strong sense of community, and that was present in Kaleidoscope as well. So was both the incredible mystery, the suspense, and the […]
