The Fiery Heart exceeded all my expectations! Well written, of course, and so much character growth, but a terrible cliffhanger in the end! I don’t know how I’ll be able to wait until Silver Shadows is released in July next year! But let me start with the beginning! At the end of The Indigo Spell, Zoe, Sidney’s sister is transferred to room with Sydney and be a second Alchemist making sure Jill stays safe. Oh, Adrian, how you grew in The Indigo Spell, I start to understand those who loved you dearly in Vampire Academy better and better with each Bloodlines book! Sydney also made some changes in The Indigo Spell, she understood more about the Alchemists, and also more about her own powers. It was really wonderful to read about the new adventures our merry little gang of vampires, dhampirs and alchemists went through. Both Sydney and Adrian continued to grow, as they had started to already in The Golden Lily. The Golden Lily actually surprised me in a very good way! I was a little cautious before I started it, because I had heard rumors of a love triangle, and I hate love triangles in my books. I wish I hadn’t listened to those rumors, because I would have read this long before I actually did. Sydney continues to be herself in this story, and at the same time, she lets herself grow as well, even when what she wants to do seems to be against her Alchemist beliefs.
