k Saturday #2
Sidekick Saturday is a weekly meme hosted by Jaclyn at JC’s Book Haven. There are many secondary characters that are as great as the primaries. In some cases, the sidekicks actually steal the show and you like them better than the heroine or hero. Maybe they didn’t have enough page time for how great they were. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Choose a sidekick *or someone other than the hero or heroine* that you would like to put in the spotlight that fits in this week’s type
• Share a picture and information about the character
• Give the title and author of a book the character can be found in
• Please don’t include too many spoilers when describing why the character is such a great sidekick
This week’s sidekick needs to be a shifter – my choice for a sidekick shifter is Logan Cross from Dannika Dark’s Mageri series. So far, three books have been released, and I truly loved all of them! Logan is a Chitah – and I guess it might be more politically correct to call him a were, but I needed someone who can change into an animal, and Logan is perfect – he is good-looking, honorable and loyal to a fault. In Sterling, he wasn’t around yet, and when he first showed up in Twist, he was not on my cute list at all! Now, though, I can say that he is the kind of character I never tire of learning more about – so I really can’t wait for Gravity to be released on May 22nd so I can read more about both Logan and Sterling 🙂
“I won’t touch you,” I assured him, knowing I could throw a burst of energy that would undoubtedly drop the curtain on the moment. “I have it under control.”

Courtship to a male Chitah was more than roses and candy – it was proving his worth.
Something this elegant always seemed excessive, but sitting beside Logan, I felt beautiful.
“Because I know it in my bones. You are the only female I desire, the only water that will quench my thirst, the only sun that will warm my skin, the only lips that were made for mine.”
“Fire should never be tempered in a female because that’s what fuels her passion, causing it to ignite.” He lifted my chin with his hand and stroked his thumb gently across my lips. “All a male can hope for is to be consumed by it until there is nothing left of him.” (From Impulse)

I haven’t seen this one before, but I have it added to my to-read list. Those quotes have me really wanting to get to know Logan. He sounds like such an excellent choice for this week! Oh, I hope you’ll like it Jaclyn! I think the first books in the series are on sale on amazon now, because the fourth book is being released late May 🙂

Oh sheesh, he has amazing lines. He’s swoon worthy for sure. I just added book one to my Goodreads shelf. Somehow this series went unnoticed. I’m so glad you’re participating in the Sidekick Saturdays.
