Sidekick Showcase – Cowboy
Today’s sidekick is a cowboy, and if you know me at all, you know I just love cowboys. They’re tough and polite at the same time, and man, with their cowboy hats and boots, tight jeans and hard bodies… I just swoon! The cowboy I have chosen for today is a little different… he’s the head of the Cadogan House’s security in the Chicagoland Vampires series. His name is Luc, and he has longish hair, always wears a cowboy hat and his boots, and he’s really trying to get together with Lindsey who is Merit’s best friend in Cadogan House…
“I don’t care if they’re taking your picture, asking you for your autograph, or buying your drinks! This. Is. Completely. Unacceptable.”
“This isn’t exactly the approved Cadogan uniform,” Luc pointed out. “But those jeans are sweet,” I whispered. “I know, right?” She grinned back at me. Seriously on sale.” “Seeing your tiny ass on the cover of the Weekly isn’t the way to my heart, Blondie,” Luc said. “Then my plan worked.” Lyndsay said. Luc growled, his patience obviously thinning. “Is this truly the best you can do for your house?”
Luc snorted, but his expression was gleeful. “Sweetheart, you wouldn’t know professional if it bit you on the ass.” “I prefer my bites in other places.” “Is that an invitation?” “If only you were so lucky, cowboy.” “Lucky? Hooking up with me would be the luckiest day of your life, Blondie.”
All of the above quotes are taken from Friday Night Bites (Chicagoland Vampires #2)
So, who’s your sidekick cowboy? Please leave me a link in the comments so I can come check out sour Sidekick Showcase post 🙂
Have a spectacular Saturday and a wonderful weekend 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
I love cowboys! great pick
Thanks Jodie 🙂
It’s been so long since I read the first few books in the series. But now I remember Luc. He had personality to spare. Great pick! I haven’t figured out who I’m choosing yet. Have a great weekend, Lindsey!
I look forward to seeing who you end up choosing, Robyn 🙂 I didn’t have to think very long about Luc, because I love how funny he is, I thought of him as soon as I saw ‘cowboy’ over at Jaclyn’s.
Have a great weekend yourself 🙂 I’m hoping the weather will cool down a little bit, it’s so hot here we’re melting.
The luckiest day of your life?? OOOHHH. I love how much you mention this series, it really makes me want to pick it up. The only thing that gives me pause is that I know you said it has been slowing down after so many books. Luc seems like a pretty interesting character. A cowboy that’s head of security. That would definitely make him tough. I love the last quote – it’s my favorite. Show’s so much fun. Excellent choice 😀 I really enjoyed learning more about him! Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven.
LOL, right? Yup Luc could probably get away with a bite or two 😉 And yes, I was so into this series in the beginning. I know a lot of fans still love it as much as they did in the beginning, but I have become much more critical of stuff since everything was turned upside down in book 4…
Thanks for stopping by Jaclyn 🙂 Have a fantastic Saturday evening.
I haven’t read this series yet, Lexxie. But I remember some of your reviews and maybe having picked Merit for a Sidekick before?!? Anyway, you made an impression. 🙂 So I definitely want to meet Luc. The quotes are fantastic!
So, here’s a series I will challenge myself to start before the end of the year, Lexxie. I have at least the first 2 sitting on my shelf, after all. 😉
I hope your weekend is going splendidly! 🙂
Brandee, if you already own the first two (or more?) books you should definitely read them! I loved the first three or four in this series… And my earlier sidekick was Seth for most villainous villain 🙂
Luc is a pretty cool cowboy, but he can be tough when he needs to.
My weekend is great so far, apart from being too hot – and that’s supposed to change drastically next week – so I really can’t complain.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope your weekend is awesome, too.
Lexxie, you know I have an addiction…and it leads me to buy more books than I can read! LOL I still want to read Sterling before the summer is over – I have ~4 weeks. 😉 But I will add Chicagoland to be by the end of the year. That should be manageable for me.
My weekend is going well…getting ready for our vacation. And it’s unseasonably cool here. So that is very nice.
*hugs*
I really wonder about that addiction, it’s too easy to get ‘just a few more books’ and then kind of think that there will suddenly be extra hours every day just so I can read them 😉 Oh, you really, really need to read Sterling! Those books are amazing. And I look forward to seeing what you think of Chicagoland as well.
I hope you’ll have an awesome vacation! I need to start getting stuff ready, myself, we’re leaving next Saturday for the beach and Spain 😀
Have a beautiful Sunday Brandee. *hugs*
