A Light in the Dark cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsA Light in the Dark (Fallout #2) by Becky Doughty – I won this in NerdGirl’s random giveaway on Facebook on Saturday, Thank you, NerdGirl and Becky!

On stage, Tish Ransome sings about heartache and passion, betrayal, and about love gone wrong… but she knows very little about any of it in real life. The rockstar princess who swears like a pirate—literally—is loved and adored by family, friends, and fans alike, and her world is filled with good things, her future bright.
Behind the scenes, however, trouble is brewing. When Tom, her best friend and co-founder of the Marauders, tells her he’s leaving the band after graduation, Tish must find a new wingman to step into Tom’s hard-to-fill shoes. The moment she hears Sebastian Jeffries play, she knows he’s the one.
Yet with Sebastian comes a taste of the things Tish only writes about, and she can’t resist the lure of the tortured artist. Sebastian, likewise, is drawn to Tish’s brilliance, but like a moth that hovers too close to the flames, is he killing himself just to be near her? Can Tish save Sebastian before it’s too late, or will he pull her down into the darkness with him?

  1. I’m so excited by my reading and buying right now! I’m so enjoying my zombiethon and just want to keep reading them! Would be nice if my reading enthusiasm lasted all year instead of last year’s multiple reading slump issues! Enjoy your books!

  2. Great haul! I love the books that you won and were gifted. I think it is a little sweeter reading a book that you received in this manner.

I have to ask about the audiobook review copies. Where are you getting these? I am really curious even though I have an audible library that will take me years to get through.

  3. Great haul! I’m thinking about picking-up “Croc’s Return”. I do enjoy Langlais, just a little unsure of that one because of the description. Not a huge fan of lovers reunited, especially if Langlais goes the way I’m thinking she does with the plot.

    Happy reading!
