Stacking The Shelves #2
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
I recently started participating in Stacking The Shelves, because I figured I really need to keep better track of books I’m adding to my huge TBR pile every week. At the same time, I also think it’s a great way of connecting with other bloggers. So come on in, and see what books I picked up last week :
Left (Still Standing #1) by T. R. Graves. I was supposed to participate in a blogtour for this book a few weeks ago, and then something happened with an e-mail, and I never got the confirmation nor the ARC, but I really wanted to read this, so I had to get it myself! I think it will be a pretty tough read, as the main character is dealing with the aftermath of her mother’s suicide, as well as a bad break-up. If I cry I might need to chat with some of you who have already read it.
I also got a surprise! I had coffee with Katie Hayoz on Thursday morning, and she gifted me with a paperback of her book Untethered. I have already read and reviewed this paranormal YA novel, if you’d like you can find my review here. Also, since yesterday, Untethered is free for kindle for three days. And I believe Katie is doing a giveaway on her blog. The giveaway is for $25 gift certificate from Amazon, and it runs until November 18th. I can recommend Untethered, of course, because it’s a different kind of paranormal, where Sylvie is capable of astro-projection.
I just participated in the cover reveal for Stripped Clean, and I love both the blurb and the cover, so when I had the opportunity to sign up for the blog-tour of this book by Ellis Carrington, I did so, and I promptly got the ARC to read. I already started reading, and I think it’s really awesome so far. It’s well written with likable characters who are struggling with their needs going against their morals.
Today, I’m leaving for London with my 18-year old daughter and her best friend + mom (who is one of my best friends)! It’s my b-day present to my now adult child. I figured I should participate in the travel, because I love London. So if I’m not able to get back to you as soon as I’d like, please don’t be mad – it probably means my internet connection is wonky. But I promise I’ll stop by at the latest after I get back on Wednesday evening.
Please leave me a link to your Stacking the Shelves post so I can come and check out your new books as well. Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful Sunday.
Great haul Lexxie! I haven’t read any of these but they look really good!
Thanks Chelsea 🙂 The ones I have read are excellent!

We need to do that again, soon, Katie 🙂 Have you signed up for the November Clean your E-Reader challenge? That’s going to be fun!

Great haul, Lexxie! 🙂 I loved Left! It is very emotional…and gut-wrenching. I can’t wait to hear what you think. Yay for Untethered! I’m still loving that cover. And – you already know what I think about Stripped Clean. 😉 Happy Sunday, Lexxie! *hugs*
I need to make sure I’m up to an emotional rollercoaster when I start reading Left, then? And so far, Stripped Clean is awesome 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Brandee.
Definitely, Lexxie. I was kinda reeling after finishing it. But I loved it! And I’m really looking forward to Stripped Clean. 🙂
Ouch, this is a truly lovely haul here Lexxie! I’m loving the covers for Unthethered and Left…though Stripped Clean is pretty nice to look at too 😉 Glad you enjoyed them all too 😀 Oh man, have a BLAST in London ♥ I wish I were going too hehe, dream escape right there!
I did have a blast in London, Micheline! It was a lot of fun. Not much time for reading, though – I have some catching up to do 🙂
I haven’t read Left and Stripped Clean yet, but soon, I will.
Have a great weekend.
Waaaaaaaaaa. I am so sorry about this very late reply, Lexxie. Hahhaha. Books and life got in the way. I really need to fix my schedule. *sighs*
All of these books are new to me but I love the cover for Untethered. I hope you had fun reading them. Am I right to assume that you already finished them? I know you’re a fast reader. xD
LOL, I had actually forgotten about this post, so when I saw a notification here, I realized I hadn’t commented to any of my blogger-friends who have commented here :O That’s not good.
I haven’t read all of these yet, Untethered I read a while ago, and I am currently reading Stripped Clean. Left will have to wait a little bit 🙂
Hope you’re doing well, Charlotte!
