Stacking The Shelves #3

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I recently started participating in Stacking The Shelves, because I figured I really need to keep better track of books I’m adding to my huge TBR pile every week. At the same time, I also think it’s a great way of connecting with other bloggers. So come on in, and see what books I picked up last week :

Second Chances - (un)Conventional BookviewsI am participating in the blogtour for Second Chances by Jo Briggs, and my eARC arrived this week.

Blurb: Layla Keyes is back in England. Much has changed in the five years since she moved to New York to pursue a modelling career – On the outside she appears independent, self-assured and enjoying running her own successful fashion label.
On the inside she is determined to take back what she lost five years ago when misunderstandings allowed a jealous third party to manipulate and interfere in destroying her relationship with Evan Carter.
Evan Carter has spent all that time pretending to not be affected by the loss of Layla from his life.
A twist of fate brings the two back together as they are forced to share a few days alone.
Can their love be rekindled despite the secrets they still have to confess to each other?

I am looking forward to reading this – I love stories about second chances!

The Cowgirl Ropes a Billionaire - (un)Conventional BookviewsI received an eARC of The Cowgirl Ropes a Billionaire from One Acre Press via Netgalley. I love the Chance Creek series, the cowboys are hot, and the relationships great. It’s going to be nice to read about one of the girls as the main character for once!

BlurbBella Chatham will lose everything – her veterinary practice, her animal shelter, and even her home – if she can’t find another source of income, fast. So when her best friend signs her up for the hot new reality television show, Can You Beat a Billionaire, Bella accepts the challenge and hopes against hope she can win the ten million dollar prize. If she doesn’t, it’s bye-bye pet clinic and shelter, bye-bye Chance Creek, Montana, and hello to marriage to the billionaire for a year!

Allegiant - (un)Conventional BookviewsMy copy of Allegiant arrived on my kindle this week, and I was so excited to read it – now, though, I’ve seen quite a few lukewarm reviews, and I’m not so sure anymore 🙁 I really enjoyed the first two books, and I don’t want to feel let down by Allegiant.

Fearsome - (un)Conventional BookviewsI won a copy of Fearsome from Bookworm Brandee, and I am hoping we’ll be able to do a buddy-read! I love the cover, isn’t it beautiful?
Blurb: Jessica Channing’s big city life should be more exciting than sixty-hour work weeks and popcorn nights with her girlfriends, but it’s not. She has worked hard fulfilling her role as a child prodigy and graduating college years before her peers. She’s the good girl, the brilliant girl.
Unfortunately, she’s also the dateless young woman.
That all changes with one phone call. Jess’s rigid, predictable life upends when she must visit a small, obscure town to deal with a relative’s death. This isn’t just any little speck of a town, though. Long lost memories come crashing down on Jess’s world when two men, the Blackard brothers, seem to lure her in.

Entrusted - (un)Conventional BookviewsAnd, after participating in the cover reveal for Entrusted last week, I was really excited about the story, so I signed up for the blogtour. I just received the ARC and can’t wait to read this.
Blurb: How far would you go to protect the people you love?
Thrust into a world of Native American legends about Skinwalkers and Ancient Ones, Emma Hunter finds herself in the middle of a battle for a heart holding great powers – A heart hidden within her.
Seventeen-year-old Emma wants what every teenage girl wants: a life that revolves around school, her friends, and a boyfriend who only has eyes for her. Little does she know that in order to get one, she must sacrifice the other two. After a series of events put into motion by Luke, the boy she thought loved her, Emma is kicked out of her group home and her school. Her best friend mysteriously vanishes and now she’s forced to move to a secluded coastal town, where she hopes to escape Luke’s obsessive control.

Please leave me a link to your Stacking the Shelves post so I can come and check out your new books as well. Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful Sunday.

    • I’ve heard mixed things about Allegiant myself, Melliane, but I’ve been looking forward to this book for a long time! Now, I’m a little bit nervous, though.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading 🙂

    • Allegiant has been mentioned everywhere this week! I hope I’ll love it as much as I loved the first two books 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Grace.

    • Second Chances does look pretty awesome, doesn’t it? I look forward to all of these books, and I hope Allegiant will be enjoyable.

      Thanks for stopping by Lindy.
