Stacking The Shelves - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Stacking The Shelves #1

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

This is my first time participating in Stacking The Shelves, because I figured I really need to keep better track of books I’m adding to my huge TBR pile every week. At the same time, I also think it’s a great way of connecting with other bloggers. So come on in, and see what books I picked up last week :

For review (from Netgalley):

Baiting the Boss - (un)Conventional BookviewsLove Game - (un)Conventional Bookviews WaterfellCrash Into You - (un)Conventional BookviewsTempting the Cowboy - (un)Conventional BookviewsSnowbound with the CEO - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I have been going a little click-happy on Netgalley lately, but there are so many great books out there! I have actually already read both Crash Into You and Snowbound with the CEO since I received them. I am looking forward to Baiting the Boss, Love Game, Waterfell and Tempting the Cowboy.

Bought (kindle versions):

Bare it All Run the Risk Untold The Duke and I dance for me Just One Year Soul Bender Soul Walker cloak and silence

Bare it All and Run the Risk just had to be added to my TBR because I read and loved Getting Rowdy which is the third book in the same series. I got Untold, too, even if I wasn’t too keen on Unspoken, but I hope I will like it more – SRB is one of my favorite authors after all. The Duke and I was recommended to me by several bloggers, and since I love historical romance, I thought I might as well just get it. Dance for Me is the first book in the Fenbrook Academy series, and I loved In Harmony which is the second. Just One Year has been on pre-order ever since that was possible, I loved Just One Day so much it’s been pretty hard to keep waiting. Soul Bender and Soul Walker are written by my very good blogging friend Robyn, and I’ve been curious about her books for a long time. Cloak and Silence is part of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s The League series which I love, so I couldn’t resist that one either.

Please leave me a link to your Stacking the Shelves post so I can come and check out your new books as well. Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful Sunday.

    • Hi Trish, I hope you’ll enjoy Crash Into You as much as I did! I gave it five stars, I think it’s actually my favorite in the series.

I haven’t read Dance for Me yet, but In Harmony was beautiful, with a musical theme, set in the same academy as Dance for ME.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • That’s interesting about the Getting Rowdy and the other books in the series. Crash Into You was amazing! I hope you’ll enjoy it, too, Kathy 🙂

  1. Awesome Haul Lexxie!!! You will LOVE Crash Into You! It was such a great book! I’m looking forward to reading Lori Foster’s Lover Undercover Series too 🙂 I just bought those same two books fore my Kindle two weeks ago! Now, if only there were more minutes in the day!

    • I actually have already read – and loved Crash Into You, I think it’s the best in the Pushing the Limits sereis!

The Lover Undercover series seems great, the 3rd book was really good, at least 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • Oh man, yes, but when? I don’t know when I’ll have time to actually read all of these 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Stormi!

  2. Aha! Welcome to the world of Stacking the Shelves, Lexxie. So glad that you decided to join the fun. I am so envious that you got Crash Into You. I just recently put in a request in NG but until now, I haven’t received any feedback yet. And is it worth mentioning that I haven’t read the first two books yet? Hahaha. I know but I will bump them up on my TBR when NG approves my request. I just can’t stand the hype of Katie’s work. Plus Katie is so approachable on Twitter so yeah, that made me decided to read her books.

And yay to the Duke and I, I’ve read it around 7-10 years ago and I enjoyed it. I hope it will work for you, Lexxie. Whew! I love me a rakish man. Hahaha.

    • Charlotte, you could totally read Crash Into You without having read the other books first, I don’t think it would make the story or characters too difficult to follow. It took almost a month before I heard back that I was accepted, so be patient 🙂 I love the way she writes, these books deal with characters that seem so real it hurts!

I love me a rakish man as well, and historical romances are my go-to genre when I want something light and fluffy 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Charlotte!
