The Sunday Post #19 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting The Sunday Post every week. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week has been both exhausting and exhilarating! On Monday morning, we left for Spain, in order to install our IKEA furniture in our apartment there. We also had to buy a fridge, a dish-washer and a washing machine, plus I had to go to a phone company to set up internet and stuff like that. I sure had to brush up on my Spanish in order to get things done, and we worked like mad-men and -women for three days before we went back home on Thursday. The difference in the apartment is simply amazing, and when we go back down for Easter, we will be able to just be on vacation 😀

Elsewhere in the Blogosphere:

Michelle @ Because Reading has a great post about Page Numbers

Brandee @ Bookworm Brandee is braver than me… she has a #Shelf Love Book Budget Post up this week. I just can’t stick to a budget when it comes to books, but I really should – I own more books than I’ll ever find the time to read, but I still keep adding more!

Iza over at The E-Reader Junkie has the cutest post about Lazy Cats. With gifs!!

And I’m showing off my tattoos over at Novel Ink this week 😉

A little bonus – isn’t this just beautiful? I love the song, and the dance here is so well done, as is the play with light made by the person who filmed it.

What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. Wow! It really came together so nicely! I will be so nice to just get a chance to go and relax instead of having to set up. I remember waiting for out house at the shore to be done and when we spent the first night when it was all finished I was so excited. Good Luck with the house! I hope you make tons of memories there.

Thanks for the shout out, Lexxie! Have a great week!!! oxox

    • Yeah, it was a lot of work to get the whole apartment set up like that, but it will be SO worth it when we all go for our Easter vacation 🙂 And we were definitely excited to spend our first night there, Michelle.
Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  3. Oh yes, it’s completely different ! And is there the sea you see from the window ? Hey, thanks for mentioning me 🙂 This video is superb, the light, and the poise and talent of the dancer. I always admire how dancers can control all the parts of their body and seem to never care about balance. Have a great week, Lexxie, mwah !

    • Yes, that is the sea we see from the window! It’s pretty close to the beach, even if it’s not on the beach-front 🙂 The little road the apartment is on is really quiet, but we only have to walk for a few minutes to have several nice restaurants and bars, so it’s very well situated.
I agree, the dancer is awesome, and the play of light is amazing 🙂 I just had to share.
Have a great week yourself 😀

    • LOL Goldie 🙂 Well, it’s only a short drive, it took us 6.5 hours to drive down, and more or less the same to get back home.

  4. Wow you really managed to transform the appartment in those three days! I hope you will be able to enjoy it when you get back there during easter! I like the red and black colour scheme! Hope you have a great week!

  5. It’s amazing how beautifully it all came together, Lexxie. I know you and your family are really going to enjoy your vacation spot! 😉 It’s just lovely!! And I’m glad you’ll have internet so we can chat. *ha*

Thanks for the shout-out and for sharing the video, too. Hopefully you’re done with the pesky paper and are enjoying some reading! 🙂 *big hugs*

    • Thank you, Brandee! We worked more or less non stop for three days to make sure all the furniture would be ready 🙂 And I can’t wait to go back for some lazy days over Easter. Hopefully, my internet connection will be working then. I may have to brush up on my Spanish a little more… a technician called and said he was coming to install everything on Thursday morning at 10… at 2 he still hadn’t arrived, and we were driving back home, so for the time being, there’s no internet.
      *BIG HUGS*

    • I love both decorating and redecorating, too, Laurel-Rain, and while it was tiring to do it all in just three days, we had fun as well.

  6. The apartment looks fabulous. I’ve always had a list of destinations in mind for when we’re able to travel to Europe and until recently Spain was never on it but lately I’ve been seeing it everywhere and it just looks amazing. I’m curious about the Boys of Summer book. Great links as well. I’m not sure I want to think to much about a book budget or how many books I’ll actually ever be able to read. I fully believe I will read them all! Have a great week!

    • Thanks Katherine 🙂 I can’t wait to get back to Spain and just hang out.

I fully believe I’ll somehow read all my books, too, if not I wouldn’t have bought them. Have a great week.

  7. It looks like everything is really coming together!! I would love to visit Spain, but I’m so bad with languages. I’ve taken French and Spanish, and I could never really pick up on it.

I’m over here from Novel Ink; loved your tattoos!

    • It does look quite good, I can’t wait to go back 🙂 My Spanish is pretty rusty, but I’m sure it will come back.

Thanks for the compliment on my tattoos, Lauren 🙂

  8. That’s a nice view, and looks like the water is close. You guys did a good job, it looks nice and ready to go. Enjoy your upcoming vacation, and hope your week is good this week.
