The Sunday Post #7 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up post. I am signing up with Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting the Sunday Post every week.

This week has been pretty good, I’ve advanced some in the stuff I have to read for classes, and I have started to think more about my MA thesis as well. My mom arrived on Thursday, and is leaving later today. It’s so nice to see her again! We have always gotten along really well, and we’ve had a great time. Yesterday, we went to a sound and light performance at the university, and it was spectacular. It was about the planets, science and evolution, and both the lights and the music were beautiful.

    • It was so good! It lasted about 20 minutes, and when it was finished, we wanted it to keep on showing us different civilisations and landmarks and the like 🙂

  1. *cries* I just brought her to the airport an hour ago. It was a short but sweet visit! And a short visit is definitely better than no visit 🙂
    Have a great Sunday, Lola.

    • I might put up all the videos I filmed to Youtube… I think I have 15 – because they changed the music and the lights quite often – and I didn’t want to do one long video. I had to watch some of it just with my eyes as well.
Have a lovely week, too, Brandee. Enjoy spending it with family and friends! *BIG HUGS*

    • We really had a great few days together, Laurel-Rain. And it’s always nice to see her, since we live so far apart. My kids were excited to spend time with her as well, so the weekend was a win!

    • It was really great, Berls. And I’m like you, those kind of shows always enchant me 🙂
I guess because I’ve already started to think about my MA thesis it helps me stay calm, because I just started my MA classes this fall, so I have lots of time to finalize it.
Have a great week yourself 🙂

    • I’m glad you got to spend some time with your mom and your brother, Laura! It’s nice to see family, and sad when they have to go back home.
      Have a great week.

  2. The light and sounds show sounds amazing! Glad you enjoyed it! It sounds like you had a great visit and how fantastic you get along so well with your mother. I think it’s best that mine lives in the same town that I do because if she didn’t and she stayed with me I’m not sure both of us would survive it! Have a great week!

    • Haha! We have a small studio apartment at our house, that’s where my mom stays when she comes to visit. And she usually only comes for three or four days at a time 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by, Katherine.

  3. Really cool lightshow! And I love that you and your mom get along so well. My mother is one of my best friends – and so is my daughter, so I seem to be continuing the tradition.

Now I have to check out your review of the Mrs. Miracle book – I read one of the early ones, but haven’t kept up with the series, and it’s charming!
