The Sunday Post #8 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my weekly wrap-up post. I am signing up with Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. This week was another good week, I had things ready for my classes, and I had a date with my husband and Lenny Kravitz on Tuesday 😀 It’s the third time we’ve seen LK in concert, and while he is always awesome on stage, we were both a little disappointed, because they were have a total jam-session with every single song on the set-list. Which means that for a concert that lasted just over two hours, we got maybe only 15 songs.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
That’s sad that the concert wasn’t as good as you expected, but I hope you still had a fun evening. I am not really a concert goer, I went to a concert once, but ym ears are so sensitive the concert felt more like torture, so I never went to a concert after that.
You had a busy week on the blog!
If the music is too loud, I’m sure the concert experience can be excruciating, Lola. We did have a good evening anyway, just hanging out the two of us is always a good thing 🙂
Have a great Sunday 🙂
I have had that happen with an author who performs readings of his work – the second time was not as good.
That’s just so sad, Steph! I think that sometimes it’s partly because our expectations are just really high, and partly because we wanted something different.
I’ve always like Lenny Kravitz, looks like a fun show although sorry to hear they got a little carried away with the jam session. 🙂 I’d like to see him if he ever came through my neck of the woods.
Have a great week!
He’s definitely worth seeing live, Greg! I’ve seen him twice before, and felt completely transported afterwards. That sadly didn’t happen this time. Have a great week yourself 🙂
I’m not into concerts so much anymore for that reason. It’s so loud and crowded. I do like going to outdoor ones sometimes. We get so many here on the Gulf Coast. I just stay away from the crazy ones at the beach. LOL
Often, the whole atmosphere of a concert just makes everything amazing, though, which is why I keep going to see my favourite artists when I can 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Laura.
Great post. Sucks about the concert though, when you’ve built up your expectations it’s not nice when things fall short.

Sometimes, I think it’s exactly the built up expectations that makes things not live up, Cora 🙂
Oh, the concert sounds good! I really need to get to one….and soon. When I see a movie with great music, I am swept away, remembering concerts. LOL
Enjoy your week…and I am going to check out some of your links.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
The last two LK concerts I went to were a lot better, though, Laurel-Rain.
I’m sorry your concert was a bit disappointing, but I hope you enjoyed your date night anyway! 🙂 Thanks for the links – some of those blog posts sound good. I’ll go check them out!
Yes, going on a date with my husband is always awesome, Lark 🙂
I have never seen Lenny Kravitz in concert, it must have been awesome. Sorry that it wasn’t what you expected.
I just discovered your blog, but I am definitely subscribing. I am also on The Body Electric tour. I hope it is a good one.
Have a great week!
He is always charismatic, but he was much more ‘there’ during the two other concerts I’ve been to.
I look forward to The Body Electric, too, Karen, and I hope we’ll both enjoy it.

Live is never quite as good, sorry it wasn’t quite what you anticipated. Hope your week is delightful and you find time to get lost in a good book Lexxie.
I hope I’ll find the time to get lost in a good book or two as well, Kim 🙂 Have a great week!

You lucky girl! Lenny Kravitz is one of those rock stars who can melt my panties off! He is so sexy, I want to be his American (Filipino) Woman!!
Oh, I agree Braine, each time we’ve been to see him, I’ve told my hubby on the forehand that if Lenny blinks at me, and asks me to come with him, I’ll leave Mr. Lex behind 😀
That is disappointing when the song sets aren’t what you expected. But it sounds like you still had a fun date night. I saw everyone talking about JA Huss in the COYER group so now I have got to read her books. Have a great week!!
We definitely had a very fun date night, Kathy. And you know, up there on stage, it was still Lenny Kravitz 😀
Yes, you definitely have to read JA Huss books. They are awesome 🙂
Have a great week, Kathy.
I remember when you bought the tickets for Lenny Kravitz. I was sooo envious. I’m still envious but sorry the concert wasn’t everything you’d hoped it would be. I’m sure the time with your hubby was nice though. 🙂 And LK is always nice to look at! 😉 Thanks for sharing the videos.
*big hugs*
He was very sexy up there on stage, for sure, Brandee 😉 Time with my hubby is always nice, it’s not all that often we go on a date 🙂
The Lenny Kratviz concert looks fun! I’ve heard he’s amazing! The LaFevers series is on my TBR. They look great! Have a fantastic week!
I hope you’ll love His Fair Assassin as much as I did, Katherine! I thought it was so well done 🙂
Concerts can be disappointing at times, but I hope you had fun though.
