The Sunday Post #76 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week was nice and short! I only worked on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and am now off until April 4th. On Thursday, I went to Norway to pick up puppy Freddy, and we came home yesterday. So, here’s some puppy-love – we are all so very, very happy to have him here at home! The first plane ride was a bit hard for him, he didn’t really want to be in his tiny carrier, he wanted to be on my knees… The second plane ride went perfectly well, as I put him inside the little basket before I boarded the plane, and he slept the whole way.

  1. Your puppy is adorable! Is this the first dog for you and your family? I can only imagine how nervous a pet would be on an airplane. I’ve adopted all of my cats from somewhat local shelters, and the longest they’ve had to travel is a few hours in the car when I’ve moved…and they definitely don’t like it!

    Enjoy your spring break!

    • It’s the first dog, yes 🙂 The kids are so, so happy, but then again, so are my husband and I. Freddy does well in the car, thank goodness, but I can understand that traveling isn’t really fun for animals.
Thanks for stopping by, Cristina 🙂

  2. I completely blanked everything after seeing photos of Freddy! He is adorable! Happy Easter! Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. OMG LOOK AT FREDDIE!! He’s ADORABLE ♥ All snuggled up there!! Poor sweetie wanted to cuddle for his first plane ride! It’s good that he slept through the second one and after that he was home with you 😀 Oh and thanks for the shoutout my friend^^ Have a wonderful week and enjoy your vacation and new family member!! xx

  4. Aww Freddy is so cute and adorable! I love those pictures where he sleeps on your knees. I can imagine the plane ride would’ve been a bit difficult for him, were you allowed to get him out of his carriage during the plane ride?

I’ll have to check out some of those posts you linked to, they sound interesting. I hope you’ll have a great week!

  5. Aww, he’s so cute. I think I’m getting me another one soon. I have 2 cats, but I miss dogs. Haven’t had one since I had to put my baby down a few years ago because he kept having seizures. I think I want to get a rottweiler. My sister-in-law’s baby is so chunky and cute, and I just want one so bad.

  6. Freddy is just so adorable!! *virtual pets and scratches* My kids are off, too this week for Spring Break. Except my daughter whose college had theirs a couple weeks ago. We’ll just be hanging out and relaxing. 🙂 Enjoy your new addition and time off!

  8. I so wish I could cuddle Freddy too, Lexxie! I know y’all are enjoying having a puppy in the house! I’m kinda jealous. 😉 And I hope you enjoy having some time ‘off’. Hopefully we can chat this week! **BIG HUGS**

    • I agree, Lorna 🙂 He’s very cute and a true little rascal!
Sorry about the e-mails! I had to get rid of my old e-mail plugin, so you may have to sign up again. People were unable to unsubscribe from the one I used, and that just won’t do.
      Have a good week yourself!

    • Oh, and I almost forgot the main reason I came by in the first place – to wish you a happy belated birthday! I know I’m very late, but I still figure it’s better to be late than not say it at all. A puppy is a fantastic way to celebrate! 🙂

    • Yeah, he’s a real viking! I tried to find a Norse name (male) starting with F, but I didn’t find one that appealed to me… Freddy was my dad’s name, and it fits him perfectly! Also, it’s a lot of fun to tell Freddy to sit, or to stay just because of that 😉
