The Sunday Post #31 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week has been pretty long, it feels like, and very busy, too! At the beginning of the week, with all the rain we had, plus snow melting in the Alps, several rivers in Geneva flooded, and many bridges had to be closed. Luckily, I don’t live close to any rivers, but it was really bad how much water we had there, good thing it’s sunny again, even if the snow still continues to melt.

I also replaced one of my colleagues at the high-school where I substitute teach, so I had 13 extra hours of teaching. Which was exhausting! But it’s also good, because it means I’ll have some extra money for RT in Dallas next week 😉 And yes, I’m leaving very early tomorrow morning, so right now, I’m busy putting the finishing touches on my suitcases. While I’m at RT, I will mostly use Twitter, so if you want to see what I’m up to there, make sure to follow me.

Just because I’m a proud mom, and today is mother’s day, I also wanted to share my artistic oldest daughter. She’s been going to circus school for the past four years, and yesterday, they did a great performance. She’s also majoring in art in high-school, here’s her art page on Facebook if you’re interested.

Brandee @ Bookworm Brandee asks us What Makes Great Audio?

What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. That sounds scray with al that water and the snow melting. I’ve been on vacation once in germany when the rivers got flooded and it was a scary sight, some roads were complete blocked by the water. Glad to hear the sun is shining now. I hope you’ll have a great time at RT! I can’t wait to hear about RT once you get back and I hope you get a lot of awesome books!

    • Yeah, both my daughters go to circus school, Naomi 🙂 The boys play hockey, and the girls to circus 😉

I wish you were here, too! It was jus so much fun to hang out with Berls and Felicia yesterday, and more bloggers are arriving today. I’m squeeing when I think of seeing Brandee this afternoon!!

  5. *squee* I’ll be seeing you tomorrow! I’m putting the finishing touches on my suitcase today and I’ll be heading to the airport after I drop off the kids tomorrow morning. I can’t wait! Thanks so much for sharing that video. I’ve always wondered what kinds of things your girls learned at circus school. That was amazing and impressive. 🙂 **BIG HUGS**

    • OMG Brandee, only a fee more hours now! Our room is nice, it’s a bit far from the lobby area, but it should be pretty quiet here, I think 🙂 I slept like the dead and now I’m back to being really excited because you’ll be here soon.

Have a safe flight! *BIG HUGS*

    Twitter:

We’ve had tons of rain here actually too – though its supposed to be nice this week (yay!). We’ve also had tornados (don’t worry, should be fine this week too). Mother nature was just in bad mood this past week!

Your daughter is clearly talented – and must have some serious ab muscles! No wonder you’re proud!

Can’t wait to see you in… Roughly 4-5 hours!!!
