The Sunday Post #34 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Since I wasn’t teaching this week, I had time to catch up with some friends both for lunch and dinner, and it was really nice to see some people I haven’t seen in a while. Also, on Tuesday, it was my 20th anniversary since marrying my husband so we went out on a date 🙂 My blogoversary has come and go without me really realizing it… I think I’ll do a giveaway in July, when I have even more time to do my own stuff 🙂
Our garden is in bloom, which is awesome! We’ve had some really nice, warm and sunny days, as well as some rainy evenings so plants and flowers are growing like crazy.
On Friday, my students had their English exam, so now it’s time for me to get the grading done… it’s not all that fun, but hopefully, they’ll all have done well!

Happy anniversary! 20 years is fantastic. You had a busy week on the blog last week. Good luck with the grading, blergh.
Thank you Bea 🙂 Yeah, the grading is taking me quite some time… there are grammar questions, reading comprehension questions and an essay for each of my students.

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby. It sounds like you had an amazing week. Happy Blogoversary too. Enjoy your garden and good luck grading those papers.
Yeah, my week was good. Now, with having to grade all those exams I’m not as happy a camper as I was before I started, though. It takes ages!!

Happy Anniversary you and your husband. I wish my garden bloomed its never usually successful LOL have a great week.
Thank you, Megan 🙂 It’s actually thanks to my husband our garden looks so nice! He loves spending time making it green and lush.
Happy (belated) anniversary and how lovely that you got to catch up with some friends etc.
Hope you enjoy your break.
Deb
Catching up with friends is like a big bonus these days, Deborah!
Happy Anniversary! Sounds like you had a great week! Enjoy your garden and the week ahead.
Thank you Cindy 🙂
That’s nice you had time to catch up with your friend and go out on a date with your husband, Cognrats on your 20 year anniversary! And congrats on your blogoversary! We had some nice weather as well this week, some rain, but also lots of sun.
Grading sounds like the leats fun part of being a teacher. I hope your students did well!
Have a great week!
Yes, it was a really good week, Lola. It’s so nice that the sun is shining during the day, but we get rain and a good thunderstorm in the evening to cool things down a little bit 🙂
Grading is definitely the least fun part of teaching, but it has to be done…
Happy anniversary! And blogoversary too- they can kinda sneak by. 🙂 Glad you got to see friends- that’s always nice. Sounds like you had a good week- and fun links too.
Thank you Greg! You know all about those pesky blogoversaries sneaking up on us, right?
Sounds like you’ve been having a fun week. I miss catching up with friends. Happy Anniversary too! I missed my blogoversary this year also. It was back in February. LOL
Oh well, I guess the blogoversary isn’t as important as the fact that we are around? Thanks for stopping by, Laura.
Happy anniversary! As for those blogoversaries, with eleven blogs, I usually do forget mine these days…LOL.
How nice that you had a week to hang out with friends. Enjoy the new week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I have no idea how you keep up with all your blogs, Laurel-Rain, I’m quite happy to have only this one 😉
Wow Lexxie! Congrats to you and the hubby on 20 years! That’s quite the milestone. Me and my man will get there in about 4 years, which is kind of crazy. It doesn’t feel that long that’s for sure. Anyway, I hope that you both had a nice date 🙂 Oh and happy blogoversary as well, I totally missed mine the first year I was blogging, it happens hehe! Yay for gardens in bloom, we moved this year so I had to say goodbye to my beloved garden but hopefully I can plant a few things at the new place too. I do love gardens so much ♥ Have a wonderful week^^ x
Thank you, Micheline! Yeah, it is quite the milestone, I can’t believe we’ve actually been married for that long – even if we have kids who are old enough to show us how long we’ve been together 😉
I hope you’ll be able to plant something nice in your new garden this summer!
Happy Anniversary, me and my hub have been together for 19 years and married for 12! Hope you had a lovely date!
Thanks Heather 🙂 We did have a lovely date, it’s not all that often that just the two of us get to go out together 🙂

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! and Happy Blog-birthday! I missed mine too. It was in February and I totally forgot about it lol.
Getting a night out with friends is nice, I am due for one soon. I need adult time 🙂
Good Luck with the paper grading!
Have a great week, Lexxie! oxox
Thank you Michelle 🙂 I think it’s OK to forget about the blogoversary, right?
I hope you’ll have a nice night with friends very soon! The grading is really slow work :O I hope I’ll be able to finish tomorrow.
Happy anniversary AND blogoverary! Just give the kids A’s. lol.
LOL Christy, several of them really don’t deserve an A, so that’s a no…

Ugh. Have fun grading – easily my least favorite part of teaching lol. And happy anniversary, 20 years is fantastic 🙂 and happy blogoversary too! Hope you’re having a great week – I FINALLY wrote my RT posts this week and I’m missing y’all all over again!
I know, grading isn’t fun, and when the exams are with quite a bit of writing, it takes forever to get through each student.
I just read your RT posts, and now I’m missing you all over again, too, Berls! *hugs*
Nice to have a little space from teaching, although marking can be downright tedious, although good when the results are tops. Sounds like you are enjoying summer, enjoy your reading.
Some of the students did really well, others…. not so much. And I’ve only graded about a third so far.
Thanks for stopping by Kathryn.
Congratulations on your anniversary! 20 years is really fabulous! And happy blogoversary too 🙂 Glad you enjoyed your week off, and good luck with the grading! Hope you have a great week!
Thank you Shannon. Have a great week yourself!
Congrats on your anniversary, 20 years is awesome. It’s good to have date nights, my granddaughter has a sleepover once a week so mum and dad can have a regular date night. Becoming Rain is on my TBR mountain. Have a great week, good luck with grading and happy reading 🙂
Thanks! Now our kids are old enough to be on their own for an evening, but before, we paid good money to be able to go on dates 🙂 It must be nice for your son/daughter to have you living close enough to be able to have your granddaughter on sleepovers 🙂
Happy anniversary!! 20 years is an amazing milestone! Good luck with the paper grading, and I hope you have a lovely week!
It is nice to catch up with friends like that. Hope you get through all that grading quickly. 😉
