The Sunday Post #48 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
I had another busy week, both finishing with my sub teaching, and with preparing my next semester at Uni – we start our classes on September 16th, so I still have some time, but I like to see what books I need to feel ready when we begin.
All my guys (my husband and my two sons) have started hockey season, so this weekend has been filled with games. It’s fun to see them play, but I’m not going to see all their games this winter, if not all my weekends will be spent on the road and in different ice rinks, with no time to do anything else at all. And I need my reading time, plus some time to hang out with friends as well. And if I find a TV show I feel like bingeing on, that sure takes time, too 😀
I don’t even have any good pictures to share this week – I will try to do better next week, though.

Elsewhere in the Blogosphere:
I have a discussion crush on Cait @ Paperfury! This week, her discussion is about Unique Formatting in Books.
Aimee @ The Social Potato tells us How to Post On Time.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.
That’s a lot of hockey games, yikes! I’m with you; you need the time for school, reading, TV, and friends. And maybe an occasional game so your boys don’t feel neglected. 🙂
I’m ready for cooler temps, crisp air, and lots of fresh apples. I am, however, in no rush for winter. 😀
Yeah, the occasional game is what I need – I do love hockey, but I don’t want to actually go to see three or more games every weekend 🙂
I’m in not rush for winter either, fall is a beautiful season, and I’m happy we’re just easing into it right now.
ZOMG I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKE MY DISCUSSIONS. 😀 hehe Day = made, basically.
LOL yes, I’m in love with your discussion, Cait. I’m glad that helped making your day! Thanks for stopping by.
Your hockey-viewing idea sounds sensible – NOT going to watch all of the games… as you said, you’d never get any time to yourself!
Hope you get your reading (and prep) sorted before Uni starts again!
You’re right to keep some time for yourself, as long as you watch their games from time to time, that should do the trick 😉 The temperatures are cooler around here, but after the hawt summer we had, I’m not complaining ! Hooray for fall ! Enjoy your week-end 😉
Bingeing time is important- I’ve been doing that myself a bit lately!
Great COYER post- you rocked it this year!
It is definitely reasonable to stay home and not attend all those games….your time for friends and reading is important! Enjoy!
I love my bingeing time. This week, it’s Mad Men on Netflix.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Yah! I love the fall! It sounds like you are going to have a full plate for a while! I hope you all have a great season!
Hockey looks so much fun but I think I would be taking a little break from all of them for some me time!
Have a fab week!
I used to do the same thing … look up the books that I’d need for future semesters. Have a great week.
I have seen ice hockey on TV but that’s all. Sport can take up much of a weekend so good to hear you are carving out time for you and it sounds like you will be busy studying so you will need it. All the best for the coming semester.
Looks like we’re all getting ready for back to school time. Everybody gets busy all the sudden!!
With all three playing hockey you’d have to clone yourself to watch all of their games! LOL Not a bad idea though. Sure would make life easier wouldn’t it! Especially with all the things happening for you right now.

Sounds like you’re going to be real busy. It’s great that you do audio, that will help with the commute and stuff.
Yay! Hockey season! I hope your boys have a great time!
hockey, hockey, hockey!!!! I can’t imagine getting everyone to all the games! ALL three of them?!?!? NOW that’s a smelly car 🙁 tee, hee….
Good luck with school and hang on to your girlie time!! Wine anyone?!?
You stay so busy, Lexxie and kudos for managing to get it all done and stay sane at the same time! Hope your week is wonderful! Hugs…Ro
I´m so impressed by you; both working and studying and still finding time to read so many books 🙂 Det blir litt ujevnt både med blogging og lesing om dagen fordi jeg er ganske “full i hodet” av alt som skal læres i den nye jobben jeg har fått.
Hockey is even more time consuming than band, Lexxie. 😉 I think it’s okay for you to skip some games. They know you love them and are cheering them on in spirit. Besides, they know what they’d have to deal with if mom doesn’t get reading time, right?!? LOL They do in my house, anyway. 😉 I hope you’re having a great week. We’ll have to chat – I want to know how your Monday meeting went. **BIG HUGS**
I know what you mean when it comes to men and sports… my hubby will take on Cricket this summer, and I won’t go watch every game… It’s nice to relax at home without him! lol
Have a great week!
