Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #104
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well. This week, my hungry hearts quote is from Kristen Ashley’s Lady Luck – which somehow made it to become my favorite Colorado Mountain story! This quote is from the beginning of the story – before the true romance really starts between Lexie and Ty, but it’s still kind of a fore shadowing of what is to come!
My Hungry Hearts quote:
Their food was served. Unlike with her tuna melt, but absolutely the same as when their room service was delivered last night, she dug in. No bullshit nibbling, pretending she didn’t need food to survive. She’d ordered a Belgian waffle. And she liked what she ordered and didn’t give a fuck if he knew it. Alexa Walker was a beautiful, classy, sexy, part goof who liked her food. And Ty Walker liked all of that. Too much.
Christ, pussy had fucked his life and here he was, two days out of the joint and sitting under a fucking umbrella in the Vegas heat next to a pussy who’d had dick fuck up her life and he wanted in there so fucking badly he could almost convince himself he already tasted her on his tongue.
Jesus, he needed a shower. And not because he was eating eggs, bacon, sausage and toast in the Vegas heat […]
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
