Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #120
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
Today, my Hungry Hearts quote is from Sisters of Blood and Spirit, it’s from the beginning of the book, Wren – the ghost twin – is musing about food, and how she wishes she could eat a cookie whenever she wants to.
My Hungry Hearts quote:
Nan smiled. “That’s a good girl.” She held the plate of cookies out to Lark. “Take one for your sister, too.” Lark plucked two cookies off the cooling plate, gathered up her school books and announced that she was going to do some studying before dinner.
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.

Who can refuse freshly baked cookies?!?! Man, now I want some grrrr
Yummo! Who doesn’t love cookies! 😀
My first glance at the title of today’s post I read as, “Blood Thirsty Thursday…”
Love warm, homemade cookies…well, I like cookies in general. They move up degrees with “fresh out of the oven homemade” being the very best.
From Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, “And then on Harry’s birthday (which the Dursleys had completely ignored) he had received four superb birthday cakes, one each from Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and Sirius. Harry still had two of them left, and so, looking forward to a real breakfast when he got back upstairs, he ate his grapefruit without complaint.”
I would love for someone to bake me some cookies. Sounds wonderful!
