Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #136
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
This week’s Thirsty Thursday quote is from Rules of Magic by Alice Hofmann.
Thirsty Thursday Quote:
Franny found Vincent in the Jester on Christopher Street. he was drinking absinthe and lemon juice, a sugar cube tucked into his cheek. “Hey Franny,” he said when he caught sight of her. “Fancy meeting you here.” Two attractive girls from NYU sat in the booth with him, the prettier one slouched in the hollow of his arm. The girls seemed annoyed to see Franny and sent looks of frustration Vincent’s way. As if he cared about them. Franny didn’t know why he bothered. Was it to prove something to her or to himself?
“Let’s go,” Franny said with a nod. Vincent could tell from her tone that she was deadly serious. “We’re moving.” “What?”

as long as he doesn’t mind sharing it
I’ve never had absinthe, so idk about that lol, but something about this quote has me really intrigued about the book??? The writing and characters sound really good.
There was a lot of intriguing things in this book, Kristen. The characters were really good, and I was totally inside the story with them from the beginning.
