For once, I actually have a quote that is a Thirsty Thursday quote – there are different drinks mentioned, and it’s from one of my recent contemporary romance reads that I loved! Swear on This Life by Renée Carlino was a beautiful story of second chances, and it was so beautifully written, too.
My Thirsty Thursday Quote
“You still reading that book?” Cara asked as she walked by me while I folded laundry on the couch.
“Yeah,” I said, and then followed her into the kitchen. I sat down at the bar while she took out ingredients for a smoothie. It was noon, and I knew she had a class to teach in an hour.
“You haven’t really been eating, Emi.”
“No, I have been. I’m fine. Hey, do you want to make Bloody Mary’s instead?” I asked.
She laughed. “Are you becoming an alcoholic?”

Yum, smoothies! The only place I’ve been a “regular” at was a smoothie place by my house when I was in college lol because a smoothie was the only way I could wake up and function when I had to get up early for school. Never had a bloody mary, although I’ve noticed they have the strangest garnishes 😛
Aw, I loved this one. I think they had a really good friendship as well – Emi and Cara.
I loved that story! And that part was funny… she wanted to get so drunk! I personally think Bloody Marys in the morning are perfect!!! YUMMY. Smoothies are meals, but a Bloody Mary is an appetizer 🙂
