Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
This week, my hungry hearts quote is from Michelle Mankin’s upcoming release Tempting Tempo – the newest installment in her rockstar romance series. I just love Sager – he’s the tenderhearted guy – hiding behind his tough exterior.
After our straight talk about expectations, our dinner at Rim Rock had been the hopelessly romantic gesture I’m sure had planned it to be. No guy had ever gone to such trouble for me. A white tablecloth. A red rose on the center of the table. The warm glow of the embers from our location beside a rustic river rock fireplaces. Raw oysters. Salads. Perfectly broiled halibut. Chocolate mousse and a shot of Jameson to share, sharp to balance out the sweetness. I took a small bite of everything and enjoyed each one, but as always it gave me more pleasure to watch Sager eat. The flickering candlelight reflected the gold in his hypnotic eyes as we conversed between courses.
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
That meal and setting would have me in the romantic mood, too. 🙂
I am suddenly ready for winter with this quote, too! Fireside when it’s snowing outside 🙂
How romantic! She sounds like a lucky woman! Except I’d prefer a steak 😉
I love both steak and fish, so I’d be happy with this one, Kristen!
This one sounds so good. Who doesn’t love a little sweet romance. =D Great choice.
That scene was just so awesome 🙂 The romance, the food – all very yummy!
Yum, everything sounds wonderful! Topped off by that Chocolate mousse and the shot of Jameson. Perfection! Thanks for sharing.
I know, right? I really want chocolate mousse and a shot of Jameson 🙂

How romantic! Although I think i’ll be devouring the oysters like there’s no tomorrow. Totally ungraceful hahaha!
I would, too, Braine! I would never be as dainty as Melinda was 😀
Oooh nice romantic evening here! I have to say I’m not really interested in the food up for offer though, but it makes me want a cozy meal.
The atmosphere was just as important as the actual meal here, Lauren! I would go for the food, too, but yeah, the cozy place, the company, the fire *sighs* it was awesome!

Sounds wonderful, except the sharing of the shot. Nope, mine. He can get his own Jameson shot..
