Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Authors Who Deserve More Recognition
This week on Top Ten Tuesday we are discussing authors who have not yet reached a level of recognition we think they deserve. Just in case you want to check out one one the authors I believe deserve more recognition, I have linked to their Goodreads profile, and to one of their books.
Top Ten Tuesdays is a fun meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where we share our excitement for books, and I really like how this meme makes me think about the books I read, why I read them, and who to recommend my favorite reads to. So, here we go :
As usual, my list is in no particular order :
Donna Cummings – she writes both contemporary and historical romances, sometimes with a thriller-like or very mysterious twist. I first became aware of Donna and her books when I got a review-copy of I Do… Or Die for Risqué Reviews last year. I loved that book so much I have read all Donna’s books that I’ve been able to get my hands on ever since.
Thomas A. Knight – high fantasy / paranormal is the genre, and both the Time Weaver and Legacy were books I really enjoyed. The MC in this series is a man, and he can time-travel, along with other cool powers.
Katie Hayoz – so far she has one published book – Untethered. But what a book! It’s a paranormal YA, and I’m sure you have not read anything like Sylvie and what she can do before.
Dannika Dark – I love her Mageri series, and I know she is starting to get some recognition, but she still deserves a place on my list today. Not only do I think she is a very good writer, she is awesome enough to do her own cover-art as well!
Suzanne McLeod – I haven’t really seen enough love of her Spellcrackers.com series! It is set in London, Genevieve is part fairy, has clunky magic but still manages to work pretty well. There are lots of supernatural characters involved, and I can see London in my head when I’m on an adventure with Genevieve.
Jenna MacLaine has written a series of four books about Cin Craven, and I love this series. Unfortunately, it seems as if her publisher may not agree to publish more books in the series, and that makes me very sad!
I can’t really think of more than these – but I’m sure I will remember others who deserve a place on this Top Ten as soon as I start browsing other blogs!
Have a terrific Tuesday, thanks for stopping by,
They are all authors that I haven’t heard of before! I might have to check them out! Especially the Paranormal authors!!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
I’m glad I could help you discover some new authors, Naomi. That’s exciting in a way, and if pick up any of these books, I hope you’ll enjoy them!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a terrific Tuesday.
I’ve heard of Katie’s book, but not the others! Definitely going to be checking them out! (Because let’s face it: I always need to keep adding to my TBR! Haha!)
My TTT
LOL, those TBR lists are just not good! Mine keeps growing every single day, so I have to admit I’m kind of happy I can ‘help’ someone else get their TBR growing as well 😉
Thanks for stopping by Jessica!
I don’t recognize any of these. I’ll have to check them out. New books for the TBR list. 😀 Great list!

I have only heard of one of them because I remember a recent review you did…lol. 🙂
Isn’t that just amazing, though, Stormi? I’ve been to other blogs today, and seen lists of authors I have never heard of before either… I had no idea there were so many!
Thanks for stopping by.

I don’t know most of these authors..I am interested in the historical romances with mystery!
Then you should check out Lord Midnight by Donna Cummings 🙂 it’s a lot of fun, mysterious and well written.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I don’t think I have read any of these authors. I will definitely check them out. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Chelsea 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy these authors’ books as much as I have!
Well, I know of Dannika Dark and Katie Hayoz because of your blog, but I haven’t heard of the others on your list. Good thing they have you to show them some <3 and share them with us! 🙂 You know I'll be sure to check them out. Thanks, Lexxie.
I’m glad I could share these authors. It’s amazing to me that there are still so many I haven’t heard much of before – but there it is 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Brandee!
What a great top 10 idea to discover/share new authors. I haven’t heard of any of the ones you featured. My favorite author is still Diane Chamberlain so I talk about her books a lot on my blog just to help get the word out. Other than hers, I don’t really read more than one novel by an author 🙂 Guess I hop around and try new series, authors and genres too much.
I agree that blogging is a great way for us to share our love for authors who aren’t very well known yet! I need to check out Diane Chamberlain, as she is new to me.
Thanks for stopping by Tanya 🙂
I wish I’d thought to put Suzanne Mcleod on my list…I love her books
Cait x
I love Suzanne McLeod! I can’t wait for the next Spellcrackers.com book to be released 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Cait.
Great List! I actually haven’t heard of any of those authors, so thanks for bringing them to my attention.
I hope you’ll enjoy their books as much as I did, Krystianna!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Thank you for the suggestions!
🙂 thanks for stopping by Lyn!
I added Untethered to my to-read list, but they all sound fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing 😀 Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven.
Untethered is awesome! And it’s really nice every now and then to read a stand-alone. I hope you’ll enjoy it, too, Jaclyn.
Thanks for stopping by.
I haven’t heard of any of these authors! I have a list about a mile long now, because of this week’s topic, haha.
My Top Ten post 🙂
LOL, me too, Chiara! I was amazed that there are so many I haven’t heard of before.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m totally checking out this authors 😀
I hope you’ll enjoy them – I think they’re all pretty awesome 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Joana.
Yay, you’ve given me quite a few new authors to check out 😀 but Thomas A.Knight was already on my radar, for his Time Weaver series – that sounds RIGHT up my alley!! I’ll have to look into his Legacy series though, not sure if that one’s on the TBR shelf yet or not >.< Thanks girl!
Legacy is the second book in the Time Weaver series, and it’s truly awesome! If you check out some of the others, I hope you’ll enjoy them, too!
Wow, I’ve never heard of any of these authors before! Will definitely check out their books. Lovely list! 😀
Thanks for dropping by my TTT post! 😀
I haven’t heard of any of these authors! I am ashamed! I guess I will have to look them up, won’t I?
