Top Ten Tuesday : Top Ten Book Crushes

This week on Top Ten Tuesday, we share the Top Ten characters we would have a crush on if we were a character as well. Top Ten Tuesdays is a fun meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where we share our excitement for books, and I really like how this meme makes me think about the books I read, why I read them, and who to recommend my favorite reads to. So, here we go :

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Character Crushes

Yum – this is a really good question, and there are several characters I secretly (or not so secretly as it is) crush on πŸ™‚ Here they are in no particular order:

1) Bones from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series. He is a yummy English vampire, who is totally and completely in love with the heroine Cat. I love a man who is loyal, and who believes in his partner even when things seem bleak.

2) Will, the main male character in Slammed and Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover. He is sensible, responsible and very romantic – who doesn’t love a guy who writes his own poetry with a bang?

3) I can’t help but crush on Terrible in Stacia Kane’s Downside Ghosts series as well. He is not the kind of hero I usually fall for, he is a thug, with lots of scars, and he’s scary. But he’s so loyal, and he is lovely in the way he treats his love! And underneath the scars and the violent ways of this man, there is a true heart of gold.

4) Adam in Gayle Forman’s If I Stay and Where She Went is a wonderful character as well. A tortured musician who does all he can to save the love of his life, even when it’s in detriment of his own happiness.

5) And of course, I have to add my favorite Highlander, Jamie Fraser from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series! There are times when his actions don’t please me – but at the same time, he’s really not from the 21st century, so his ways are not the ones we’re used to.

6) The angel Raphael in The Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh is totally my kind of guy – he can be both bad and good, hot and cold, and there are so many things he doesn’t understand about humanity.

7) I can’t make a list with my crushes without including Eric Northman from the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Even before I ever watched True Blood, I had this image in my head of how Eric looked – needless to say Alexander Skarsgard is very close to that image, and just thinking of him makes me swoon!

8) I have a crush on Logan from Dannika Dark’s Mageri series as well, he’s a different kind of shape-shifter, and I love how he’s trying his best to behave himself when he’s surrounded by (mostly) humans!

9) Dimitri from the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead is the strong, forbidding, silent type, but I just love him!

10) Last but not least, I have to tell you about Louis-Cesare in Karen Chance’s Dorina Basarb series. He’s a French vampire, he knows how to fight with a sword, and he’s extremely patient and romantic!

What about you? Who are your top ten character crushes? Do share πŸ™‚ Inquiring minds want to know!

Have a wonderful week filled with great reads, and more crushes!

    • Oh my, haven’t I been able to make you read this already? LOL. Even the spin-off series makes me swoon – I love the way Jeaniene Frost writes romance, vampires and bad-ass fights!

  1. Wow, I don’t know any of those series except for your number one slot and I just recently read the first book in the Night Huntress series and so I understand the Bones crush. πŸ™‚ I know, I know you are probably thinking what took me so long to read one of those books…LOL. πŸ™‚

    Happy Reading!

    • Well, at least you’ve started… I’m still holding off on HP, so I really can’t complain about you starting the Night Huntress series just now. I’m happy to hear you liked it, and that you understand my Bones crush πŸ™‚

  3. Great list, some of these crushes I think I need to familiarize myself with.

Eric Northman on all 10 for me πŸ˜€ Well, almost at least. Captain Wentworth from Persuasion by Jane Austen and Tucker from Unearthly by Cynthia Hand can be added to my list as well.

  4. Every time we chat about book crushes, I inwardly (and sometimes audibly) groan at the size of my to-read shelf and the fact that there are so many swoon worthy boys/men I haven’t met yet. Sigh.

Bones and Dimitri, I will meet you both soon. *shakes fist…then winks at both*

LOL, thanks for sharing Lexxie πŸ™‚

    • LOL, I agree! I wish there were more hours to ever day, so I could meet more male characters to crush on. *sighs* now, I almost wanna re-read both the first Night Huntress book and the first VA book! Just to get to know Bones and Dimitri all over again πŸ˜€
