Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place to showcase a book we’re really looking forward to with bated breath! A new release in our favorite series, an exciting new title from a favorite author…
Waiting on Wednesday #70
If you’ve been around here before, you know I’m a huge Sawyer Bennett fan, and her Cold Fury Hockey series is just my kind of sports-romance. So, today, I’m waiting on Hawke, the fifth book in this amazing series. Hawke is scheduled for release on March 15th 2016. I love that we actually have a face on the cover, those eyes *sighs*
Off the ice, elite defenseman Hawke Therrien enjoys his fair share of booze and good times. And why shouldn’t he? He’s worked his way up from the minor leagues and made himself a star. The only thing Hawke misses from that life is the pierced, tattooed free spirit who broke his heart without so much as an explanation. She’s almost unrecognizable when she walks back into his life seven years later—except for the look in her eyes that feels like a punch to the gut.
Vale Campbell isn’t the same girl she was at twenty. As crazy as she was about Hawke, her reckless behavior and out-of-control drinking were starting to scare her. She had to clean up her act, and that would never happen with Hawke around. Cutting him loose was the hardest thing Vale ever had to do—until now. Because she’s still crazy about Hawke. And if he could ever learn to forgive her, they just might have a future together.
Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.
I love this series! Thanks for posting! I didn’t know the cover was out. I can’t wait for this book, but I hope we see more of the other guys as secondary characters. Alex and Garrett weren’t in very many scenes as I would have liked in Ryker.
Oh, yes, Alex needs to get a little more ‘screen-time’ 😀 Thanks for stopping by, Tiffany!
Bennett’s always a good choice!
I agree, Jennifer, she always makes me a happy reader 😀
Ooh this sounds really good. I haven’t read any of these, but I might have to check them out. Hockey is one sport I really enjoy. 🙂
Oh then you’ll really enjoy this series, Lauren – there is a lot going on!
oh I like Sawyer Bennett quite a bit as well. Her books always surprise me in how much I love them in the end.
I’m the same way, and since I have a weak spot for hockey players (my husband was a pro-player when we met) I love her hockey romances 🙂
I Love sports romance books like from S.E.P but i haven’t really read this series before. 🙂 but hope you get your hands on this soon.
my waiting on wednesday
This series is golden, Christine!
I’m actually usually not one for faces on the cover because they ruin it for me, but holy smokes, that is a beautiful man,
Yup, definitely very beautiful, Christy! And often with sports romances, there is just a chest or a back… here, we get more than that, and I’m loving it!
This is such a great series! I’m dying to get my hands on Hawke too 🙂
WooHoo Danielle! I hope we’ll both be able to get our hands on Hawke (*grins*) very soon 😉
Nice! Totally new to me read. Doesn’t sound like my kind of read but hope you absolutely love it once you read it!
Here’s my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It’s exactly my kind of read, Jessica, and I can’t wait!
Oooh I love hockey players and I agree, the eyes of the guy on the cover are amazing! ♥
Yup, Stephanie, this series is so, so good, too!
Yet another series that I *need* to start. Maybe if I get caught up in this series by March we can buddy read Hawke?!? I love the name. And I completely agree with you about those eyes. *sigh*
Happy Wednesday, Lexxie! **BIG HUGS**
LOL, yeah, if you catch up, and if I don’t get my hands on an ARC, that would be perfect, Brandee. *BIG HUGS*
I guess I need to check out this author! Hawk sounds like the kind of character I’d enjoy. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I love Bennett’s stories, Laurel-Rain 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
Ooh seems like such an exciting and sexy story. Need to start this series soon. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thanks, Christina, I’m pretty sure I will.
I’m not usually a cover whore, but oh…my…that one is just…*drools*
I know, right? That’s why had just had to *sigh* 😀

I like a beard, too, Bea 😉
Great pick- hope you get a chance to read it soon.
