STS #167 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #117
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:
Thank you, AW Teen, GP Putnam Sons and Edelweiss!
Thank you JA Huss!
Also got my last The Bookworm Box of the year – isn’t it lovely?
Thank you so much, my dear blogger wife! Brandee has given me so many amazing books for Christmas!
I won this last week in Colleen Hoover’s CoHorts, the Facebook group 🙂 Thank you, Mariya!!

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Dang…I’m tired just looking at all that you’ve done and gotten and all that this week! *lol* WTG!
I feel like I didn’t do much at all, LuAnn 😀 Thanks for stopping by!!
Love those shelves- awesome! Glad you had a great Christmas! It’s been a quiet week here too, and I’ll take ’em. Looks like you have a cozy little nook there. 🙂
Have a great New Years!
Thanks, Greg! I’m so glad we managed to install the shelves during the break, it’s so nice to have a little corner that’s all mine 😀
Oh, yes, Brandee came through for you with her gifts.
Neat cozy reading corner and shelves. Haha, Freddy does love your things.
Happy New Year, Lexxie!
Brandee is the best wife a blogger can wish for!! Freddy makes me laugh so hard – even on computer cables and books, he’s OK to sleep *sighs*
You’ve had a very nice holiday week, wifey! And that’s wonderful Congrats on the book haul and I particularly enjoy the pics of Freddy “in action” when he’s really “in-action” or rather “inactive”. *bwahaha* Enjoy your weekend and hopefully we can find a few moments to chat a bit. 🙂
LOVE & BIG HUGS!!!! *smooches*
LOL This week’s Freddy in inaction? that could definitely be a thing… It’s been gray outside, so I didn’t get any nice outside pics… and inside, he spends a lot of time taking naps 😀
Looks like some pretty good reading stuff for you ?
Yes, nice books to read, and to put on my shelves, and to admire, and to use for fun instagram photos 😀
Hahaha my dog always sleeps on my stuff too. But at least Freddy is in good company with Edgar Allan Poe!
Happy New Year! ♥
He always makes me laugh when he’s like that, Stephanie 🙂 Happy New Year!
I’m so jealous for your reading corner! I have no space anywhere for a chair to read in at the moment while the house is in utter chaos-THAT needs to be fixed next year! How does Freddy manage to make ordinary things look so cute?!! I hope you all have a relaxing and peaceful new year!
We changed the couch around a bit, and changed the shelves, too, and now, we actually have much more space! The whole living room looks bigger, too 🙂
I hope you’ll be able to find yourself a reading corner with a comfy chair this year, Chuckles 🙂
Oh my gosh, I’m so jealous of your new reading nook! The new shelves look great! I would love to have a little area like that in my house but I think this house is too small. lol! Hope you have a Happy New Year!
Those shelves take up less space than my old ones, which is how I had room for the chair 🙂 I’m very happy we managed this, though, it’s so nice to be surrounded by books while I read!
OOoh very nice!! I love Nalini’s Guild Hunter series! Though I admit I am vastly behind in it! It’s been a few years since I last read one! Eek! Hate when that happens! Hope you enjoy all your lovely new reads!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
The Guild Hunter series is so good, and it just keeps getting better, Jessica! You really should try to catch up 😉 Thanks for stopping by!
oh yay for getting some Nalini Singh and Kristen Ashley books!!! Great looking books to put on your shelves.
I agree! I love both authors 😀 I need to get some KA books signed in May, she’s going to be at RT, and I can’t wait to fangirl over her 😀
Wow, so much happening! That Bookworm Box is so neat. I want to do a monthly subscription box, but I can’t at the moment. Perhaps after I graduate and get a job. 😀 I haven’t read any of Nalini Singh’s books, but she is on my list! Same with Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Jennifer Ashley… hehe. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Lexxie!
Happy New Year. =)
Check out my STS post!
I had another subscription box, too, but I’ve cancelled it. The Bookworm Box, though, is awesome, as the proceeds go to charity!
LOL, there are SO many great authors out there 🙂 I hope you’ll find the time to be awed by Singh, Andrews, Briggs and the others in 2017 😉
That reading corner looks amazing. I hope you love all of your new books. Freddie looks like he gets exchausted easily. Great haul of books.
Grace @ Books of Love
I love my reading corner, Grace 🙂 It’s heaven to sit surrounded by books while reading 😀 Freddy is very active, and then, he takes a nap fairly often, too… He loves running in the garden, playing catch or roughing it with the kids… and after his little body needs rest 😀
Oh, I absolutely LOVE your reading corner…and all of your new books look very tempting. Thanks for sharing…and enjoy your time reading in that cozy space.
Kudos to Freddie, as he finds the perfect spot to nap.
Happy New Year!
I think I’m never going to leave that corner again, Laurel-Rain 😀
UGH. I LOVE your bookcases! I see you’ve filled them up! *sigh* I need some.
Yeah, I’ve filled them up some… I need to be careful so they won’t overflow too quickly 😀
I am in love with your reading corner! Freddy is adorable as always 🙂 You picked up some great books this week as well. Happy New Year!
I love it, too, Carole 😀 Happy New Year!
So many lovely new books! I too spent the week reading and relaxing. It was splendid indeed. My dog also sleeps on my stuff. LOL Freddy looks so sweet:) Happy New Year!
It’s nice that you’ve had quiet reading time this week, too, Laura. I love being a bit lazy and just hanging out at home when that’s possible 🙂

why? Why? WHY??? I haven’t read Nanili yet??? IT’S ABOUT ANGELS FOR GOD SAKE!!! I love books about angels!!! oh I want a corner just like yours! and I want a blogger wife too! where did you get Brandee? 🙂 Freddy is simply adorable. 🙂 and has such a good taste! Nothing better than Poe! Happy new year LX!
LOL your comment about the blogger wife made me laugh out loud! So funny! Maybe I should start a web-site for blogger wives? 😀 Brandee and I met on our respective blogs a long time ago, and we had so much in common it was really eerie! And we’ve been lucky enough to meet in real life twice so far, even if we live across the Atlantic from one another 😀
If you enjoy angels, and romance with a lot of action, The Guild Hunter series is really one you should pick up! I love her writing, and those angels are pretty naughty at times 😉
Your new bookshelves look amazing and look at all that open shelf space that you still fill with books. I really need a shelf soon as I had to stash some books in front of others. Glad to hear you had a relaxing week. And it looks like you got a lot of great books this week! I’ve heard some good things about those Kristen Ashley books.
The Freddy pictures are cute, as always. Although pets do seem to pick the strangest spots to sleep sometimes. Have a great week!
Thank you, Lola! I love the shelves, too. And I’m very excited about the fact that I have room for more books this year 😀 I have already read three of the Kristen Ashley books, that’s how good they are!
Love the reading corner!! The bookshelves look great. Enjoy all your new books and have a happy New Year!
Thank you, Samantha! You, too!

Love the book corner! I was just telling my husband I need a big bookshelf in our house because mine can’t fit anymore books. (GASP)
Looking forward to seeing what you thing of The Air he breathes, I keep seeing that one around and am very curious. I trust your opinion.
Dexter is a weird sleeper but Buttons is the queen of find that spot that makes no sense and can’t be comfortable. Usually it’s right on all my stuff while I am working.
Have a great week, Lexxie! Happy New Year and Happy Reading! Miss you! ox
LOL, I was so surprised when Mr. Lex agreed to new shelves straight away 🙂 And I love how it looks now, too. I’ve seen The Air He Breathes around a lot, too, and look forward to reading it 🙂
Have a great week yourself xoxoxox
Happy New Year!! You got so many amazing books this week! I hope you love all of them when you get a chance to read them! And I LOVE your new shelves! Definite goals. Have a great week!

Ooooh, your reading corner looks lovely! Happy new year!
I agree, Nikki, I love it 🙂 Happy New Year!
I love your shelves and reading space! I really wish I had room in my house but for now my books are in clear plastic bins. So at least I can see the titles when I’m looking for something lol. Freddie is so adorable. Happy New Year Lexxie!!
I hope you’ll get the space for a little reading corner as well, Kathy, it’s SO nice! And it’s in the living-room, so I’m still with my family while they watch TV 😀 Happy New Year!
