We had a really nice and quiet Christmas, and the whole week has been mellow with lots of time for reading, going on walks and hanging out 🙂 I got my new bookshelves, and I’m SO happy with them! I have a reading corner installed in the living-room, and it’s the best ever!

This Week’s Freddy in Action:
Not sure why he always has to sleep on my stuff, but there we go 😀
Nap in a ray of sunshine 🙂

  1. Love those shelves- awesome! Glad you had a great Christmas! It’s been a quiet week here too, and I’ll take ’em. Looks like you have a cozy little nook there. 🙂

    Have a great New Years!

  2. Oh, yes, Brandee came through for you with her gifts.

Neat cozy reading corner and shelves. Haha, Freddy does love your things.

    Happy New Year, Lexxie!

  3. You’ve had a very nice holiday week, wifey! And that’s wonderful Congrats on the book haul and I particularly enjoy the pics of Freddy “in action” when he’s really “in-action” or rather “inactive”. *bwahaha* Enjoy your weekend and hopefully we can find a few moments to chat a bit. 🙂
    LOVE & BIG HUGS!!!! *smooches*

  4. I’m so jealous for your reading corner! I have no space anywhere for a chair to read in at the moment while the house is in utter chaos-THAT needs to be fixed next year! How does Freddy manage to make ordinary things look so cute?!! I hope you all have a relaxing and peaceful new year!

    • We changed the couch around a bit, and changed the shelves, too, and now, we actually have much more space! The whole living room looks bigger, too 🙂
I hope you’ll be able to find yourself a reading corner with a comfy chair this year, Chuckles 🙂

  5. OOoh very nice!! I love Nalini’s Guild Hunter series! Though I admit I am vastly behind in it! It’s been a few years since I last read one! Eek! Hate when that happens! Hope you enjoy all your lovely new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  6. Wow, so much happening! That Bookworm Box is so neat. I want to do a monthly subscription box, but I can’t at the moment. Perhaps after I graduate and get a job. 😀 I haven’t read any of Nalini Singh’s books, but she is on my list! Same with Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Jennifer Ashley… hehe. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Lexxie!

    Happy New Year. =)

    Check out my STS post!

    • I had another subscription box, too, but I’ve cancelled it. The Bookworm Box, though, is awesome, as the proceeds go to charity!
LOL, there are SO many great authors out there 🙂 I hope you’ll find the time to be awed by Singh, Andrews, Briggs and the others in 2017 😉

  7. That reading corner looks amazing. I hope you love all of your new books. Freddie looks like he gets exchausted easily. Great haul of books.

    Grace @ Books of Love

    • I love my reading corner, Grace 🙂 It’s heaven to sit surrounded by books while reading 😀 Freddy is very active, and then, he takes a nap fairly often, too… He loves running in the garden, playing catch or roughing it with the kids… and after his little body needs rest 😀

  8. Oh, I absolutely LOVE your reading corner…and all of your new books look very tempting. Thanks for sharing…and enjoy your time reading in that cozy space.

Kudos to Freddie, as he finds the perfect spot to nap.

    Happy New Year!

    • LOL your comment about the blogger wife made me laugh out loud! So funny! Maybe I should start a web-site for blogger wives? 😀 Brandee and I met on our respective blogs a long time ago, and we had so much in common it was really eerie! And we’ve been lucky enough to meet in real life twice so far, even if we live across the Atlantic from one another 😀
If you enjoy angels, and romance with a lot of action, The Guild Hunter series is really one you should pick up! I love her writing, and those angels are pretty naughty at times 😉

  9. Your new bookshelves look amazing and look at all that open shelf space that you still fill with books. I really need a shelf soon as I had to stash some books in front of others. Glad to hear you had a relaxing week. And it looks like you got a lot of great books this week! I’ve heard some good things about those Kristen Ashley books.
The Freddy pictures are cute, as always. Although pets do seem to pick the strangest spots to sleep sometimes. Have a great week!

  10. Love the book corner! I was just telling my husband I need a big bookshelf in our house because mine can’t fit anymore books. (GASP)
Looking forward to seeing what you thing of The Air he breathes, I keep seeing that one around and am very curious. I trust your opinion.
Dexter is a weird sleeper but Buttons is the queen of find that spot that makes no sense and can’t be comfortable. Usually it’s right on all my stuff while I am working.

Have a great week, Lexxie! Happy New Year and Happy Reading! Miss you! ox

    • LOL, I was so surprised when Mr. Lex agreed to new shelves straight away 🙂 And I love how it looks now, too. I’ve seen The Air He Breathes around a lot, too, and look forward to reading it 🙂
Have a great week yourself xoxoxox

  11. I love your shelves and reading space! I really wish I had room in my house but for now my books are in clear plastic bins. So at least I can see the titles when I’m looking for something lol. Freddie is so adorable. Happy New Year Lexxie!!
