Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #174

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #124 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

On Monday morning, on the way to work, I fell with the scooter… Luckily, there was more fear than harm done, but I had several  bumps and blue marks on Tuesday. And I hurt almost all over the day after, too – as if I’d done too much sports after several months of doing nothing. I’m dong well, so no need to worry about me!

For a week starting today, #3 #4 Freddy and I will be in Norway with my family, as we have a week off. And Freddy will finally meet his dad! I just really hope they will get along fine, and that they’ll have fun together. The kids, especially, are so excited about the two dogs spending a week together.

ETA: I was sure I had done my Freddy in action, but apparently that isn’t so, so here we go.

He looked down just as I took the photo, but he is still really cute IMO 😉

  1. Whew! Glad the scooter accident wasn’t more serious and glad you’re recovering.

Sounds like a fun trip to see the family. Haha, Freddy and his daddy. Hope its peaceful.

Nice haul. I love getting the paper copies of my favorite authors, too.

    Enjoy your week off, Lexxie!

  2. Auch, glad the accident wasn’t serious. Don’t worry about adding more trees to your library…I’ve murdered a whole rainforest with my collection…! Enjoy your trip to Norway!

    • I agree, Sawyer Bennett is awesome! I’ve already read Roman, and I really look forward to a revisit by listening to it.
I love Lori Foster’s Ultimate series, that’s the one I started with. The books can be read out of order, but there are characters who are common to all the books in the series. I think Ultimate is a spin-off of her Love Undercover series, which is awesome, too… If you want to start with something recent where you have a lot of books to read, maybe start with the Love Undercover, then go on to the Ultimate series, and then the Body Armor series that she just started – the 2nd book is being released in March 🙂

      • Thank you for the recommendation! I have heard of Love Undercover I am gonna check it out on goodreads. Even though you can read these books as standalones with different couples, the OCD me won’t allow me to read in between. I dunno I can never start a series in between for some reason. I will be sure to add Love Undercover and Ultimate books on my tbr list and check them out. Thanks again!

  3. The scooter accident does sound scary…and usually we hurt more the next day, don’t we?

I love Freddy on the piano keys…

I am envious of the Norway trip….my maternal grandparents came from Sweden, so I’ve always wanted to visit the Scandinavian countries. Enjoy! I hope Freddy loves his family reunion.

Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • He was so cute on the piano, I just had to take a pci – one of my children filmed him as well, the sound bites aren’t all that good, though 😉
You should try to aim for a trip to Scandinavia one day, Laurel-Rain, it’s so beautiful here!

  4. Oh, sorry to hear about your scooter accident, but am intrigued re what sort of scooter… like the kind you ride on with one leg? I knew someone in Sweden who used something similar… or did you mean a buggy?

    Cultural differences I guess!

  5. I also added some books to my dead tree library this week, haha. It’s still tiny, but it’s growing ever so slowly!

Oh no, sorry to hear about the scooter accident, but I’m glad you’re alright. And aww, Freddy’s gonna meet his dad? That sounds like it’s gonna be adorable. Get some photos of both of them together for us 😉

  6. Glad to hear your scooter spill wasn’t more serious and not surprised you have felt sore and stiff all over. Taking arnica really helps loosen you back up again, if you are still suffering. Loving the pic of Freddy’s musical debut and hope you all have a wonderful time in Norway.

  7. So glad you’re ok after that accident! That must have been scary.
I’d have to agree with you, Freddy is adorable.
My week was a rough work week, but I’ve been doing my best to relax this weekend. I’m trying to recharge my batteries before going back to the grind on Monday. I went to a used book sale on Saturday and bough way too many books. My bookshelves are so full they might just collapse at this point LOL

  8. Sorry to hear about your fall. Glad the injuries weren’t any worse and hope you are recovering nicely. Sting was a good read for me.

  9. *sigh* You picked up some great looking books, Lexxie. I’m envious of Roman in particular but mostly because you’re so far into that series and I’m not. Hmph! lol I hope you’re having a wonderful time visiting your family and Freddy enjoys meeting his daddy. And I also hope you ENJOY all your new books!!
    Love & {{{BIG HUGS}}}
