Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #183

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #133 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We’re in Spain! And it’s heavenly. It’s nice not to have to go to work. And it’s even nicer to smell the sea and be close to the beach once more. It’s also nice to be with my daughters and Freddy and just hang out and relax together – even if I spend three hours every day writing for my thesis. Freddy loves the beach as usual, and he goes crazy in the water! I have uploaded a small video of him swimming in the Mediterranean on Friday 😀

  1. I think that book pile should keep you busy for a while! Love that video of Freddy in the Med! He really was keen to get to the water…cute! Thanks for sharing that with us. I’d love to be relaxing in that water…can’t remember the last time I went swimming! Enjoy your break!

  2. Awesome looking haul like always! And oh my god that video of Freddy in the water is absolutely adorable! My own dog is scared of water so she would never go in it like that. xD

  3. That is so cool that you’re in Spain! I feel like you’re always traveling, and to the best places. 😀 So many new books this week! I thought “Lauren Dane” was “Lauren Layne” and jeez, they are nearly the same author, even done to the genre and age level. LOL. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a wonderful weekend, Lexxie. =)

    Check out my STS post!

    • It’s true that I’m lucky enough to travel quite often, Alyssa Susanna. And since we have an apartment in Spain, it’s a place where we go very frequently 🙂
Haha, I haven’t actually heard of Lauren Layne… maybe I should check her out?

  4. Gorgeous photos of Spain! I’ve never been anywhere in Europe, but my eldest son has been living there since the 1990s…and occasionally vacations in Spain. He and his wife enjoyed their honeymoon there, back in 2013. My lucky daughter and her husband will have their honeymoon in Prague, in June.

Enjoy your haul…I’m curious about Strings.

  5. Freddy is such a brave little dog! So glad you are enjoying your time off and away – and in SPAIN! 🙂

Happy reading and have a fantastic Easter!

  6. You are so well organised with books you’ve received! I’ve just made a note in my diary and will follow your example somewhere this week…

    Hope you enjoy Spain!

  7. Glad you’re enjoying your break in Spain, Lexxie. The film of Freddie is delightful – though I can imagine his love of water can be something of a problem – we used to have a lab who flung himself in water whenever he could which created some havoc at times. What a lovely haul of books – and I’m interested to see how much you are enjoying the Julie Kagawa series. Hope the rest of your Spanish break is a good one and you get plenty of writing done. 8. Spain sounds wonderful! It is on my list of places to visit someday. Glad you are having a good time. Cute pictures and video of Freddy. Looks like he is having a blast as well. Best of luck with your thesis!

  9. When i saw that clip of Freddy in the water on IG I was so tickled! He is so cute!
Wow-that is a seriously awesome book haul! Enjoy. Good luck on your thesis! Hopefully this break from work will allow you to make progress. Plus, who would be more relaxed when you are by the sea? I know I would be!
    Have a great week!

  10. Ooh, so jealous about the vacation 🙂 I could use one right now. Must admit, this has been another tough week, but hey, at least I managed to post following my plan!
Congrats on winning the giveaway 🙂

  11. Spain sounds and looks lovely, and Freddy is so cute! You got a lot of books this week; I hope you get plenty of time to read them! Good luck with your thesis, and enjoy the rest of your vacation!

  12. How do you handle getting so many ARCs every week?? I would be so stressed out, haha.

Spain sounds lovely! And it sounds like you’re having a wonderful time. Freddy looks so excited to be at the beach in that video! So cute! Have a great week 🙂

  13. The video of Freddy in the sea is adorable! And it led me to another video you did – a TT&HH quote from Mr. Romantic…I had no idea you posted on youtube. Are you still doing it?? Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying you time in Spain, darling. I’m particularly jealous of On Point, Taken, and Sex in the Sticks but you got LOADS of great looking books. I got LRJ’s new book too – couldn’t resist. 😉 Maybe we can buddy read it?!?

    Happy Monday, wifey! *smooches* {{{BIG HUGS}}}

  14. How adorable. Freddy looks like a natural swimmer. You might need to jump in and cool off if you’re reading all those spicy new books. LOL Have a fabulous time!
