Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS / BB&B - (un)Conventional bookviews

STS #184

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #154 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Lots of thesis writing this past week, and I’m quite happy with myself. Even if I didn’t reach my goal of being finished before this weekend, I just may manage to finish before the weekend is over 😉

We spent the whole week in Spain, got home on Friday evening. Freddy enjoyed more of the Med, we spent a day in Barcelona, and just hung out, took naps, and spent time together. Now, it’s back to the real world for a week. And then, I’m jetting off again… will tease you more with my next trip in a week 😉

  1. Oh, very nice haul. I got the next Southern Ghost Hunter series book on NG this week and that made me excited. Congrats to you and Brandee on your dual win, too.

Yay for nearly hitting your writing goal and to having some great down time in Spain.

    Have a good week, Lexxie!

  2. Ohh I love the sound and the cover of The Red, Silver Silence and Before I Ever Met You. You’re so lucky. Congrats on winning the arc. I have a gut feeling that you’re gonna love them all. Can’t wait to read your reviews.
I’m glad to hear you had an amazing trip. I’m planning to have a short trip next month. I miss my parents. I hope your next trip will be awesome, too, Lexxie.

    Have a wonderful week. ?

    • I know, I am a very lucky lady, Geybie! And I have a gut feeling I’m going to love all of these, too. I just wish I could be a professional reader 😀
I hope you’ll be able to visit your parents in May! It’s hard to be away from the people we love.

  3. Ooh nice! I really need to read And I Darken! Hearing good things about this series!! Hope you have a good trip next week as well! And wishing you the continual good luck with your thesis!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  4. I picked up Silver Silence too. CAN’T WAIT!! ^_^ It’s spring break this week for my boy and so I’m having reading withdrawal. When he’s off I’m running around doing things to keep the little one active.
    Have a great week!

      • My boy is back this week and grandma leaves for home today Tuesday 25th, so hopefully I’ll get back on my reading schedule. I’m reading Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh and then either Silver Silence or a library book. HAven’t decided yet. Need to write up a few reviews this week too. I got to read the first chapter of Silver Silence on the authors website and I was like OMG, YES, CAN’T WAIT, all excited. ^_^

  5. Obviously, I’m living life wrong. I need to go to Barcelona. *sigh* I am intrigued about your next trip! Good luck with your writing this week.

  6. I am glad you are getting close to finishing your thesis. That has to feel good. I am glad you had a nice trip and can’t wait to find out about your next one. Great books this week! I am still waiting to find out if I will be approved for Now I Rise. Fingers crossed!

  7. Ooh The Red LOOKS naughty ha ha! And Now I Rise looks good too. Glad you liked Starflight.

Barcelona sounds pretty good and sounds like you have another fun getaway planned! Hope it’s a good week. 🙂

  8. I’ve just noticed you have these lovely challenge status bars on the sidebar! Awesome. And it makes me feel better too cause you’re doing just as well as I am 😀 haha. We’ll need to hammer it in during summer, huh?

Where are you going next week? So jealous xD I want a vacation so bad! If just to sit in a still place and enjoy my books x.x you know what I mean.

This week I didn’t get a lot of reading done, but I finally wrote a review for The Radium Girls (and I’m massively happy with it). So at least there’s that!

Also, Lies Jane Austen Told Me sounds interesting 🙂

    • Haha Evelina! I’m behind on everything bookish this year. But I know I’ll get back to reading more once I finish my thesis.

My next trip will be awesome, as it’s a book convention with both authors I love and bloggers I ador 🙂

  9. That’s awesome about the thesis! What a feeling of accomplishment/relief. 🙂 Nice that Spain was so relaxing. And now you’re about to head off again? Hmm, can’t wait to hear where! I’m about to enjoy a week of R&R myself (in about a week). Days spent poolside with a book and a fruity drink. Can’t wait!

  10. I can’t believe you are going to be 12 hours away from me and I wont be able to see you!!! 🙁
Sounds like you had a great time in Spain. I am longing for the Jersey Shore weekends.

Will be checking out those reviews when you finish the books. Love the cover of The Red

Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss You! <3 xoxo

  11. Ooh, I’m planning on starting And I Darken soon!
My only purchase this week was a zombie trilogy (Zom-B by Darren Shan) that I found for a dollar at Dollar Tree. I almost never find anything I’d actually want to read there so it was a nice surprise.
I hope you have a great week!
