Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #184
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you, Tiffany Reisz! I can’t wait to dig into this one! It sounds deliciously naughty!
Thank you so much, Berkeley Publishing and NetGalley. There was happy-dancing when I received Silver Silence <3
Thank you, Shadow Mountain Publishing, Random House Children’s / Delacorte Press, and NetGalley!
My dear blogger-wife, Brandee, and I are very lucky these days! We both won Before I ever Met You by Karina Halle on Karina’s Instagram page. And now we have a new buddy-read!
The Sunday Post #154 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Lots of thesis writing this past week, and I’m quite happy with myself. Even if I didn’t reach my goal of being finished before this weekend, I just may manage to finish before the weekend is over 😉
We spent the whole week in Spain, got home on Friday evening. Freddy enjoyed more of the Med, we spent a day in Barcelona, and just hung out, took naps, and spent time together. Now, it’s back to the real world for a week. And then, I’m jetting off again… will tease you more with my next trip in a week 😉

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Oh, very nice haul. I got the next Southern Ghost Hunter series book on NG this week and that made me excited. Congrats to you and Brandee on your dual win, too.
Yay for nearly hitting your writing goal and to having some great down time in Spain.
Have a good week, Lexxie!
Oh that’s nice, Sophia Rose! I love it when I’m accepted for books I never thought I’d be able to get my hands on in advance 🙂
I was sooooo happy when I got Now I Rise this week too. I can’t wait to read it! 😀
YAY for books we are extremely excited about, Stephanie!
Ohh I love the sound and the cover of The Red, Silver Silence and Before I Ever Met You. You’re so lucky. Congrats on winning the arc. I have a gut feeling that you’re gonna love them all. Can’t wait to read your reviews.
I’m glad to hear you had an amazing trip. I’m planning to have a short trip next month. I miss my parents. I hope your next trip will be awesome, too, Lexxie.
Have a wonderful week. ?
I know, I am a very lucky lady, Geybie! And I have a gut feeling I’m going to love all of these, too. I just wish I could be a professional reader 😀
I hope you’ll be able to visit your parents in May! It’s hard to be away from the people we love.
Well done on all the hard work on your thesis! It will be great for you to have it done soon!
Thanks, Chuckles! It’s almost completely done now 🙂
Ooh nice! I really need to read And I Darken! Hearing good things about this series!! Hope you have a good trip next week as well! And wishing you the continual good luck with your thesis!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I actually still need to read And I Darken, too… *sighs*
Thanks, Jessica!
I picked up Silver Silence too. CAN’T WAIT!! ^_^ It’s spring break this week for my boy and so I’m having reading withdrawal. When he’s off I’m running around doing things to keep the little one active.
Have a great week!
I’ve already started Silver Silence, Angela… SO good!
I hope you’ll be able to get back into reading and that the boy is back in school 😉
My boy is back this week and grandma leaves for home today Tuesday 25th, so hopefully I’ll get back on my reading schedule. I’m reading Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh and then either Silver Silence or a library book. HAven’t decided yet. Need to write up a few reviews this week too. I got to read the first chapter of Silver Silence on the authors website and I was like OMG, YES, CAN’T WAIT, all excited. ^_^
Oh that sounds nice, Angela 🙂 I’m glad you’ll be back on your reading schedule. Silver Silence is SO good so far!!! Like, REALLY goos 🙂

Lots of great reads! Hope you had a great time in Spain and congrats on almost having your thesis written! 🙂
I know, right? Good stuff all around 🙂
Awesome haul of books this week. I hope you love all of your new books.
Grace
Thanks, Grace! I hope so, too 🙂
Gorgeous books! Spain sounds wonderful. Enjoy the new week.
Thanks, Laurel-Rain 🙂
Nice haul! I hope you’re able to finish your thesis soon. I was so happy when I finally got mine done and approved.
Thanks, Aj. I can’t even imagine how good it’s going to feel to have my thesis behind me! Almost there 🙂
Obviously, I’m living life wrong. I need to go to Barcelona. *sigh* I am intrigued about your next trip! Good luck with your writing this week.
Eh. I don’t think you’re living life wrong, Charlie! And Barcelona is a lot closer for me than it is for you 😉
I am glad you are getting close to finishing your thesis. That has to feel good. I am glad you had a nice trip and can’t wait to find out about your next one. Great books this week! I am still waiting to find out if I will be approved for Now I Rise. Fingers crossed!
Yes, it does feel good! I’m so sick and tired of my that project now it’s not even funny!
Ooh The Red LOOKS naughty ha ha! And Now I Rise looks good too. Glad you liked Starflight.
Barcelona sounds pretty good and sounds like you have another fun getaway planned! Hope it’s a good week. 🙂
I’m pretty sure it IS naughty, too, Greg 😀 I can’t wait to start listening to Starfall!
I’m excited to check out Now I Rise and see how the story continues…
So did you enjoy And I Darken? I actually haven’t read that one yet…
Those are some lovely book covers. Good luck with finishing your thesis. And Spain sounds lovely! I miss a pic of Freddy but it sounds like you are way busy.

I’ve just noticed you have these lovely challenge status bars on the sidebar! Awesome. And it makes me feel better too cause you’re doing just as well as I am 😀 haha. We’ll need to hammer it in during summer, huh?
Where are you going next week? So jealous xD I want a vacation so bad! If just to sit in a still place and enjoy my books x.x you know what I mean.
This week I didn’t get a lot of reading done, but I finally wrote a review for The Radium Girls (and I’m massively happy with it). So at least there’s that!
Also, Lies Jane Austen Told Me sounds interesting 🙂
Haha Evelina! I’m behind on everything bookish this year. But I know I’ll get back to reading more once I finish my thesis.
My next trip will be awesome, as it’s a book convention with both authors I love and bloggers I ador 🙂
I’m glad you had a lovely relaxing time in Spain – though I’m aware it won’t have been TOO relaxing if you were thesis writing. Congratulations on getting so much done – sometimes a change of scene can really help:). Looking forward to hearing about more of your travels in due course – have a great week! My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/04/23/sunday-post-23rd-april-2017/
I wrote in the morning and went for shenanigans in the afternoon 😀 That’s how it should be when on a break from work, right? I did need some relaxation, too.
That’s awesome about the thesis! What a feeling of accomplishment/relief. 🙂 Nice that Spain was so relaxing. And now you’re about to head off again? Hmm, can’t wait to hear where! I’m about to enjoy a week of R&R myself (in about a week). Days spent poolside with a book and a fruity drink. Can’t wait!
You are right! I will be even more relieved once it’s ALL done! 🙂
Have a great vacay with books, fruity drinks and the poop 🙂
OMG Lexxie I’m dying here. I plan to have fun at the POOL. But I surely hope there is no POOP. LOL
OMG I didn’t even see that, Tanya. I hope there will be no poop, of course. Only fun, pool and the fruity drinks 😀 hahahahahahah I’m not even going to edit that – what a good laugh!
I’m jealous of your jet setting ways! Glad you had a wonderful time in Spain! Enjoy your new books 🙂
Samantha The Book Disciple
I had a great time, but next week will be even better, I think 😉

I can’t believe you are going to be 12 hours away from me and I wont be able to see you!!! 🙁
Sounds like you had a great time in Spain. I am longing for the Jersey Shore weekends.
Will be checking out those reviews when you finish the books. Love the cover of The Red
Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss You! <3 xoxo
I know! *cries* I so wish you could come down to spend those days with us, Michelle! I miss your face so much! <3
You'll be going to the Jersey Shore very soon, and you'll love every minute of it 🙂 {{{hugs}}}
Lies Jane Austen Told Me looks like a fun read!
Wow! Spain!? how exciting! Hope you had a great trip. 🙂 ~Aleen
It does sound fun, right? I was utterly unable to resist 🙂
some interesting and new books to me. Happy reading!
Thanks, Melliane!
Ooh, I’m planning on starting And I Darken soon!
My only purchase this week was a zombie trilogy (Zom-B by Darren Shan) that I found for a dollar at Dollar Tree. I almost never find anything I’d actually want to read there so it was a nice surprise.
I hope you have a great week!
Stacy Renee @ Lazy Day Literature
I need to read And I Darken first, then I’ll jump into Now I Rise 🙂
Lucky you finding a zombie trilogy you actually wanted at dollar tree!
I got Now I Rise through a book trade recently, and I’m so happy! Hope you enjoy your new books!
Check out my Sunday Post
Awesome 🙂 I hope I’ll enjoy them, too!
Lucky you with so many trips away. I could use a nice, relaxing vacation. haha

I know! I’m a spoiled woman when it comes to traveling 🙂 It’s pretty easy to get around in Europe, though… But my next trip is overseas!

Yep, even more jealous now you said that 😀 haha 😀
And I’m also behind! High-five! Or maybe low-five 😀
