Weekend Wrap-up #185 – Georgia on my Mind

Posted 29 April, 2017 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 35 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS / BB&B - (un)Conventional bookviews

STS #185

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

ARCs Recieved - (un)Conventional Bookviews - Bought Borrowed and Bagged Stacking the Shelves

Lord of Pleasure cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews

(un)ConventionalBookViews_Banner-AudioARCs

Call Back audio coverKeystone audio cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Thank you, Tantor Media!

Purchased - (un)Conventional Bookviews bought borrowed and bagged stacking the shelves

The Leopard King cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews - Weekend Wrap-upThe Demon Prince cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews Rock F*ck Club cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I bought the Leopard King and The Demon Prince after seeing some Tweets by Ann Aguirre… Apparently this is a paranormal romance series where one of the female characters is bi-sexual. And a reviewer gave her crap for that. I, however, want more diversity in my PNR reads as well, so I promptly one-clicked.

If I Were You cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsBeing Me cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsRevealing Us cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsNo In Between cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsI Belong to You cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I absolutely loved Provocative which is a spin-off of the Inside-Out series, and so of course, as soon as I finished reading Provocative, I one-clicked this whole series.

The Sunday Post #155 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I finished my thesis!!! The final draft has been sent off to my professor so that she can comment one more time before I hand in the complete and final copy.

This Sunday, I am leaving for Atlanta for one week of RT Booklovers Convention shenanigans. And I’m so excited! I get to spend some time with Brandee, Melanie, the blackhearted Debbie and Ali, Karen, and Felicia. I get to spend some time with favorite authors. And I get to have a lot of fun! The blog will be fairly quiet next week, but if you want to see what I’m up to, you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter where I will post photos and updates.

This week’s Freddy in action:

  1. OMG, you have many great looking books to read, Lexxie. I read Lisa Renee Jones book in the past but didn’t finish. Not because I didn’t love it but because I got distracted by other books. I think I need to try her books as soon as possible. I’ve heard great things about her.
I hope you enjoy all these books, Lexxie.
Wow, congratulations on finishing your thesis. It feels like the pressure finally being taken off your shoulders, right? ?
Oh and have fun at RT Booklovers Convention! Take lots of pictures.
    Have a wonderful week!?

    • I know! I really should have stayed away from actually buying books, though, you know? But I just can’t ever resist 🙂
The pressure is definitely off… but I still have my defence towards the end of May 🙂
I’ll have lots of fun in Atlanta, that’s for sure. I can’t wait to see my blogger friends again 😀

    • I’m sure it’s going to be a total blast, Sophia! I can’t wait to spend some time with some of my favorite bloggers, and bonus for the authors who are going to be there 🙂
There will be pictures on FB / IG / Twitter. And I’ll do my best to do a weekend post in a week, too.

  2. Yay for finishing the thesis!!! I so wish I could be going to RT! Realizing that I probably won’t go next year since it’s in Reno. I didn’t want to go to Vegas because of its craziness, so naturally they picked its sister city! LOL! Looks like I’m holding out for 2019! Hope you have fun!!

Nice new reads too! All totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I wish you were going to RT this year, too, Jessica! I won’t do Reno next year either, just like I didn’t really feel like Vegas last year. Depending on dates, I may not be able to do it in the future, as it’s outside of school vacations.

      Have a great weekend 🙂

  3. Congrats on finishing your thesis!! I can’t imagine what relief you fill that it has been finished. Looks like you are going to have SUPER fun in Atlanta!

  4. That’s great that you got your thesis done! Congrats! Must be a big relief and now you can set off on your bookish adventures with an easy heart. Enjoy RT, and meeting up with your friends.

  5. Have fun at RT! I am so envious of everyone going!
I read Sex in the Sticks by Sawyer bennett and didn’t really care for it. I was disappointed because I usually really like her books!
Congrats on getting your Thesis done!! That must be a huge relief!
Have a great trip to RT!

  6. RO

You’re gonna have a ton of fun in Hotlanta, and hope you share some pics when you can. CONGRATS on finishing up your thesis! I know that has to be a load ff your mind, girl! Really enjoy Lisa Renee Jones and her books. Even better, she has some really fantastic things to say on Facebook. Hope your week is as fab as you are! Hugs… and Happy Reading!

  7. Wow, that’s awful a reviewer gave the author crap for having a bisexual character. I think that’s AWESOME so yay for you for buying the books! Hopefully they are enjoyable.

Aw, have fun in Atlanta! I’m so jealous. lol
