The Sunday Post #140 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I did my defense for my Master’s Thesis yesterday, and I made it! Now, I have a Master’s degree in English language and literature. I’m so happy that is behind me now, it’s such a relief.

This Week’s Freddy in Action:
Freddy made me laugh, all the while I told him to get down from the couch 🙂
Freddy made me a bit jealous last week, since he had all the time in the world to lounge in the sun 🙂

  1. Woohoo!!!!! The Master of English Language and Literature. What a high it must have been after you found out.

Nice pile of books. The Brenda Novak has my attention as does the Hildie McQueen since they are authors I’ve had my eye on for a while.

Freddy being mischievous up on the couch. 🙂

Have a good weekend, Lexxie! You’ll have to go out to dinner to celebrate your degree. 🙂

    • Definitely a high! It was pretty tough to get through, I was so nervous, but now, it’s done 🙂

Hildie McQueen is amazing, and Novak is one of my fave contemporary romance authors. There’s a bit of suspense as well in this series.

Thank you, Sophia Rose! I had some friends over for champagne last night… so today, I have a slight headache 😉

  2. It’s a dogs life, and Freddie seems to know it! Congrats on your thesis, and your degree! Must be a great feeling. 🙂

    Enjoy your weekend!!!

  3. Congratulations Lexxie!!!! You did it. What are your plans now? I’m looking forward to your review for As it Faded. I didn’t even know KA Tucker had a new book out. I am so out of the loop for some authors. Anyways, have a great week!

    • Thank you Karen! Next up is another two years of school to get a Master’s degree in education so I can teach full time 🙂
Until it Fades was really good, and I hope you’ll get your hands on it, because I think you’ll enjoy it, too.

  4. Woohoo!! I knew you could do it! So glad that you got it all done and can relax for a bit. What is up next for you, now that you have your Masters? Are you wanting to do more teaching? I hope you have a great week. 🙂

  5. OMG!!! CONGRATS!! That’s so exciting!!! Cannot say CONGRATS enough! CONGRATS!!! 😀

Nice new reads too! They’re all new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  6. Congrats my friend! you worked so hard for it! Wish we could celebrate together! I will have a glass of wine for you tonight (or 2 or 3) 😉

I wish I could be a dog just for a few days, the lounging and sleeping sounds awesome right about now! 🙂

Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you! Happy Reading! ox

    • Thank you Michelle! I wish we could truly celebrate together, too. Having cross-Atlantic cheers is good, too, though 😉
Oh my, yes, to be a dog in a household that loves the dog to pieces must be the best life ever!
      Miss you too 🙂

  7. vvb

Yay! Congrats with the Masters. You are in for a relaxing summer 🙂
I like the looks of Love in Transit. Enjoy.

  8. Congratulations on your Master’s. Well done!! ^_^ My pup Saphira can relate to Freddy. She made me a little jealous all week with her lounging around in the sun on our porch. I wanted to be out relaxing while reading, but no that summer’s hear I watch our little man who’s 5.

Love your book haul. Hope you enjoy your new books. I picked up a few freebies: Unexpected Eden, Hell’s Belle, and Chaos Rises. I also was approved on NetGalley for Archangel’s Viper…. Eeeee ^_^

Have a fabulous week and happy reading.

    • Thanks Angela 🙂 I’m very happy it’s behind me now! I bet running around watching a five-year old means you need all your energy. My kids are in school until the end of June, and my youngest is 12, so it’s a bit differen now.
Ooooh… I had no idea Archangel’s Viper was up on NetGalley! I had to jump over there and request it before I finished answering your comment 😀

      • LOL… I saw it pop up in one of NetGalley emails they send out and I was all over it… ^_^ I totally get it. Hope you are approved.

Ya, my son has always had a lot of energy no mater what age he is and he has always been a 5 or 5:30am riser. Dear God!! I’ve never been a morning person, but my son is up like clock work. It makes for very long days & lots of caffeine (coffee or tea). I was never much of a coffee drinker until after I had my son. Then I need that pick me up to get going.

        Have a great week!!

  9. Congrats on your accomplishment! Nothing feels better than to have that degree finished…and behind you, adding to your feeling of relief and pride.

Enjoy your new week and your books…and Freddy looks a bit unsure of what he should do.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  10. Congrats on nailing the defense and getting your masters! That’s awesome!

It’s hard to give good discipline when you’re laughing, both to pets and kids. Oops. 🙂 Freddy looks thrilled to be lounging in the sun. Hope you have a great week!
