Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS / BB&B - (un)Conventional bookviews

STS #191

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #141 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I have corrected 48 English tests, and followed eight of my students for their oral exams for the end of the year. It’s been less busy than before, and I’ve read lots of great books as well. It’s been SO hot! And even if we got a thunderstorm on Wednesday evening, with a cool night, the rest of the week was hot as well.

There’s a giveaway going on, to find it, click here.

On Friday, my husband and I traveled to Berlin for a weekend get-away. I’m going to RARE17 Berlin on Saturday, and I have a nice pile of books to get signe while I’m there. Make sure you follow me on Instagram or Facebook for pictures 😉

  1. I’m sure you and hubby will have a good time in Berlin. Enjoy the book convention, too. Maybe it will be cooler for you.

Nice book haul. I got Archangel’s Viper and love that series, too.

  2. Freddy gets into the strangest positions when he sleeps…I don’t know how he does it! I’ve been on the splurge again but I’m running out of reasons to care at the moment! Have a good time in Berlin!

  3. Wow! Lots of new to me reads! I am soooo behind in Nalini’s Guild Hunter series! Really ought to get caught up in that one again!

Yay for traveling and yay for signings! I’m still trying to find myself a signing for this year. And next year. I debated heavily about Apollycon but just don’t think I can afford that since I also plan on going to Florida in the fall. Airfare is sooo pricey these days. I couldn’t really justify the cost for the book trip based on what authors I knew I wanted to see, mostly ones I’ve met before too. Though I’m most likely going to be planning a book order from them! Just wish they weren’t in Washington DC either. With all the stuff going on lately, I really don’t want to fly on a plane there and driving is so out of the question!

Love these pics of Freddy! So funny how little dogs always lay like that. Our bigger dogs are more tummy layers. Though sometimes I’ve seen one of them be all sprawled out. It’s amazing he can be comfortable like that! LOL!

Hope you enjoy all the new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  4. Wow, look at all those great new books! That’s one amazing all! I had a copy of Barrel Proof and really enjoyed it, so I hope you do too! I also have a copy of Mask of Shadows and can’t wait to start it. Hope you love all your new books and have a great week!

  5. You got a lot of great books. I’m very jealous. I really love Sky Warren. I haven’t read the series you got there, but I love most of her stuff. Also, Ilona Andrews and Nalini Singh. Hope you have a great time in Berlin. It’s been really hot here in Ohio. I’m trying to stay inside with AC. Have a great week.

  6. Ooh nice haul! Sleeper and Mask of Shadows look great! It’s been hot here too, although we cooled off a little the last few days. Still feels like summer.

Hope you guys have a great time in Berlin! Yay for bookish things. 🙂

  7. Great haul, and great Freddy moments!

I love the look of The Way It Hurts. Enjoy your haul, and your travels. My son lived in Berlin for six years, now he is back in Prague. My daughter and her husband have been honeymooning in that part of the world: first Prague, then Amsterdam. Now they are headed home.

Thanks for sharing…and enjoy your week.

  8. Freddy sleeping reminds me of some of my cats positions?
I hope you had a great time in Berlin and had a safe trip home. And wow that’s a lot of ARCs to read! Hope you enjoy!

  9. Sounds like you’ve had a great week Lexxie. Your pictures of RARE17 Berlin look great. And how awesome that you’ve got to meet Karina Halle! I definitely need to check out the next event.. Maybe if I plan it better I can go sometime too. Would be great! 😀
Have a great week and happy reading!

  10. You got some great reads this week! You might have made up for me not getting any! 🙂 lol
Loved the pictures of you guys away. You looking like you had fun! Made me miss your face a lot more!

I hope you have a fantastic week, Lexxie! Miss you and Happy Reading! ox

  11. RO

My goodness you got a ton of books, Lexxie! You’re gonna be set for the summer. Sorry you’re experiencing such hot weather. We’re having that problem here in NC, as well. That’s a lot of test to grade for sure. I’ll need to check out those pics from Berlin. While in the Air Force, I had lots of friends who visited and said they enjoyed the sights. Hope your day is fantastic! Hugs…RO

  12. Lexxi, it sounds like you had a great week! It is crazy hot in California right now (I will be hitting the pool shortly). Congrats on getting so many ARCs! I am still shy about requesting ARCs, as I don’t have as many followers as you. Have another wonderful week.
