Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #194

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

ARCs Recieved - (un)Conventional Bookviews - Bought Borrowed and Bagged Stacking the Shelves

The Sunday Post # – Weekend Wrap-up #144

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We drove down to our vacation home in Spain this past Wednesday, and it was actually really nice to do that drive on a week day! There was hardly any traffic, so we weren’t dead tired when we arrived. Both the kids and Freddy were really good in the car, and we are all happy to have some much needed time off. Plus, we’re spending that time with some of our favorite people, in one of our favorite places. My oldest son and his girlfriend are driving down this weekend, and I’m looking forward to seeing both of them!

The only problem I have is that somehow, our direct debit for our internet bill was reversed in May, so I don’t have a good internet connection 🙁 I’m working hard to fix that, because using the 3G on my Swiss phone to put up my Weekend post is definitely going to be expensive!

This Week’s Freddy in Action:
Running with child #3
Sniffing at the weird grass near the beach 🙂

  1. Christy LoveOfBooks

I got Karina’s book too. Hope it’s a good one. Yay for your trip! I’m off the beach in a couple days.

  2. I could use a few days somewhere nice! It doesn’t look like there is going to be a holiday this year which is a pity. Hope you and Freddy are having a good time!

  3. It’s always nice when the drive is good! Hope you all have a wonderful time! Bummer about the internet. I hate internet issues. I have them frequently in my house. Not sure if our connection just isn’t that good or if it has to do with the router being in the basement with the desktop computer. Oh well. It seems to be stable for now on my laptop. Though Netflix crashed on me last night right in the middle of a show! So displeased about that! LOL!

Nice new reads! And yay for not adding too much to the TBR pile! All totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them!!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  4. I’m always going over my usual internet amount when I’m on vacation, I’m sure this year it’ll be even more expensive since I’m going 3 weeks instead of my usual 2. Sigh

I can’t wait to hear what you think of After All by Karina Halle! ♥

  5. Yay, I’m on vacation too, Lexxie. Glad to hear you’re having a wonderful time. I’m typing this while on the train! Yay, so excited. Anyway, I got Jilted for review and can’t wait to start it. Oh, I’m curious about Under Fire!! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. ?

  6. Yay for Spain! Hope you have a fabulous time! Boo about the internet thing, hope that’s sorted soon. Hope your weather is awesome!!!

  7. Great to hear you’re having a nice time on holidays. I wish I was on holiday haha!! That dog is also super adorable. Hope your internet picks up because yes using 3G will be pretty expensive which sucks. Have a great week.

  8. Oldest son and girlfriend? Honestly, are you a Time Lord? Last time I saw your photo you looked like you were a university freshman 😀 what is the deal here?? 😀
I’m glad your trip was okay 🙂 I hope you have great weather!

  9. Oh Lexxie! I do miss you! 🙂 Sorry I haven’t been around lately. I am hope you are enjoying the vacation. I am hoping to find some vacation time soon but it looks like it wont be until August. I feel like I have been full steam ahead since last year. I know how busy you have been also. Good for you for not grabbing anything. Like you I also only got two books!

Give Freddy a squeeze for me, he is getting so big and such a cutie!

Have a great time off! Rest and Relax!!! Hope this week is awesome for you! Happy Reading! ox

  10. Loving your little Freddie dog. We got a couple shi tzu’s at my mom’s place. Lost of relaxation in your future, I predict. #sundaypost. ps. so jealous of your spain trip

  11. Our internet has been acting up and it is really frustrating. I hope you get it worked out! After All sounds really good and I still haven’t read any of her books (even though I met her at a book signing and have some of her books). I added After All to my TBR. I hope you have a great week!

  12. I just left a comment on you post for Kiersten White’s book asking if you’re in Spain yet. You are so fortunate to be so close. I didn’t think dogs cared what kind of grass, as long as they had some to roll around in. LOL I was away last weekend at my sister’s and came home to no TV. They also reversed my debit payment? When I talked to someone from who knows where, they said it was my bank that did it. Not!

Have a lovely time in Spain and thanks for the Freddy picks. It’s been fun to watch him grow up:)

  13. I hope you’re having a great time Lexxie. Even without the good internet connection.. Now you’re forced to relax even more! 😉
Have a great time with your family!

  14. I’m currently in Spain at the moment too! I am glad the ride there was so smooth, and it sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun with all of the family and friends coming to visit as well ^.^
