Weekend Wrap-up #195 – Sun, Sea and Fun!

Posted 15 July, 2017 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 63 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews, Reading Reality, and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #195

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

Thank you, Sourcebooks Fire and NetGalley!

I read all of the above books this week, I became slightly obsessed with R.K. Lilley’s world – and Tristan & Danika’s series was awesome – more so than Up in the Air in my opinion.

The Sunday Post #145 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I have spent a very nice, lazy week in the sun, by the sea, reading books, hanging out with my family and just enjoying life. Quite a few new books added to my shelf, and loads read! Plus, I have completed 30 books for the Summer COYER Challenge so far. I also got our internet up and working again – thanks to a very nice lady in a store that had nothing to do with internet service – she actually used her own phone to call the company to clear things up for me – and she stayed on the phone for 45 minutes!!

Because my internet connection only came back up on Friday, I haven’t been able to visit anyone this past week. I really hope that will be different next week!

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. Wow you’re humming along on COYER! And yay for a week in the sun- sounds nice! It’s been nice here too- now I just need the sea to go along with it lol.

Freddy looks like he’s chilled. 🙂

  2. Wow! That lady was super nice!! I hate when there’s issues with the internet! Since I basically live on my computer half the time when I’m not reading! LOL! Glad your vacation was nice too! Freddy of course is adorable!

Nice new reads! All totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  3. I had problems with my blog this week that had my brother helping me for over two hours! I think I can fix most of it now on my own, but it is frustrating to have to ask for help. Yay for humanity! That was really nice of the lady in the store to help you. Have a wonderful week.

  4. Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time, Lexxie. It seems that Freddy did too. He’s so cute! ?
I enjoyed Tristan and Danika’s and that series has been on my TBR list like forever. I hope you enjoy them, Lexxie. ?

Have a wonderful week and happy reading. ?

  5. Oh gosh that was very nice of the woman to help you out like that with the internet! And you are doing awesome on COYER. Me….not so much. It seems that is always my struggle with COYER. Hopefully August will be better since I don’t have as many arcs.

  6. You got The Rules of Magic too! I was so happy when I received that email. You excited? Have you read Practical magic? I got that one to read before I read the prequel.

    Wow! You’re kicking COYER Butt! Clearly I need to pick up some R.K. Lilley, seeing as you devoured that this week 🙂 Sounds like you’re having a great rest at the beach and Freddy seems to be enjoying himself too. Have a great week Lexxie! Miss you {{HUGS}}

  8. Awe, Freddy is adorable!!!! I’m glad you got your internet fixed. My kids go crazy if ours is down even for a few minutes. lol… Have a great week.

  10. Wow, you are doing great on COYER. I still haven’t read any of R.K. Lilley’s books but I do have some of them. I’ll need to read them now lol. Freddy is so adorable looking at himself lol. I hope you continue to have a great vacation. Have a great week!

  11. What a beautiful week! Freddy looks like he’s having a grand time. YAY for that woman helping you out. How kind! I’m going to *try* to kick up my reading a bit and finish a good number before school starts. I hope you have another great week!

  12. Sounds like you had a good week despite internet issues. That was so nice that the lady stayed on the phone so long to help you out. I had a great weekend in Portland, OR. It was my first trip to that state and I had a great time. I hope you have a great week.

  13. The Border is a new book we both have in common as well! I’m curious about what I’ll think when I read it, and you too. That sounds like a brilliant week. What better way to start off the holiday?
