Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

The Sunday Post #147 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We had a nice quiet week here in Spain. The weather was a bit cooler, but fairly windy. Which made for some fun at the beach with a body board 🙂

I also got my timetable for the next school-year, and I’m going to be really, really busy! It’s going to be great, but I’m doing my best to write reviews, Safe & Sexy posts as well as Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts posts as fast as possible these days, to make sure I won’t have an empty blog.

COYER is still going very well for me, I’ve almost reached my goal of 50 books, you can check my COYER Summer 2017 shelf if you’d like to see which books I’ve read, because I don’t think I’ll be able to have all of the reviews written here before COYER is over.

I have started using a new review template… my first review using it is live on Sunday… please let me know what you think!

  1. The Brenda Novak looks good and oh cool, Wildfire on audio.

Yay that you got your schedule and are set for a busy year and way to go with blogging ahead. I’m on target for my COYER goal, but it will be close. 🙂

Glad you are having a lovely time in Spain. The wave riding sounds fun.

    Happy Weekend, Lexxie!

  2. Ooh Hello Again looks like a fab thriller! And awesome about COYER! I’m nowhere near that many books but I am happy with how it’s going, and there are so many good reviews up on the linky. Hope you have another great week with nice weather. 🙂

  3. I’ve recently seen Winner around lately, maybe it’s a sign that I have to read it?
I don’t know where you went to in Spain, but so glad you had a lovely time there! I’ve been to Spain a few times, it’s a beautiful (and hot!) country. 🙂

  4. Look at your Coyer’s goals, good luck with that this year!! I hope you really enjoy the audio of Wildfire. I am excited to see your new review template.

  5. Ooh nice! Glad to hear things are going well! Freddy is looking adorable as always!

And yay for new reads!! All totally new to me ones! Hope you love them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  6. It’s so useful to be ahead of schedule when you’re super busy. This teacher here knows exactly how you feel! I hope you enjoy your week ahead!

  7. Those books look very interesting. Happy reading! Guess I should start blogging my new books again 🙂 I am not up to date and the pile is growing really fast *lol* Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day.

    Have a great weekend, Lexxie
    Best wishes

I’m a fan of all things Brenda Novak, and she writes so well. I love that she does a diabetes fundraiser every year. 50 books – yay! I sure wish Spain would send some of that cool breeze our way in NC. It has been brutally hot and humid. Hope you have a fab weekend!

  9. Freddy has that knack of making sitting still look cute! We’re in the middle of a wet spell which has improved my mood so maybe the hot stuff is over for another year. I can hope anyway! Enjoy your break and your books!

  10. Glad to hear you’re having a great time there, Lexxie. I got an ARC of the book I’ve been looking forward to. I’ve loved the previous books and can’t wait to read it.

Have a wonderful week, my friend.

PS: I want to kiss and hug Freddy! ??❤️

    • Thanks, Laurel-Rain. It is really wonderful. So nice to just relax these days.

Hello Again sounds like it’s going to be very suspenseful! If you enjoy suspense / psychological thrillers, you should check out the whole series, really.

  11. Your holiday sounds so fabulous. It has been hellacious here in Texas. You’ve done phenomenal with COYER! I knew I wouldn’t have hardly any of the reviews written by the end (so that I could have posts built up when school starts), so I decided not to participate this year. I already have two more to write from this week. That will take me through mid-November! 🙂 Lately I’ve been not quite satisfied with my reviews. I’ll have to check out your template!

    • It really is, Charlie 🙂
Sorry it’s hellacious in Texas! I bet it gets really hot there.
I’m using Goodreads for my COYER reviews, as I usually write a sentence when I finish a book, that way, I could participate even if my full reviews will come later.
WOW through mid-November????? I have two weeks done, but I need to do much more…

  12. We also had some cooler weather here this week, which has been nice :). That sounds like a good plan to prep some posts in advance for when you’ll be busy.

Wow you read a lot for Coyer already! I can’t remember how many books I read so far, but I think am doing pretty well too. And I already made my goal for the new release challenge :).

I am curious about your new review template. That Freddy picture is so cute! Have a great week!

    • Yeah, I’m all for not feeling like a baked potato, Lola 😉
The review is up now, if you want to check it out… I want to have something a bit shorter than what I’ve been doing up until now, but still have the essentials covered.

  13. Sounds like you’re still having a great time in Spain!
Your new books sound and look great. I’m curious about the one by Brenda Novak!
I’ll check out your review! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!

  14. Okay, totally random thought here: I was watching the Women’s Scottish Open Golf this weekend with the hubs (he digs chick golf – go figure, right?) and the weather was atrocious on Saturday. I wondered what the weather was like for you, being in Spain but still on the coast, too. My hubs was all like, “I’m sure it’s much nicer, it’s Spain”. But you’re about the same latitude as we are, err, I think?? BUT you totally confirmed the cooler temps and winds for me.

SOOOOO, thanks for making me right and my hubs wrong!!!

New review template, huh??? I’m stealing it when I see it!!! xoxoxoxo

    • LOL Kristin 🙂 Cooler here, is not Scottish cool, Kristin, so your hubs was definitely right on that one. I guess it went down from about 88 to 80, plus we got a wind, so definitely cooler 😀 Also, the Mediterranean coast is different from the Atlantic, so we definitely have better weather than the Scots.
Haha, not sure you’ll want to steal it, I just want something set up to make it fast and easy to do a short review, but still hit all the highlights, you know? I have no idea if I worked it.

  15. Glad you are enjoying your time away! You are totally rocking COYER. I am stinking at the reading at the moment, it’s so sad! lol

Give Freddy hugs! He is just so cute.

I hope you have a great week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! I MISS YOU!!!! <3 <3 ox

Good luck getting far ahead for the school year – I’m working on the same thing. I wrote a September post last night and I was like, “wow! I’m literally a month ahead :)” Of course my Sunday Posts aren’t ready, but that’s not bad at all.

I’m so excited for you getting to have your OWN classes this year – sounds like maybe busier than expected though? I’m sure you’ll do amazing, all that subbing has made you an old pro! Have a great week! {{HUGS}} (p.s. only 3 hour 15 minutes till time to buy tickets!)

    • Thanks Berls 🙂 I will make it, I’m sure! I’m only a couple of weeks ahead, but that’s a good start. I also have about 30 reviews I should write, you know… soon-ish;)
I keep refreshing already for the tickets! I’m SO excited! Now, it’s 2h 50 min 😀

  17. Love cuddling with furry ones and reading. So relaxing, well, depending on the story line. 🙂

I didn’t finish my June Series Challenge in June, but am starting the last book in the series today and should finish by the end of the week. Learning so much during this re-read.

    Happy reading!

  18. Recently stocked up a ton books from my new library. I picked up Roseblood, A Court of Wings and Ruin, Heartless and The Hate U Give to name a few. I also have quite a few ARCs/review copies that have come in the mail. Can’t wait to get to them all.

  19. Looks like you got some good books and audios as well. Vacationing in Spain sounds wonderful to me. Have you ever been to Portugal? I’ve heard that’s beautiful as well. Always love your Freddy pictures! It’s super hot here in Maryland and we’ve been having lots of thunderstorms. Hope you are having a great week!
