The Sunday Post #149 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We drove back home from Spain on Tuesday, and my goodness, it’s a lot cooler in Geneva :O I know I was complaining about the heat, but a middle ground would have been nice! On Monday, we went jet-skiing, and I had so much fun. I want to do it again. It was fairly windy and there were lots of waves. It was really amazing. Also, the last few evenings, we went back to the beach at night, and went swimming under the full moon. Now, we have to wait until October before we can go back.

It’s nice to be back home, though. As now, I have all my kids under the same roof once more, and I’ll have time to see some friends to catch up before school start again.

  1. Glad you enjoyed the water and the waves before heading back home to a whole family.

Wow, Elle Kennedy’s series will be keeping you busy soon. I plan to read those at some point. Nice haul of review books this week. I need to check out that Renee Carlino.

    Have a great week, Lexxie!

  2. Ooh you had fun. I love the beach at night, and jet skiing. Fun times! You’re right though, it is always nice to come home. Hope you have a great week settling back in. 🙂

I like that cover for before I Let Go.

  3. Glad you had a lovely time in Spain! I actually wouldn’t mind a bit more heat, although I would have to be on a beach to fully enjoy it. August is not a very good month in UK, the weather is all over the place and you can definitely tell summer is ending.

I’m very intrigued by Before I Let Go, so I’ll have to check it out.

    • I can stand the heat up to a certain point, and really, near the beach is much better than here at home 🙂 It’s incredible how quickly the weather changed from too hot to really cool…
I can’t wait to read Before I Let Go, either, Fran 🙂

  4. It has been a bit chilly here the last two days which suits me fine! I’m happy to snuggle in bed watching tv and reading! Freddy looks like he gets plenty naps in-lucky him!

  5. Glad it sounds that you had a great time in the waves and on the jet ski. That sounds like so much fun! Freddie is seriously the cutest!! You got a lot of great sounding books. I hope you enjoy them and have a great weekend!

  6. Heehee! I love Freddy and his many moods! ;D

Nice new reads too! Totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

We did some moonlight swimming when we went to the beach in June and it was so fun – a very different swimming experience 🙂 I want to jet ski sometime, it’s been on my list of things to try for years! Glad you had fun. And I know it has to be good to be home with all the family under one roof, even if vacation was a great time. There’s really no place like home, right? Have a great week! When do you have to go back to work?

  8. I’d love to go to Spain! It sounds like you had a lovely time! 🙂 Freddy is SO cute!

Before I Let Go sounds quite good! It’s so weird seeing that one of the characters in the book has my name as I don’t often see my name in YA books haha!

    Enjoy your new books!
    My STS post!

  9. Freddy is SO cute. ?

You’re gonna love The Off Campus series. It’s a great NA. My favorites are The Deal and The Score but the others are great as well. Anyway, i’m planning to read Wish You Were Here. Sounds awesome! I’ll read your review first though.

Have a wonderful week and happy reading, my friend.

  10. LOVE Elle Kennedy Series! I need to read The Score. I loved the first book, she had me cracking up. She is one of my favorites.
Night swimming sounds amazing, I wish it would cool off a little here. It’s hot but not super hot. I am just not a summer girl and prefer the cooler weather. I am looking forward to cozy nights with open windows and gentle breezes! 🙂

You really tired that poor puppy out! He is such a cutie!

Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss your face lots and lots! oxoxox

  11. You haven’t read Elle Kennedy before??? Really??? Or are those for the book signing??? I love her stuff 🙂

I’m so happy for you having all the kiddies under your roof! YAY!! Have an awesome week and good luck acclimating to the weather (I don’t feel bad for your problems at all… Spain for the summer… grrrrrrr…. hot men on the beach… grrrrrr….)

    🙂

  12. Glad you had a wonderful holiday in Spain! Sounds amazing! Good luck with back to school 🙂 I only have a few more days before I have to report back to work.
    Enjoy your book haul!!
