The Sunday Post #153 – Weekend Wrap-up

COYER is over – and I have never done this well during this awesome challenge. I have read 92 books since we started in the middle of June, and most of those books were really good, so it’s a win-win for me. You can check which books I read for COYER here.

This week was short, as we had Thursday off, and I don’t teach on Fridays. I have prepared a ton of lesson plans, though, and need to get started on creating some tests, too. I have to calculate the first average grade for my students at the end of October.

It’s cooler here now, and so, the colors have changed a bit. No trees are turning red or yellow yet, but everything just looks crisper now that the heat is gone, you know? It’s wonderful, really, I love fall! And I sleep incredibly well with the cooler nights.

  1. Hey, fantastic total for COYER. I haven’t done my final count yet, but I definitely went past my goal of 45 books.
Sounds like things are going well with teaching.

Oh, a good ‘cry’ book and I do like Armentrout’s writing.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the cool sleeping weather. 🙂

    • It’s my best COYER ever, Sophia. And it’s also the first summer in seven years I didn’t have a paper to write for Uni, so that probably helped 🙂
I love Armentrout’s contemporary stories so much.
Have a great weekend yourself 🙂

  2. Ooh nice new reads! Totally new to me ones as well! Hope you enjoy them all!

Our weather is slowly starting to cool down and I am loving it! Hope you have a great week this coming week!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  3. Oh you make me want to read ‘If There is No Tomorrow’. I have a feeling that it is a huge tearjerker and oh AWESOME. I’m still building courage to read ‘God-Shaped Hole’. It’s SO scary. ? Anyway, looking forward to your review. ?

I hope you have a wonderful week filled with awesome reads. ❤️

  4. Well like normal, I totally failed at COYER. I am just so incapable of saying no to the ARC books, so my schedule gets packed with books that have a due date and my COYER reads get shoved back. Sigh.
I can’t wait for colder weather!! I love it!
Have a great week and congrats on kicking some COYER butt!

  5. Our grades are due in two weeks. It’s so great when you get a holiday! A three-day week sounds perfect. SUPER AMAZING COYER win! I think that’s more successful than all my COYERs put together. I didn’t participate this year. Good luck with your test planning. I hope you have a great week!

  6. It’s been cooler here too, especially at night, and it’s awesome. Great sleeping weather. And 92 books?? Wow that’s awesome. COYER was a lot of fun this summer, for sure.

  7. We had some cooler weather too. The sky is so clear and blue right now. And no humidity. Enjoying it while it lasts! Freddy has the right idea there. Just chillin:) Isn’t it almost time to pick up your new puppy?

    My Sunday Post

  8. Where did the week go?? I feel like I just commented on your last post! Although that’s probably cause I made my rounds late last week 😀 but still! Time flies.

9…2 books. HOW. DO. YOU. DO. THAT. I am so impressed. I guess it’s a good thing to have a vacation! Congratulations on basically KILLING your challenge! Super awesome.

No trees are turning colorful here yet either. But I can’t wait! I absolutely love autumn.

    Freddy is adoooooorable.

Have a great reading week 🙂

  9. The last two days I have been IN LOVE with the weather! This is my time now! 🙂 Freddy is so cute, I can’t wait to see pictures of his brother. I am so excited that you are getting a new dog. I haven’t been around to comment about it until now!

Enjoy all those GORGEOUS COVERS! and Have fun at the book event! I am loving the pictures of all the books you have gotten!

I miss you lots and lots! Have a great week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! oxoxox

  10. Wow…If There’s No Tomorrow was that emotional huh? I’ll have to be sure I am in the right mood if I pick that one up!

    PS. Freddy is soooo cute!

  11. I just watched the making of the cover for If There’s No Tomorrow. Sounds like I may need truffles if I read it. Our temps are cooler in the am, and 80’s still so I am delighted. Hope the week ahead is a good one!

  12. Great job reading 92 books! I’ll have to do COYER the next time around to get myself more motivated.
I don’t mind the cooler temperatures; it’s just weird for this time of year. I think it’s just cooler right now because of the hurricanes. We’re not in their path, but I think we’re getting different weather because of them.

  13. I’ve been a bit MIA from a vacation and recovering from being gone for said vacation. I did get a lot of reading done. I still have some reviews to write, but I’ve gotten a few written. Glad to hear that you’ve had a good week. Enjoy your cooler weather. We are having the same here. 🙂

  14. When a teacher, there always seems to be more work to do even when you’re ahead of the game! A lot of people have been receiving the latest JLA book and I am curious to start hearing what people think of it.
