Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #214

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

ARCs Recieved - (un)Conventional Bookviews - Bought Borrowed and Bagged Stacking the Shelves

Thank you Loveswept, St. Martin’s Press, and NetGalley!!

I’m so excited about both Reed and Final Siege. Both are set in romance series I love, but are very different. I can hardly wait to get started 🙂

Thank you Viviana @ Enchantress Designs and Promo! I’m participating in a blogtour for this title, and I absolutely love Ms. Lain’s stories.

The three books above were free with different authors’ newsletters last week, and free books are absolutely impossible to resist, right? The Sunday Post - (un)Conventional Bookviews

The Sunday Post #164 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week was a bit busy, too, with long days because of meetings. But it was also a week where I had some fun! On Thursday night, I went out for dinner and a few beers with a friend from Uni, whom I hadn’t seen in a while. On Friday, I went for lunch with another friend, and it was nice to catch up with both of them.

The weather has been spectacular this week, blue skies, sunny and bright. It’s just so nice to see the sun in November, as that’s not really usual here.

For next week, I’ve tried my hand at shorter reviews… Not sure if I made it, but at least I tried, and I got some reviews written for books I read a few months ago.

  1. Oh very nice haul. I’m so far behind on Sawyer Bennet’s series, but I like them. Oh neat, Tara Lain got cool new covers for her series. Hmm, I think I read and liked a book by Tijuan.

    Fun to see old friends from school. I got to visit with some friends this week, too.

    Have a great week, Lexxie!

  2. I’ve never read a John Green but I think I do want to read Turtles All the Way Down. It looks good. And Freddy seems to like it. 🙂

    Glad you got some sun! We got a few peeks of it here too, just in time for Thanksgiving. Have a super weekend!

  3. You have such a great haul this week. I’ve have a bunch of Tijan books on my Kindle and I just need to find time to read them. It’s always great to catch up with old friends. Enjoy the weather. It’s been 70’s in Colorado, snow in a couple of days… burr. Cute puppies in action this week. 🙂

    • I’ve wanted to read Tijan for a long time, I’ve just not gotten around to one of her books…
      We’re supposed to get snow today or tomorrow, so winter is definitely here. I do enjoy having some sun, though, as Geneva is very often just fog during the winter.

    • Snow Balls was really good, Evelina. I love Tara Lain, her stories are LGBTQ+, and while the tone is fairly light hearted, there are some themes that are taken on very strongly when it comes to discrimination as well.
      Hercules is becoming really big. He’ll be much bigger than Freddy when he’s full-grown.

  4. Sounds like you had a busy but fun week. I hope this week will have less late meetings for you. 😉
    Those new books look great Lexxie. I love the look of ‘Snow Balls’. I definitely need to check that one out.
    Wow.. Hercules has really gotten big. Your dogs look so cute.
    Have a great week and happy reading.

  5. What a great week! I love catching up with old friends. I don’t ever seem to see mine anymore. I have a goddaughter and I haven’t seen her since she was one. It’s hard when you grow up and go on to live your lives. So good to catch up!

    Sounds like a nice week, getting to meet up with friends. Hercules has gotten so big! He’s almost Freddy sized 🙂 They seem to get along, which is great. Have a great week- Miss you! {HUGS}

  7. I’m glad you had some fun mixed in with all the busy-ness, wifey! I’m envious of a few of the books you snagged last week. 😉 And the puppies! They’re so adorable. Some day I’m going to get to meet them. 🙂
    Miss you!!! {{{big hugs & love}}}

  8. It’s great to get new books in series you already love! And free books are hard to resist indeed! That sounds nice you got to catch up with two friend from uni this week. Yours dogs look adorable! Hercules sure has grown a lot! Have a great week!
