Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #214
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you Loveswept, St. Martin’s Press, and NetGalley!!
I’m so excited about both Reed and Final Siege. Both are set in romance series I love, but are very different. I can hardly wait to get started 🙂
Thank you Viviana @ Enchantress Designs and Promo! I’m participating in a blogtour for this title, and I absolutely love Ms. Lain’s stories.
The three books above were free with different authors’ newsletters last week, and free books are absolutely impossible to resist, right?
The Sunday Post #164 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
This week was a bit busy, too, with long days because of meetings. But it was also a week where I had some fun! On Thursday night, I went out for dinner and a few beers with a friend from Uni, whom I hadn’t seen in a while. On Friday, I went for lunch with another friend, and it was nice to catch up with both of them.
The weather has been spectacular this week, blue skies, sunny and bright. It’s just so nice to see the sun in November, as that’s not really usual here.
For next week, I’ve tried my hand at shorter reviews… Not sure if I made it, but at least I tried, and I got some reviews written for books I read a few months ago.

Cait @ Paper Fury has a great post about Tropes. Are They Always Bad?
Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Oh very nice haul. I’m so far behind on Sawyer Bennet’s series, but I like them. Oh neat, Tara Lain got cool new covers for her series. Hmm, I think I read and liked a book by Tijuan.
Fun to see old friends from school. I got to visit with some friends this week, too.
Have a great week, Lexxie!
I love the Cold Fury Hockey guys – and their ladies 🙂 Lain’s new covers are gorgeous! I want them all on my shelves 🙂

Lexie, I think you have a thing for men on covers ? and oh my goodness Freddy is so big!!! And still do cute and handsome.
Genesis Latte Nights Reviews
Ha! That’s romance novels for you, Gen! It’s so nice to see your face!!
OOh nice haul!! Some totally new to me reads there but I hope you enjoy them all!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
They do look pretty good, and I’m such a sucker for free books. I’ll definitely stop by tomorrow, Jessica 🙂
Awesome stack of books. I hope you enjoy all of your new books.
Grace @ Books of Love
Thanks Grace 🙂

I really want to be better at writing shorter reviews, but I never seem to manage it. I’m glad to you got to catch up with old friends. That is always so much fun.
Yeah, I’m not sure I actually managed to make my reviews shorter, Melanie. I always feel like I have so much to say 😀
I grabbed so many of the freebies in author’s newsletters this week too. I loved Carter Reed! Glad you are able to enjoy the sun!
It just can’t be done any other way, now, can it?
Great books! I like Freddy’s pick for reading this week. Enjoy!
Thanks Laurel-Rain. I like Freddy’s pick, too 😉
I’ve never read a John Green but I think I do want to read Turtles All the Way Down. It looks good. And Freddy seems to like it. 🙂
Glad you got some sun! We got a few peeks of it here too, just in time for Thanksgiving. Have a super weekend!
I have read one of his books before, Greg, and I think Turtles All the Way Down looks good, too.
Thanks for stopping by.
Lots of good looking books to keep you busy. Glad you were able to spend some time with friends. The pups are adorable as always!
Yeah, getting (more than) enough books is never a problem, Barb 😉
Glad you got to have some fun this week! Love the pic of Freddy with Turtles!
🙂 he makes the book look even better, don’t you think?
You have such a great haul this week. I’ve have a bunch of Tijan books on my Kindle and I just need to find time to read them. It’s always great to catch up with old friends. Enjoy the weather. It’s been 70’s in Colorado, snow in a couple of days… burr. Cute puppies in action this week. 🙂
I’ve wanted to read Tijan for a long time, I’ve just not gotten around to one of her books…
We’re supposed to get snow today or tomorrow, so winter is definitely here. I do enjoy having some sun, though, as Geneva is very often just fog during the winter.
Turtles is on my wish list. Several friends are recommending it. Sounds like a fun week for you. And the pups look like they’re having fun too! I always love the pics you share:)
My Sunday Post
I’ve heard good things about Turtles, too, Laura. I hope we’ll both enjoy it.

Well, Snow Balls sure looks different 🙂 and Hercules has grown so much! Time flies.
I hope you have a great week 🙂
Snow Balls was really good, Evelina. I love Tara Lain, her stories are LGBTQ+, and while the tone is fairly light hearted, there are some themes that are taken on very strongly when it comes to discrimination as well.
Hercules is becoming really big. He’ll be much bigger than Freddy when he’s full-grown.
Sounds like you had a busy but fun week. I hope this week will have less late meetings for you. 😉
Those new books look great Lexxie. I love the look of ‘Snow Balls’. I definitely need to check that one out.
Wow.. Hercules has really gotten big. Your dogs look so cute.
Have a great week and happy reading.
There are no late meetings this week, nor any other kinds of meetings, so that’s really nice. I’ll have a more quiet week, which is much needed!
What a great week! I love catching up with old friends. I don’t ever seem to see mine anymore. I have a goddaughter and I haven’t seen her since she was one. It’s hard when you grow up and go on to live your lives. So good to catch up!
I don’t see my friends nearly enough, Charlie! We’re all just so busy, and not necessarily at the same time…
Glad you got some books you’re excited for! And that’s great you got to catch up with old friends 🙂 Ooh that is great weather! Have a great week 🙂
Great weather just makes me so happy! It’s like the sun shares a lot of its energy with me (which it does – but I really feel it!)
Glad to hear that you had a chance to socialise and enjoy the lovely sunny weather. We, too, are enjoying days of bright sunshine which makes the winter so much more bearable:). Love the pics of the dogs! I hope you have a great week, Lexxie. My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/11/26/sunday-post-26th-november-2017/
Sun makes everything more bearable 😉 Thanks for stopping by Sarah!
The weather here has been really warm, too. It’s definitely unusual, but I’m not complaining. I don’t like shoveling snow. Have a great week!
It’s not exactly warm here, but it is sunny. And I’ll take that in late November, as it’s very unusual 🙂
Awe the cutties looked like they were having fun. And yeah how do you say no to free books!
It’s just impossible to say no to free books. I don’t have it in me, at least 🙂
Catching up with friends is the best isn’t it, especially if the sun is shining 🙂

Sounds like a nice week, getting to meet up with friends. Hercules has gotten so big! He’s almost Freddy sized 🙂 They seem to get along, which is great. Have a great week- Miss you! {HUGS}
Hercules and Freddy are both so cute, Lexxie! You know as soon as I saw Reed here I logging into NetGalley to see how I missed it. Unfortunately, I can’t even see it but hopefully it will show up for me soon. Enjoy all of your new books!
I’m glad you had some fun mixed in with all the busy-ness, wifey! I’m envious of a few of the books you snagged last week. 😉 And the puppies! They’re so adorable. Some day I’m going to get to meet them. 🙂
Miss you!!! {{{big hugs & love}}}
It’s great to get new books in series you already love! And free books are hard to resist indeed! That sounds nice you got to catch up with two friend from uni this week. Yours dogs look adorable! Hercules sure has grown a lot! Have a great week!
