Posted 23 December, 2017 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 50 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

The Sunday Post #168 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I finished grading all my tests! Which means I’m on vacation until school starts again on January 8th next year. Can you see me happy-dancing here? This weekend is our family Christmas weekend, and on the 26th, Mr. Lex and I are traveling. All on our lonesome – as a couple. And we’re traveling far – as we’re going half way across the world to Hawaii. It’s been our dream to go to Hawaii ever since we started dating (which is a VERY long time ago!), as Mr. Lex had been before we met. And finally, it’s becoming reality! If you want to see pictures from there, please find my other IG account LindaSwissMiss.

I won’t be online much in the coming week, but I do have stuff planned here 🙂 There won’t be any Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts posts, nor Safe and Sexy posts until I’m back home, however. I have posts about various favorites for 2017, books, authors, travels and more, so while I might not be able to comment back immediately, I will definitely get back to you if you leave me a comment while I’m gone 😉

  1. Ooh Hawaii should be fun! Oddly, I’m not really a beach person myself. I don’t like sand so much–lol–it’s all itchy like when it sticks to your toes, I never swim in the ocean since I grew up watching Jaws. Just no way, uh huh, not happening! Not a big fan of heat and I guess I always associate tropical island type places as being hot. But that’s just me and my weird eccentricities! I hope you both have a marvelous time!!

Nice new reads too! Some totally new to me ones that I am not familiar with. I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. Oh, enjoy your trip to Hawaii! I’ve never been, either, even though my oldest brother spent a year there teaching in the 1970s.

Have a great holiday season…and savor those books. I am curious about Murder Notes.

    The puppies look very cozy.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. Oh have a wonderful time in Hawaii!! What a beautiful time to go-when its cold and snowy everywhere else! Glad you got your grading completed. I’m jealous you are on break until January 8th. We go back January 3rd! Safe Travels!

  4. Oh cool, you get to travel just the two of you 🙂 that’s great. And so far too! (Bet you’ll bring back books :DD)
I’ve never been to Hawaii, and I don’t think I will ever go (too far, too expensive!) But I sure would like to see pics from there 🙂
    Have a wonderful vacation!!

  5. Such a long vacation. I envy you! I am going back to work on Wednesday :(.

This week I got my Secret Santa book (a book by Patrick Modiano) and finished my Christmas shopping!

Have a great vacation and happy holidays!

  6. I hope you enjoy your new books. I haven’t heard of any of them before, but the cover of The Immortalists is gorgeous.

Yay! Time for some deserving vacation. I hope you enjoy your stay in Hawaii. It’s such a beautiful place – not that I’ve been there before, but I’ve seen photos and it’s such a magical place.

    Merry Christmas!

  7. YAY! Congratulations for being able to really get all of that grading done! Now it’s time to kick off your teacher shoes and really relax and enjoy the rest of the holiday. You’ve totally earned it 😉 And HAWAII? That’s SO amazing! Especially if you’ve both wanted to go for so long. I hope you enjoy your time together 🙂

  8. Merry Christmas!!! And enjoy Hawaii- sounds fabulous! And a great time to go too- get away from the cold. 🙂

Nice to see that the dogs seem to have hit it off so well!
