The Sunday Post # – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week felt so very long – partly, I think – because next week is winter break. I really need a breather. We’ve had so many meetings, and to have a quiet week will do me good. Plus, my husband is off to Montreal for the PeeWee tournament the whole week, and three of my children are going to Norway to see my mom and sister. So I won’t have to do much – nor leave the house – if I don’t want to. Doesn’t that sound like heaven?

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Hercules and Freddy were OK with photos again this week. And here, it looks like they are models 😀
Hercules wasn’t in great shape on Thursday afternoon, as he had surgery in the morning. Nothing big, he was castrated… but poor thing, he was all groggy and sad.
Freddy spent quite a bit of time in his travel bag on top of the foodbox while Hercules was away. He was all sad, too…

  1. Hope you have a great week, nice and relaxing! And cute pics- the dogs look like they are enjoying the attention. 🙂

    The Last Girl looks intriguing!

  2. I find the time right before a work vacation or a trip I’m anticipating just drags by, too. Looks like you have some nice quiet plans for your school break. And, look at that fun stack of books you got just in time. I’ve been meaning to try that Kate Meader series. Hope its good.

Oh, poor Hercules. Hope he feels better from his surgery. That’s sweet how Freddy missed him.

    Enjoy your weekend, Lexxie!

    • I agree! Between the anticipation of having time off, and wanting it to be there already it’s pretty hard that last week. Now, though, I’m just enjoying the time off already.
Hercules was back to his normal self yesterday, and he’s doing really well. Freddy is happy to have his ‘little’ brother back home, too. He seemed so lost without him.

  3. OOh nice new reads! Totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!

The puppies are still soooo cute! Glad to hear things are going well with you too!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  4. Fabulous looking books! 🙂 I like the look of Silent Victim. I’m just starting a week’s break which feels much needed… I do have reports to write but ah well! 🙂 Have a good break!

  5. I’m glad you’ll get a reprieve! The breaks are much needed for teachers. Enjoy your days home – or out if you want to! Freddy looks so sad without Hercules!

  6. oh poor Hercules! I hope he feels better now 🙁 Omg that DOES sound like heaven Lexx ! would Hercules and Freddy be with you though, They are so adorable I can’t even! really cute models indeed.

    • Hercules is back to his normal self again, thank goodness! I felt so bad for him, but at the same time, I didn’t want him to go crazy and try to leave the yard later on if he wasn’t castrated.
Already, the house is so nice and quiet. I love it!

  7. I am practically drooling over your new books! They all sound so good. Your upcoming week sounds divine, Lexxie! I hope you enjoy your winter break. I have Monday off from work (it’s a holiday for the government, but not for the schools), and I am looking forward to having the day to myself. I have a lot to do–but it will be all mine. Such cuties you have there! I hope Hercules is feeling better after his surgery. Have a great week, Lexxie!

    • Having the Monday off sounds nice, too, it’s an extra day to the weekend. I’m pretty sure I’m going to love my week. The dogs and I will be happy in the quiet house for sure.
Thanks! I can’t wait to read these books – already devoured Hooked On You and Disturbing His Peace, and I loved them.

  8. Poor Hercules! How adorable that Freddy missed him!!! Hercules is so much bigger than Freddy, they are so adorable, those faces! 🙂

I am so jealous of your week, we always have people coming and going in this house. I am never alone. Enjoy your week of heaven! <3

I hope you this week is awesome for you! Happy Reading! I miss your face! Don't forget to send me the dates so I can figure out when we can get together! 🙂

    • Yes, it was adorable indeed, Michelle. And he was so happy when Hercules came back home, even if he didn’t understand why he was so quiet.
Usually, our house is really busy too, and it’s going to be so very nice to have a week to myself with only the dogs and my oldest son at home.
I’ll e-mail you today to let you know my dates and times, my dear <3

  9. Quiet time home alone sounds great, enjoy it! The books look good, especially Disturbing His Peace. Hercules and Freddy are too cute, I hope he is feeling better. Enjoy your week!

    • Disturbing His Peace was totally awesome! I loved this final story in the series 🙂 My review won’t post for a while, though, as the release is in May.
I’m very happy with my quiet week, it just feels nice to not have to leave the house if I don’t want to 😀 Plus, I have the dogs to keep me company.

  10. I also have half term coming up and am looking forward to tucking into some writing and editing… Poor Hercules – I hope he feels better, but it certainly looks as through they have fully bonded if Freddy was also upset at his absence. Enjoy your break!

    • Spending our time differently is such a treat, isn’t it, Sarah? I hope your break will be a good one with the things you plan to do.
It made me so happy to see how Freddy acted without Hercules in the house, because yes, it does mean they have bonded. And they are so cute when they’re together.

  11. I love that your dogs are such good buddies. So cute together. What’s a pee wee tournament? Baseball?Just curious if it’s the same as here. Looks like you got some new good books! Enjoy!

    • I love that they get along so well, too. It would be hell if they didn’t!

PeeWee tournament is ice hockey, and the team is with young boys who are 12 years old. It’s a huge deal in hockey, and they were so excited to go all the way to Canada from Switzerland 🙂 It’s the third year my husband coaches a team, but he was excited to go, too.

  12. I’m jealous of your winter break. I wish I had one too – however, I do have my Tuesday (tomorrow) free since it’s Carnaval where I live.

Also, to be all by yourself and not have to go out does sound like haven to me. 😉

I hope you have the chance to read wonderful books.
    Happy readings!

  13. Having the whole house to yourself is really going to be something glorious! A bit of me time is always appreciated and I hope you can enjoy doing whatever you want to 🙂

  14. Hi!
The boys are adorable. So sad Freddie missed his buddy while Hercules was away. A very nice travel carrier.

Ah, alone time. What to do? 🙂 Are you watching any of the Olympics? Norway is doing really well. Congratulations!
