Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

The Sunday Post #178 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

The snow has melted. We even had a couple of sunny days this week! And it’s light out when I leave for work in the morning – which is something that really changes my energy levels throughout the day.

On Friday, my youngest daughter (she’s in middle school) had a ‘discovering work’ day, and stayed the whole day at work with her oldest brother. He works at the main hospital here, so since I brought my daughter, I went ahead and donated blood for the first time in a while.

  1. I love it when the sun peeps out after days of clouds. Our time change hits this Sunday and it will be nice going to work in the light and coming home in the light with a few hours of it.

Very nice haul. I got Burned Bright, too. And, I think I might have the freebie from your series. Good to know you liked book four.

Fun for your daughter to visit your son’s work. And look at you, giving blood. 🙂
    Handsome pups this week!

  2. Hi there, Lexxie!
I got Rainy Day Friends as well, plus the novella that’s coming out before it. I’m so looking forward to those!
I’m so happy that you loved Juliette Poe/Sawyer Bennett. She writes some great stories! I have yet to read this series but I have the first one – I hope at some point I’ll get around reading them.

    Nice haul this week!
Oh and yes! The weather is finally getting better, thank God!

  3. Ahh !! omg thank you for the features, again !! ?

Yay for donating blood, I haven’t yet .. mostly as I wasn’t the weight needed for my height, but now that I do, I need to wait a few months as I went and got a new piercing, bummer.

awww ain’t Hercules’ picture just the cutest ? Lucky you got some sun .. we got more snow ?15/20cms yesterday, a few cms today, and apparently ANOTHEr snow storm on tuesday. isn’t supposed to be spring, yet? x) it’s cute early december, but let me tell you it gets boring quickly. Atleast it hasn’t been very cold along with our snowing.. so that’s alright ..

  4. Restore Me and Burn Bright both look awesome. I’ve seen a few good reviews for Burn bright already. And yay for snow melting! Ours has partly melted and I’m waiting for the rest to take a hike. 🙂

Hercules and Freddy look good as always! Have a super weekend.

  5. I like the covers of the Juliette Poe books, they really stand out. I’m glad the sun has come out too, I wasn’t enjoying the snow very much.

  6. Eve

Oh wow lots of goodies happening here. Love it when you read something and love it then have to go buy more haha! All the time. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Shatter Me book I’m curious to see where it will go!

  7. It was a sunny day here today, but it’s only been 4 days since we had a covering snowfall. Supposedly more coming Monday. Our February was so nice and March has been what February usually is! Freddy’s picture didn’t show up for me, but Hercules is looking good! Enjoy your book haul and hope you have a good week!

  8. The Sex and Sweet Tea novels look very cute and I love the covers.
Those puppies are super adorable! I just love them!
We changed our clocks and as much as I like the brighter morning, I am not a fan of it being light outside when it’s 8. Makes the kids think it’s still early. 🙂

Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you! and Happy Reading! ox

  9. The sun was in and out Saturday so I did some yard work and a little bit of touch up painting on my front porch. It’s saying rain later today so I’m heading out to do some weeding now. Those Poe books have such lovely covers. Hard to resist them. LOL Hercules really does look like he’s smiling. And Freddy looks so serious. LOL

  10. We’ve had a pretty moderate week with weather. The Sex and Sweet Tea series looks so good! I’ll have to check it out.

  11. You bought some really nice and summery looking books 🙂 unfortunately, the winter is still going strong here. We still have snow… gah. I miss sunlight! Yeah, it definitely does wonders for the energy levels… there have been a few sunny days, so at least if you look away from the window, you can pretend the snow is not there 😀

  12. Yay for better weather! We just had the time change here, so it WAS starting to get light out when I went to work, but now it will be dark again for another 5-6 weeks. Blah.
So, you seem to really love JA Huss. I haven’t read any of her books. Where is a good place to start?!?

    • LOL, I absolutely love JA Huss! Her gritty NA series Rook and Ronin is where I started, and then I read every book as she released them. I have gone back to start her very first series, Junco, which is science fiction, and very good too.

  13. The time changed here so we should start getting lighter evenings, which I’m excited about it. When it gets dark early, I just get tired quicker. Yay for all the fun books you got this week! And your dogs are too handsome, as usual.

    • We’re changing the time to summer time next weekend. I do enjoy the lighter evenings, because like you, I get tired when it gets dark… However, it’s been so nice to leave the house with the sun already up. I’m going to miss that!

  14. Looking forward to the new Jill Shalvis book. We were treated to a couple of days of sun, but more snow it on the way. Have a great week.

  15. Our snow is almost all melted as well although it’s the snow that’s been around for quite awhile since we haven’t had *any* lately. 🙁 I’m glad you had such a good week and I hope this week is going well, too, even if you’re busy grading tests that make you feel like your students need their hearing checked. ;)I’m envious you got Gaslight and Restore Me AND Memphis. 😉 I hope they’re all fantastic!
    *smooches* & {{{big hugs}}}

    • We’re actually supposed to get snow again on Monday. I have no idea what is wrong with the weather… I am so ready for warmer weather!

I have already read Gaslight… but I can’t wait to listen to it, as well. And Restore Me killed me, wifey! I needed someone to hold me afterwards.

      *smooches* right back at you!
