Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #231
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley!
The Sunday Post #281 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
We had a short week, work / school only on Monday and Tuesday, plus Wednesday morning. As soon as I came back from work, we loaded up the car and drove to Spain. It’s so nice to be on spring-break by the beach! The weather is quite cool, but it’s sunny. And we’re on vacation. And we can just relax.
Our internet connection doesn’t work, so I’m writing this post using the 4G connection on my phone. Which means I have a lot of trouble uploading puppy pictures. However, you can check out Freddy’s instagram account 😉 I was able to upload some pictures there.

I haven’t blogged at all this past week, and I haven’t really visited any blogs, either. Sorry about that. I read a whole lot of amazing books, though, so there is that 🙂
Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Hitting the beach!!! Have a good time particularly with your fun haul of books here. I got a stack of audio review books that are just in time for some outdoor garden prep work I want to do after the holiday.
Happy Easter!
Yeah, both the beach and the break are good for my soul these days, Sophia!
I hope you’ll have nice enough weather to do all the work in your garden you want to do. And that those new audiobooks will be good.
Ooh enjoy spring break by the beach! Spain sounds awesome. Hopefully you’ll get nice weather too!
Dash and Lily’s is one I want to read.
Dash and Lily was free on kindle last week, Greg. I guess I should have started with that, yeah?
Enjoy your spring break! I read Dsah and Lily’s Book of Dares…it was alright I just didn’t love it as much as I would have liked. Hopefully it’s more enjoyable for you 🙂
Thanks Chloe. I’m glad to know I should not have too high expectations for Dash and Lily 🙂 Sometimes, that’s how I find some of my favorite reads.
Anytime at the beach is awesome, even if it’s a bit nippy. Sucks your internet is broke but I say it’s just a message that you have to read more!!! Have a nice relaxing holiday!!! 🙂
I agree! The beach is always one of my favorite places to be, Kristin 🙂 The smells, the atmosphere, the good seafood 😉 It’s all good!
Sounds like a nice vacation break! Hope you enjoy all your new reads! They’re all new to me ones! Happy Reading!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It’s so nice! And it’s even better because I don’t have to work at all during this break. No grading, no class preparations 🙂

Glad you’re having a great week with so much time off. I think time to relax really resets the brain.
It sure does, Melanie! Relaxing, taking naps, hanging out with family, reading. It’s all balm for the soul!
How lovely to be spending the Easter break in Spain – have a lovely holiday, Lexxie:)
Thank you Sarah!

lord of temptation needs a wardrobe makeover. He’s a lord not a vampire
Happy Easter
LOL! But that wardrobe was kind of something lords did wear way back when – isn’t that partly why some vampires wear those kinds of clothes still?
I love that If At First cover ! Beautifully weird and quirky!
We just returned from winter in Spain – so much sunnier 🙂
I agree! And I can’t remember who recommended that book to me, but I just kind of had to get it 🙂
Where in Spain did you spend winter? we have an apartment north of Barcelona, on the Costa Brava. I love it here!
We caravanned so moving around Catalonia and beyond. The furthest south was Mazarron bay.
I haven’t been to Barcelona in ages. Fab city!
Oh nice! We’re in Catalonia, too 🙂 The small village we’re in is called l’Estartit, it’s a little bit south of Escala 🙂
It sounds like you had a great time!
Yes, we know l’Estartit 🙂 The Les Medes campsite flooded in December and trapped us on our pitch for a day!
Lovely coastline there
Oh wow! I heard they even got a tiny bit of snow here in the beginning of March 🙂 We love it here! it’s beautiful, and the people who live her all year are so friendly!
I’d like to read Geekerella. It’s been on my watch list for sometime… Will be interested in what you think!
Enjoy the rest of your holidays!
It was on my watch list, too, Nicci, and it suddenly appeared as ‘read now’ on NetGalley, so I was unable to resist 🙂
Enjoy your break!! I have enjoyed seeing the puppy pictures on IG. Looks like they are enjoying Spain as well!
They are definitely enjoying Spain! Long walks on the beach, and even more time with their humans than usual 🙂 Plus, one of the bedroom doors doesn’t close, so they’ve been sleeping with us 😀 Very happy puppies indeed.
Busy Week! Eak nothing like writing your post with wifi from you phone 😀 that must be frustrating. Hope you have a great week, glad to hear you had some amazing reads.
Enjoy your vacation. It sounds absolutely amazing!
Not for nothing…What a FANTASTIC title for a book – Things I’d Rather Do Than Die…Like, I can think of a trillion…Got my attention! Have a great week!
Mary my #SundayRoundup #12!
I agree! I’d do a trillion things that I’d rather do than die, too, Mary 😀 And I sure hope I’ll be around for a very long time still.
Aw, hope you have tons of fun at the beach! And reading good books is great whether you’re blogging about them or not. Just happy to hear that your absence is thanks to having a good time instead of the alternative 🙂 Have a great week!
Oh, I agree! Reading is definitely my first love, but I have such a huge backlog of reviews to write now. I may just have to do my unconventionally short ones for at least some of them.
Thanks, JJ 🙂 I tend to be a bit worried if bloggers ‘disappear’, so I try to at least stay up to date on social media so everybody knows I’m OK.
some interesting books for yu there!
Yes, I love adding books that are a bit different these days 🙂
I Have Lost My Way looks like one for me. Enjoy! Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
You should definitely pick it up, Laurel-Rain, it was awesome!
Oh my.. Spain sounds great with this cold wet weather. I hope you’re having a great time! 😉
I can’t wait to read ‘I Have Lost My Way’ too. I love Gayle Forman.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Spain was very nice, Maureen, even if it was fairly cool, we did have sun, and of course, the kids went in the sea every day.
I hope you’ll enjoy I Have Lost My Way as much as I did!
If at First has such a creepy cover! D:
I agree 🙂 It does. I hope the story will be nice and creepy, too.
Enjoy your vacation! I’m glad you got to read some amazing books. Have a great week!
Thanks Aj, it has been awesome, and I’ve read so much!

You are right. The Count would approve.
😉
Sounds like an enjoyable spring break! You picked up some great books this week. I am reading I Have Lost My Way now and I am enjoying it. Have a great week, Lexxie!
Yeah, it has been very good, Carole 🙂 It was also needed to have some quiet times away from work 😀
Enjoy disconnecint and your time in Spain, Lexxie! I’m sure you’ll have some great pictures to share:)
It was so nice, Laura. Both to be off from work, and away by the sea 🙂

That’s so nice that you’re on vacation! I would love to be on the beach right now 🙂 and I’ve got to follow Freddy’s account for sure! Have a lovely stay in Spain 🙂
Vacation times are good times, Evelina, that’s for sure 🙂 And I’m lucky to have quite a lot of it.
Freddy was happy to see he got a new follower last week 😉
The beach! I would love to be there too. Easter vacation is always good. Time to relax and enjoy some quality time. Have fun guys.
Best wishes

I love the beach! And we had a nice week in Spain before going for a quick trip to Norway 😀 I feel like a jet-setter these days 😀
Enjoy the beach! Happy reading!
Thanks, Xyra 🙂
Ah…the beach is so relaxing!
I thought Geekerella was super cute – hope you like it.
Karen @ For What It’s Worth
The beach is one of my favorite places to be, Karen. It is relaxing, and I love the smell of the sea. Plus, I sleep so much better when I’m there 🙂
Hooray for Freddy having his own insta! How cute.
You’ll have to let me know how Geekerella is, I’m somewhatg intrigued by it
He does need his own Insta… even if it isn’t updated every day 😀 Hercules has his, too, but one of my kids moderates his.
I look forward to reading Geekerella, and I’ll definitely let you know, Lauren 🙂
Spring Break in Spain sounds fabulous. Enjoy your break 🙂
It was very nice, Jovita. We had some really nice weather, plus, there’s so much good food.
I’ve done a complete turn now, though, as I’m currently up north in Norway to meet my niece 🙂
I AM JEALOUS OF EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR ARCs, WIFEY!! 😉 I hope you love them all! Sorry I’m so behind on commenting but I’ve been busy…and have read a few great books. 😉
Miss you and love you!! {{{BIG HUGS}}}
Binge-commenting is all good, wifey! I know you’ve been busy, and I have, too. Miss you, too, and love you {{{big hugs}}}

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares sounds like the kind of book you read while cozied up with a warm blanket and a hot cuppa. ☺
I agree, Faith. It looks really good! Hopefully, I won’t need a warm blanket anymore, though.
