Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #243
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
I’ve already read both of these, and I just love the pure girl power included in this series! Women take the front seat, and they do what they want – plus, they also do their very best to support other women.
I got this because Nick @ The Infinite Limits of Love told me this series is the best romantic suspense she’s read.
The Sunday Post #193 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Brandee and I announced everywhere that we’re getting married 🙂 The official date for our two blogs merging is Wednesday, August 15th. Our new URL is www.unconventionalbookworms.com and we’re very excited about our merge. There will be several giveaways on the blog starting next week. Some of our prizes are signed books, and each giveaway will have one book for US readers and one for international readers 🙂
We finally got some rain, and the temperature lowered enough so that we can sleep at night and breathe during the day. That just makes life so much better! Also, I had to do my little rain appreciation in the backyard the other evening 😉
It rained for almost two days, but now the sun is back out, only she’s not baking us while giving us light.
This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Very happy for you both! Looking forward to seeing the new blog!
We can’t seem to stop getting rain, my poor veggies are so water logged. It’s either humid stuffy hot or thunderstorms. Those puppies are adorable!
Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you! oxox
Thank you Michelle! <3 We’re really happy too. Some of the changes have already been made here - as we’ll point the new URL through my blog.
We only got about a day and a half of rain, but the temps moved from 94 to 78-80, so I’m happy. Now, the sun is out again, but it’s not scalding.
Have a great week yourself!! I miss you lots. Xoxo

How exciting Lexxie to be merging with another blog 🙂 It truly takes a bit of pressure too. Most that aren’t bloggers themselves don’t realise the effort it takes to run a blog.
So nice of you to think of your International readers in your blog giveaways; thank you!
Have a wonderful week!
Angelica @ Paperback Princess
It is very exciting! And I think it’s going to work really well for both of us, Angelica 🙂
Of course we’ll have international giveaways – I live in Switzerland, so I am also frustrated when giveaways are US / Canada only. We need to share the love!
You’re wanting rain and I want it to stop. Seriously my grass is crazy high because of rain but all of my days off it rains so how do you cut it???? Enjoy the rain, books, and pups!
I don’t want rain, even if the other night, I was very happy about it. It’s been so hot here, with no rain for weeks. But this one thunder / rain storm made the temp so much nicer 🙂
Ooooh so excited that you’re merging your blog with Brandee! Congrats! 😀
We also finally got rain here in Belgium and lower temp, although I was sweating on my way back from the grocery store today but at least it isn’t over 30° anymore. Thank god! It’s much better for all the animals. I was worried my new bunny would be too hot so hopefully it stays down from now on.
Thank you Stephanie! We’re very excited about this new blogging venture 🙂
Our temps are down to 27-28, and it is just so incredibly nice! Plus, it gets pretty cool at night, which is a huge bonus. I can sleep again!
I’m excited to see what happens here with the merge. Congrats to both of you! The pups look like they are worshiping the sun too. LOL We had rain all week but the sun is shining this morning and I’m heading out to enjoy the pool for a bit.
We’re really excited too, Laura! It’s going to be so nice to have a place to hang out together, even if it’s only virtual 😀
The dogs enjoy the sun now that it isn’t so hot.
I still wish I had a pool, though 😉
Enjoy the new books! I need to read more of Chuck Wendig’s stuff. I do enjoy his twitter, heh.
LOL I love his Twitter, too. And the series this book is in was off to a great start. Sadly, he’s not sure there will be more, as he’s self-publishing that series. But I told him at BookExpo that I was a big fan 😀
I’m glad you got some relief from the heat! Congrats to you and Brandee – can’t wait to see the new blog!
So am I, Charlie! Thank you 🙂 We can’t wait either – it’s going to be so much fun to blog together 🙂
So exciting about your blog marriage! I’m looking forward to it. You also have some good reviews coming up this week. And Yay for cooler temperatures! I can’t do puppies in action. My chocolate miniature poodle is 16.5, so it’s more like snoring in a heap. Anne -Books of My Heart
I guess you could do puppy in inaction? :p
We’re really excited about our upcoming nuptials as well. It’s going to be great to have a go at this together 🙂
Congrats on the merger! Sounds like it will be awesome. And glad you got some relief from the heat, and then the rain. Hope your temps stay reasonable. 🙂
Hercules does seem like a natural. And Freddy looks pretty comfy himself.
I’m thinking Midnight Rescue looks pretty good.
Thank you, Greg!
Hercules is so funny – when I take out my phone to take a picture, he strikes a pose. Freddy often looks away from me 😀
Midnight Rescue was awesome! Now, I’ve added the whole rest of the series to my kindle 😀
It’s been very rainy here these two weeks too. The dogs are too cute!!
I need to read romantic suspense again, the books look good. Good luck with the merge, that is exciting!
Enjoy!
We only got a couple of days worth of rain, but it cooled everything down nicely. I’ve already read Midnight Rescue, and it was really good!
Congrats on the merge with Brandee!! Enjoy all those new books and the weather too. Have wonderful Day!
I hope you enjoy your books. I loved THE CHASE. Your puppies are adorable.
Diane @ Diane’s Book Blog
Congrats to you guys on merging your blogs! That’s exciting.
Congrats on the upcoming merger! And the rain…I love the way your patio looks with the rain shining on it.
Enjoy your week and your books…thanks for sharing. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I can’t wait for the new merge….SO EXCITING!!! And lucky you on rain, we need it so badly here in the western US, I can barely breathe the smoke is so bad. You have a beautiful patio!!! 🙂
Haha, I love your rain photo. Good luck with the blog merge. Have a great week!
Hercules posing is amazing! I love that foot position. I keep hoping for a rainy day. We’ve had a few days where it’s rained maybe 20 minutes – just long enough to make everything steamy. Good luck with the blog merge! Have a great week!
I love the pic of you in the rain, Lexxie:). Though you are clearly eclipsed by those dogs – could they get more elegantly cool in front of a camera? Best of luck with the blog wedding – and I hope you have a fabulous week.
I was so happy to see rain this week too! It’s been too hot and dry for too long.
Congrats on the blog merger! Can’t wait to see it.
Congrats on the blog merger! We’ve also been getting some much needed rain, and it’s been lovely to have clouds and cooler temps this weekend. Things will get back to normal in the next few days, but I’ll take a little taste of fall anytime!
Congrats to you and Brandee on the marriage 🙂 Hope you are liking Midnight Rescue! Its a great series!
I love your dog pictures. We don’t get as much as rain as I would like and the humidity is currently at 60%. I am not sure how long I can take this heat.

Congrats on the blog merger. Hopefully, that will make things easier for both of you. We finally got some rain and cooler temps too. So much nicer. Have a great week.
