Feature and Follow #30 – a part of your favorite book

Posted 1 February, 2013 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Feature and Follow / 0 Comments

Feature and Follow by Parajunkee and AlisonCanRead YAY it’s Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. I prefer being followed via Linky or Google+; or you can like my facebook page. If you prefer e-mail or RSS, that’s good as well

As you can imagine, this is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers better, as well as a way to find new blogs, and be seen by more people yourself.

Now on to this week’s question:

What is the first thing you would do if you woke up to find yourself in your favorite book?

What a great question this week! Thanks @GizmosReviews.If I woke up in my favorite book, there would be a couple of things to do – the very first thing I would do was to check that Jamie was OK! Another one would be to check out exactly when I was. My favorite book is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, so the time thing is really important. And what is more important than Jamie, right?

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!

    • Yeah, it would make a big difference if I was in the late 18th century or in the 20th… I wouldn’t want to go against the dress code or anything 😀

Thanks for coming by to comment today!

    • Thanks for the comment and the follow, RobynLeanne 🙂 The Outlander series is really great, but the books are humongous! I am a little bit in love with Jamie, so that helps.

    • I love the Outlander series, the fact that it happens in different times makes it very interesting as well. Thanks for stopping by Jessica!

    • I agree, those books are so big – another reason why having a kindle is awesome in my opinion – I never had to carry around that huge book with me. And once you click ‘next page’ on the kindle, you don’t realize how much you’re reading until it’s over.
      Thanks for stopping by Megan.

    • Happy Friday to you, too, Liesel! The books you mentioned are enormous as well, no?
Thanks for taking the time to stop by 🙂

  1. Great answer. The “when” would be important and makes it all the more unique. I’ve read some of Outlander, but I didn’t have the patience at the time to actually finish it. I plan on picking it up again, though.

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. You’ve got a new follower, too. ;D Have a wonderful Friday!

    • I can totally understand you! I think when reading such a long book, you really need to be in the mood. The whole series is among my favorite, and I am impatiently waiting for the next book that is supposed to be published this fall.

Thanks for coming over to comment and follow.

    • Thanks for stopping by to comment and follow, Beth 🙂 I think the #FF is a great way both to meet new bloggers, and to add more books to my huge TBR list 🙂

      Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. LOVE Outlander and oh yes, make sure when you are and if Jamie’s okay! The only thing that would put a damper on my stay there is the lack of plumbing. Creature comforts is what I’m all about!

New Linky Follower! Here’s my FF!

    • 🙂 I am so excited about the next Outlander book to come out! I actually really miss Jamie (and OK, I miss Claire too). LOL lack of plumbing and electricity would make it difficult for me as well – and can you imagine life without a computer, cellphone and wifi?
Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!

    • Thanks for stopping by Adria 🙂 Just know that the Outlander has an average of 850 pages per book or something like that.
      Have a wonderful weekend!

    • LOL it had been a long time since I showed Jamie some love, and I really miss him these days.

Thanks for stopping by – have a wonderful weekend Jennifer.

    • Thanks for stopping by Jaclyn 🙂 Yeah, I need to know the characters I know and love are OK, you know? Have a good week!
