The Sunday Post # – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
We were off this week for our spring-break / Easter holiday, and the hubby, plus three of the kids, and Freddy spent a few days in Spain to have a change of scenery. Freddy really enjoyed traveling by car, which is definitely a plus! And he loved playing in the sand at the beach, too, it was so much fun to see him go crazy chasing his ball, and digging a hole. Now, we’re back home, to spring in full majesty, and more or less ready to attack school and work again. There is no more vacation for the kids until the summer, which only starts the first week of July. I’m the lucky one, having a week off for BEA in May 😉

OMG I can’t get over how cute he is! I am glad you had a great break, my son was off this week and daughter next but I am sad I wasn’t able to take off with them.
I can’t wait or BEA!
I hope you have a great week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox
Too bad you weren’t able to take time off to be with the kids, Michelle. I’m sure they still enjoyed their holiday, though.
I can’t wait for BEA either! I’m leaving in five weeks!
Hey that’s a plus if he doesn’t mind car travel. 🙂 Glad you got a little time away… Spain sounds sunny right about now. Have a great week… 😉
I know, I was so happy it went well to travel by car, if not, it would have been really difficult for us to bring him with us places 🙂
Did you say spring-break? holiday? SPAIN???? sand at the beach??? and going to BEA in May??? All in ONE weekly wrap up??? I AM SOOOO JEALOUS I CAN’T HANDLE IT 🙂
[I guess happy for you too 🙂 ]
Yeah, Daniela, I did say all that in ONE weekly wrap up… sorry. We drive down to Spain every chance we get, as you already know.
I wish you were going to BEA as well, it would be a lot of fun to meet in real life!
I would not be opposed to you posting puppy pictures every week :), he is so adorable. Glad you had a nice vacation and were able to relax a little. I finished The Year We Turned Forty a week or so ago and really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing your post on it. Have a great week!
I’m pretty sure I’ll include pictures of him every week, he’s so cute we keep clicking away, Laura 🙂
I’m glad you really enjoyed The Year We Turned Forty, too! It was well done, I thought, the choices we make always make an impact.
Oh, Freddy is ADORABLE!!! You’re really making me want a puppy with images of him chasing a ball and digging holes in the sand. 😉 I’m glad y’all had a nice little trip. I didn’t know you were going! I hope your re-introduction to the reality of school and work goes smoothly. At least you’ll have nice weather, right? The girls ended the winter guard season with a great performance! One more competition to go…
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my dear! **BIG HUGS**
LOL that would be something, Brandee… You telling your family you’re getting a puppy because mine is so cute 😉 And he was so excited on the beach! The happiest little ball of fur ever 🙂
I hope the guard competition went well yesterday. *BIG HUGS*
Aw, Freddy is just too cute! I’m glad he enjoyed the ride and playing on the beach. And yay for a nice family getaway. I wish I could get away for a little bit. hah
-Lauren
He really is very cute… We all want to cuddle him all the time. I hope you’ll be able to get away soon – it really is nice to have a change of scenery.
I bet Freddy was such a cutie at the beach. And lucky you. Spain and BEA!!!!
I know, I’m very, very lucky! I am so excited about BEA so I can meet up with some of my favorite bloggers 🙂
It sounds as if Freddy has well and truly settled in as a member of the family. The trip to Spain sounds nice and I am envious.
And I just commented to someone else heading to BEA that you’ll have to have a Sunday Post (etc) book blogging meet-up!
He has settled in, which was nice and quite easy. Now, we just need to use the same words when we want him to do (or not do) something 🙂
I will definitely have a BEA Sundady Post, and I think that for the week that I’m in Chicago, I’ll post about that rather than having reviews.
Ah such a cute pic of the dog.
Thanks Annemieke 🙂
Glad you had a great holiday this week! Freddy is gorgeous, and it sounds like he fits into your family perfectly. 🙂
Here’s my Sunday post:
https://rathertoofondofbooks.wordpress.com/2016/04/03/weekly-wrap-up-3-april-2016/
He does fit in with us perfectly 🙂 It’s so nice!
Freddy is so cute!! Glad he does well in the car. My dog HATES it. Good luck with getting back into the swing of things after break. And yay for BEA 🙂
I know there are a lot of dogs who really hate cars, so I was happy our drive went so well.
Freddie is super cute!!!!! So glad you guys enjoyed your spring break! I have been wanting to read the Jana Aston books! Glad to see you liked Right! Do I need to read Wrong first or are they stand alones?
Can’t wait to hear how BEA goes for you!!!
Both Wrong and Right can be read as standalones, Samantha 🙂
Ok…Freddy is adorable! I have actually been looking forward to your post this week because I knew you would put up a new Freddy picture (at least I hoped that you would). July sounds like a long time away. Hopefully, your kids can make it until then without any more vacation time. I am glad that you had a nice time off for spring break.
Hehe, I have a feeling there will be weekly puppy-posts here now. He’s so cute we click away all the time.
Yeah, it’s going to be a long haul until July, especially because my three oldest kids have exams in there as well.
Freddy is adorable!! I’m glad he enjoys car trips, too. My cats DO NOT like the car. At least not for the first half hour or so. They eventually wear themselves out and curl up and go to sleep. I’m so jealous that you’re going to BEA! I didn’t think I would mind missing it this year, but the closer it gets, the twitchier I’m getting over it. I hope you’ll have an amazing time!
Yeah, on the way down, he wasn’t exactly happy straight away, but when we drove back home, it was awesome! He went into his little carrier and stayed there 🙂
I’m sad you’re not going to BEA this year, it would have been so much fun to meet up!

Freddy is so cute. I miss puppies. It is great that you were able to get him at the same time you had a week off. It is great that he is good in the car. I love that Duncan is good in the car. He gets to go on pretty much all of our vacations. My big one in July is a 12+ hour drive, I don’t know what I would do if he wasn’t good in the car. I hope you have a great week.
Yeah, I want to be able to bring him with me everywhere, too. He’s already a full member of our family, and vacations are best when we’re all together 🙂
Oh my gosh. I just wanna smooch his snoot! Sounds like a wonderful time away with the family 😀
I know, right? And he’s SO cuddly, too.

Freddy is absolutely adorable Lexxie. Yay BEA is jut around the corner. Ah the poor kids, I am glad you all enjoyed a nice break!
I’m leaving for Chicago in exactly five weeks today, Kim, I can hardly believe it!
Adorable picture! It sounds like you had a nice time with your family — what a fun day at the beach! Have a great week.
It was so much fun to watch Freddy go crazy in the sand 🙂 It’s really like having a small child who helps us re-discover the world 🙂
Spain getaways sound lovely…my eldest son and wife (I’m sure I have mentioned this) love going there.
Your puppy is adorable, and I’m not really a dog person. Ouch! Did I just admit that out loud? I do love other people’s dogs. How’s that?
Have a great week…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
LOL it’s OK if you’re not a dog person, Laurel-Rain, I’m not going to hold that against you 🙂
Seriously, your dog is just too cute. He just distracted me from the rest of your post because he’s so darn adorable!
Hehe, maybe I won’t write anything next Sunday, just share a bunch of cute puppy pictures 😉
Freddy is so cute! Hearing his antics is so cute. It makes me want a puppy, which I’ve never had. Have a great week!
It’s our first puppy, too, Charlie, so we’re all learning here 🙂

Yeah! I am so excited for BEA. Although, I am not counting it as a vaca, since I already have anxiety over the drive and then trying to not miss out on anything will probably mean I will be in a panic about being in the right place, at the right time. I hope I get a chance to meet you there, that would be cool. Freddie is so cute. Glad he handled the car ride well. Have a great week!
I’m counting it as vacation since I’ll be off from work 🙂 And I won’t have to correct any tests while I’m away 😉
I hope you’ll be able to relax a bit there, even if there will probably be a little stressful with all the people.
Thanks for stopping by, Karen! I hope we’ll be able to meet up at BEA, too!
Too much puppy cuteness for me too handle! That’s fantastic he does well in the car. That makes life so much easier. Enjoy BEA! How exciting!
🙂 I’m so happy that seems to work so well, Katherine!
Great update! Sounds like you had a nice holiday.

My Sunday Catch Up Post! @ Paulette’s Papers
It was a great holiday, Danielle 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
I think you typed other things there but all I see is that adorable little puppy!!!!!!
Seriously that is so good he travels well, when my furry baby was a puppy she did not like to travel.
Have a great week!
LOL Freddy has the same effect on me, Heather. I have lots of things to do, but I want to spend my time cuddling and playing with him instead 😉
I seriously want Freddy! Sounds like he’s a good traveling companion. Glad you guys had a nice trip.
He’s an awesome traveling companion, Christy 🙂
Aww! Freddy is just the cutest little dog ever! I just want to give him a massive hug. it’s great to hear that he likes the car. My youngest dog hates it.
YOUR PUPPY IS SO ADORABLE! I would never get anything done if I lived with him lol. And he sounds so fun and playful. It also sounds like you had a nice break 🙂 A week off can be just the refreshing thing you need to get you through that stretch until the summer!
Freddy is too cute! Glad he had fun on vaca too!
This is the first time in 4 years that I’m not going to BEA. I’m going to ALA instead since it’s closer to home.
Karen @For What It’s Worth
LOOK AT FREDDY!! He’s just way too adorable ♥ and he’s grown already 😀 Gah! Oh and I can’t wait to read all about your BEA experience my friend! I wish I was going so we could meet! Have a wonderful week xx
What a little darling!
I know! We’re all completely and utterly in love with him 🙂
