Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #42

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

Continuing my binge-read of the Rock Chick series, I also continue finding delicious food quotes I just have to share here! Rock Chick Regret is the 6th book in Kristen Ashley’s series. And Sadie is a woman who has always hidden behind her ice princess façade, until things went very, very bad for her. Then, she realized she had some people she could call friends, and more were on the way. This quote is from the day after her first date with Hector – one of the Nightingale Hot Stuff men.

My Hungry Hearts quote:

We walked in, Ralphie looked up and called,”Hey Double H, Buddy called. Said he’s making his famous seared tuna in citrus and flash-fried noodles tonight. You missed the brioche. You cannot miss the tuna. That would be a crime against gastronomy.”

Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.

  1. *sigh* If only I liked seafood… 😉 You know I read this series before you started this meme and I’m now realizing how often food and drinks are a part of the story. 🙂 I just love that you binged on KA.
My power finally came back on after about 8 hours. I ended up having to get a store-bought cake since I couldn’t bake. And we lost a huge tree in the wind. I’m sad because it was a live one. Why couldn’t one of the dead ones have fallen?? It blocked our drive so James was out with his chainsaw at 9:30 last night… Hopefully your Thursday is going well! **BIG HUGS**

    • I keep forgetting you’re weird like that, Brandee 😉 Food and drinks are very important parts of the story in Rock Chick, can you imagine if we tried to include every single coffee? We’d have our meme done for a whole year!! And yes, my KA binge was awesome 😀
Oh my, 8 hours without power? And I’m sure Berk was happy with the store-bought cake, even if it wasn’t as good as a home-made one… Poor James having to work with the chainsaw at 9:30 in the evening! I hope no other trees will fall over this winter, or if they do, a dead one!
My Thursday is going well, it has been nice to neither teach nor have class today, I’m exhausted this week!
      *BIG HUGS*
