Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #140
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
Today, my Hungry Hearts quote is from Man Hands by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby. I laughed so hard in many places of this novel, and I have so many foodie quotes to choose from – Brynn is a food blogger, and she’s hilarious to boot.
My Hungry Hearts Quote:
I cut a nice slice of quiche for Sadie, scoop up some extra crispy home fries sprinkled lavishly with herbs and sea salt, and top it all with three pieces of thick-cut bacon, hot from the oven. Ash can get her own plate. I’m mad at her. We sit down at my little vintage 1950s metallic kitchen table – the one I bought ten seconds after Steve agreed to a divorce. He always said that vintage was just another word for crap.
I never should have married him.
“How’s Decker?” I ask Sadie. I have to wait until she stops moaning for her to answer. She’s just taken a big bite of the quiche. It’s moanable. I have to say. Basically it’s eggs, cream and cheese. What isn’t moanable about that?

Mmhhh quiche and crispy fries! Yum! I have Sarina Bowen on my TBR with forever and I need to check out some of her books soon. I love this one features a food blogger, that’s fun.
Sarina Bowen is awesome 🙂 And yeah, the food blogger heroine was great. Her blogging made her even more relatable, you know?

Lol I don’t think I’ve ever had quiche, but I’m certainly curious now! 😛
Mmm quiche is delicious! And with the home made fries, it made me salivate while reading. Definitely moanable 😉
