Waiting on Wednesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place to showcase a book we’re really looking forward to with bated breath! A new release in our favorite series, an exciting new title from a favorite author…

This week, I am waiting on Instinct (Chronicles of Nick #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon! I love this series which is set in her Dark Hunter universe, but where Nick is younger, and has a lot of choices to make. This title is scheduled for release on March 31st 2015 by St. Martin’s Griffin.

Instinct (Chronicles of Nick #6)

Zombies, demons, vampires, shapeshifters— another day in the life of Nick Gautier– and those are just his friends. But now that he’s accepted the demon that lives inside him, he must learn to control it and temper the very emotions that threaten the lives of everyone he cares for. Something that’s hard to do while trying to stay off the menus of those who want his head on a platter. And no one wants him more than the dark gods who created his race. Now that they know where he is, they will stop at nothing to reclaim him. And without knowing it, Nick has just embraced the one person he should never have trusted. The one person who will hand him over to his enemies to get back the life they lost.
Nick has finally accepted his fate, now he must learn to defy his destiny, and the dark, deadly forces that will stop at nothing to destroy everyone he loves so that they can again return to the world of man and own it.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.

  1. Marilyn

I am totally unfamiliar with this series, Lexxie. hope you enjoy this installment when its released.

I was having a little trouble loading your site the past few weeks. Don’t know why but I finally found away around the problem.

Hope you’re having a great week.

    • I love this series, because the Dark Hunter series was my ‘introduction’ into fantasy that’s a little different than UF and PNR.
I need to find out what has been going on here if you haven’t been able to load my blog. I had some trouble myself with the mobile site, and I hope I’ve been able to get rid of the problem now! Thank you for letting me know, Marilyn.
      Happy reading 🙂

    • It’s a great series, Jessica! And one that’s got the UF and paranormal elements I know you enjoy 🙂 Have a great day yourself.

    • Oh, I think you’d really enjoy this one, Melanie! Nick is a great character, and there are just so many things going on.
      Have a fantastic Wednesday.

  2. I started the first one when it came out but didn’t finish it (but this was also when I got bored easily and if a book didn’t hold my attention within the first 10 pages, I left it) so will have to try it again when I can. 🙂

    • I think I was so in love with the Dark Hunter and the Dream Hunter universe I was just happy to have more stories within that world 🙂 And Nick is such a great character that reading about the younger Nick was enjoyable to me. I hope you’ll enjoy it if you pick it back up again, Kirsty-Marie.

    • I know, right? Already waiting for the sixth book… it makes me both happy and sad at the same time – because it must mean Nick’s stories are ending soon.
I can’t wait to read KMM’s Burned, either! The release date has been changed several times, so that’s one I am almost out of patience for, Brandee. *BIG HUGS*

    • I’m not sure I would have picked it up if I wasn’t a huge Kenyon fan, Lily. But I’m really glad I did. It’s very well written, and the paranormal elements are amazing 🙂
